Man as a drummer myself I just absolutely can't believe how smoking good this guy is. Them chops! Simultaneously rapping and singing on top of that is just a whole nother level of incredible. I love how punchy the room sounds as well! Absolutely amazing performance!

@@thomaskane9464 not necessarily future, him and Bruno has been working on the Silk Sonic idea since 2017(smoking out the window was made around that time was the first song) then around 2020 they worked on the album, when leave the door open was released, the album was completed by then
My birthday is tomorrow, August 16th, and for my birthday gift, my 77 year old husband and I went to Las Vegas to see Silk Sonic on Saturday, August 13th. The BEST concert I have ever been to ....and I have been to many. Andy is the real deal! I am so glad I found him through Silk Sonic. This 66 year old is a big fan.....I will be dancing to your music until the good Lord takes me! Can't wait to see you again!!! I wish you all the BEST! You deserve it! Love your humble beginnings! Love everything about your music! What talent! Thank you!!!
Happy belated birthday, madam! It’s brings me life to learn of you and your husband living, learning, and loving in your truly ✨Golden Years✨. Continued blessings and many more to come!💫💫💫
Me being mad that this guy doesn't have a bigger audience but also feeling special that most people are trapped in the mainstream fast-food music industry.
I’d say he’s already mainstream, and if you really liked this mans music you’d worry less about what others like and just applaud Andy’s success. The man keeps growing and it’s amazing
Duuuuude...was rocking that for quite some time when it came to Anderson. Quality AF mini show. You're right though....this one is undeniably better. Obviously his comfort zone. Dude is captivating with everything he does. I'm mostly a stoner zeppelin loving rock head but really a fan of anything genius and that's why "this" is happening right now. Ain't ever gonna be another Beatles , zeppelin, nirvana, Floyd etc. I know none the genre but as I said I don't like to overly categorize. Lot of ya may laugh but Anderson is operating at that level...maybe more🤷♂️Ain't no one trick pony that's for God damn sure ❤👌🎵👊🍻😘🥰🖕🎈😎🎵😙💨😈🤟🤘
Anderson Paak and the Free Nationals is one of the best groups of our time. They are one of the only bands that combines rap with live instruments, all original music (no samples), flawless, and I mean flawless live performances. In fact, I like the live versions of the recorded songs much more than the originals. So rare these days. Anderson Paaks flows seamlessly from vocals, to drums, and drums and vocals. He is an excellent and creative drummer with an amazing rhythm. Combined with the Free Nationals, there is no stopping this band from taking over the world. This was the BEST NPR Tiny Desk discovery I have ever made and I have been following them ever since. Keep up the hits and instilling this world with your positive and uplifting vibes!!!
I have been listening to Paak since "Malibu" came out in 2016 and I am glad to see this collab is exposing Paak to a larger audience. He certainly deserves it, Paak and the Free Nationals are a special treat!
Why am I only seeing this now? 😭 Of all live performances on RU-vid, this is by far my favorite. The mixing is just so tight and clear! The tiny desk was already good, but this by is way way better.
I love the sound but it isn't really live. Look at the transition between Tints and King James, specifically at the trumpet player. Trumpet in the air in one second and the next and he's drinking some water @ 29:49 - 29:51. Edited.
Anderson Paak is the most likable artist of the past 5 years, his smile warms everyone up : happy birthday man What a great show, it feels like a private concert, forget covid for a time ! (thanks grubhub, you nailed your marketing) That would be a great moment to share on Valentine day
Can we have a moment of silence for how sick it is he's killing those drums and doing lead vocals at the same time though!? Really don't see that often🤯👌
Son: Daddy, why my sister's name is Rose Me: Because your mother love roses! Son: Thanks Daddy! Me: You're welcome! Grubhub Sound Bites: Anderson .Paak + The Free Nationals
Anderson .Paak is imho the most interesting artist that has emerged in the last decade up until now. Smooth but not too smooth voice, terrific drum skills, good looks, the nicest teeth I have ever seen. But foremost I like his aproach to music. And of course a big thumbs up for The Free Nationals. Great combination.
I love the sound but it isn't really live. Look at the transition between Tints and King James, specifically at the trumpet player. Trumpet in the air in one second and the next and he's drinking some water @ 29:49 - 29:51. Edited. Not that they aint talented.
Reminds me of the J.B.'s (James Browns band) and The Phoenix Horns (Earth Wind & Fire's horn section). Of course this magnificent band would realize there is a element missing and add horns to take the vibe, the energy and the Funk up to 11.5 - when it was already at 11 on a scale of 1 - to 10
that vintage ampeg sound. Its all mixed superb for having all them live room mics to contend with. The vocals including the backups are also amazing.Id love to be able to see the entire set up. just curious if they had vocals coming thru a pa or if only could hear in headphones as ive been seeing that a lot lately in small venues they give everyone headphones. He could package up the process that was used to capture this audio and it would sell as much as the album
AP is probably my most streamed artist in the last four years. I remember listening to Come Down the first time and being completely awestruck on how different it was from the mainstream music around that time. Anderson has been keeping it original all these years and also achieving commercial success! Speaks volumes of his and the Free National's talent. Cheers guys!!
He definitely isn't the most streamed artist but he still achieved a high level of success :) But yeah if ya talking straight numbers he's running at 15 millions listeners a month... Justin Bieber's record is 75 millions But that bout to change with the new Bruno collab!
@@lagunamangano @ 72 yrs listening to Anderson Paak, Wow! You automatically in the list of super cool people on earth 😁 I believe you would have loved his collab with Bruno Mars.
I play this at lest once a day,it never gets old, it always warms my heart💜 and soul to see Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals performing... I predict 🔮 when Covid is over this group will break world records n the 🎵🎵🎵 industry....this is New Years Eve 2021 and I am looking forward to seeing( A.P)and the F Nats....in my town in 2022....I truely cant wait until this dream comes true for me.....💜 guys...
He's just got 'IT'. So multi talented with his funky lil self, and nice teeth. The whole band just exude feel good energy. It's cold as FK where I am but this takes me to a warm summers evening. Paak, D'Angelo, Jaheim , Maxwell, Jill Scott, Erykha, Angie Stone and Jasmine Sullivan need to do a Collective Fk Covid Concert.
