@@OVXX666 yeah. There might be something to that. I agree. Why isn't Charli nominated for a Grammy, or Superbowl (half?)time, instead of that wanker the Weekend, or whatnot. I think Charli would make a wicked choice for the Superbowl. She deserves a Grammy. So many ppl out there writing crap, and Charli puts out awesome album after album.
I love her music so much. Best anti depressant ever. I really needed this right now more than I can express. Thank for everything. I couldn't be more grateful.
i hope I'm not too late, charli, you've gotten me through adulthood so far, starting with true romance and all the way up to now, i feel like ive grown with you as an artist even as you've morphed your sound several times, and molded it into something that's always true to where you are at the time, and whether its escapism pop (i cried the first time i heard unlock it, it was in the winter and i was in the airport but it was so beautiful) or dream pop lamentations (nuclear seasons got me through being homeless in 2014). you're truly golden. its almost fitting that the Grammys fails to acknowledge your stunning body of work. they're supposed to be accolades for artistic greatness, and the main mainstream has never really been great. you're now and always have been lightyears ahead. we don't deserve you. but you're here and I'm grateful for that. i really do love you. thanks for being with me and all the other angels. --Ashton
I think this music sounds gross a lot. I'd rather listen to a piano playing basic melodies then to her singing. Her style is not my cup of tea. It's a little overly repetitive at times IMO and she basically just sings rap styled lyrics and it sounds autotuned and whiney a lot...
queen........love you charli you are on a whole other level and too ahead of your time no wonder critics don't recognize your enormous talent.you'll be remembered as one of the greatest....
I remember I had a best friend that loved Charli XCX, like a HUGE fan for years and I didn’t get it, we were starting to make music at the time, and I didn’t get why she liked her so much… but now that I’m a full on musician and love all kinds of music, I get it now. Charli’s style is so sick and her music is so fun, and catchy her all her song lyrics are so good… I love it.
Listening on Friday after another stressful day teaching high school in the era of Covid. Thank you for this - love your music. Your fierce and your voice is unforgettable.
I fucking love you. Knowing you played Forever first hurts so good.. that was the song that played on shuffle right after my dog passed away. Havent listened to it since. So thank you Charli. 💙
Ugh she's so amazingggg fuck... There's no song like c2.0, it gets me so emotional! I love how in this performance of it she's just bopping around the first half, and then the break comes and it's like ahhhh....I choke back tears 'cause the lyrics remind me of times when we could see our friends before corona! Wish I could sing along to it in a packed venue with a bunch of ppl, sigh...I hope in 2021 Charli and Kim and Slayyyter all go on tour together and make life seem ok again :''''')
My neck is hurting, I have eye bags, feeling lonely, kinda have emotional issues because of the pandemic and scared of going out. But happy people like you is making things happen. You go Charli.
I LOVE YOU CHARLI💛!!!! You’re what raw talent is all about!! 😍👏🏽 Thank you for singing some of my favorite songs! : Gone, Detonate, enemy , unlock it 🤍 wishing you many blessings, love, peace and happiness in your heart 💜
"Unlock It" is the opening track on my Spotify "séance 2" playlist, followed by Kali Uchis, Allie X, The 1975, Grimes, Ariana/ Troye Sivan, Banks.... and then every millennial female musician on the planet showed up. It's currently over 18 hours long. Best
Anyways, "Gone" (single), came out the same day as Jillian BANKS 3rd album, so "Gone" is going back to back with "Gimme", surrounded by SZA. Jaden, Jorja Smith, Clean Bandit/ MARINA, Tommy Genesis, Alison Wonderland, Sky Ferreira. , Lykke Li, , FKA Twigs…. *note: a colllab between Charli and Alison Wonderland....:)
This is just what i needed right now. Thank you for keeping me motivated to finish all my schoolwork. Defo going to go to a live concert as soon as possible!
This was also streamed on at least two other channels and had over 10k live viewers on the Grubhub RU-vid channel, but you are right, the thumbnail is weird... I don't even know who the guy on it is! But the whole thing was weirdly organised as they did nothing against people spamming, said that we should put our questions in the chat before the LIVE Q&A started, so Charli would mostly read the comments people said at the end, even including the spammers and the fact that the video quality of her answering the questions was totally different from the one of her performing makes you wonder which part of the whole event was actually live!
Everything happening with Charli and her social media in 2020 seems a bit weird: She made her album involving her fans, but somehow does not want to repeat that like that and all of her videos don't get a lot of views, she said people can remix her songs and at first that people can send her the remixes and then later she will listen to all the remixes and make a Soundcloud playlist of the best ones, but she hasn't done anything about that until today and hasn't even been active on Soundcloud since like April or May and the same goes for RU-vid, she does not make her own live streams or concerts, but rather only charity events, her Instagram posts push certain artists and activists, but most of them have nothing to do with her music etc.!
It still shocks me how Charli hasn't been nominated for a Scammy's,,, she's been releasing shit better than those nominated artists *coughs in just in beaver*
I just love her so much. She is the mother I never had. She is the sister everybody would want. She is the friend that everybody deserves. I don't know a better person.
