First must extinct stupid birds wich don't do anything when see cuckoo chick in front of him pushing out his baby and after rising cuckoo baby. When stupid birds extinct or become smarter cuckoos will extinct automatically. Stupid person get beaten even in church.
I've always wanted to catch a cuckoo chick trying to evict the eggs from a nest just so I could turn the tables on it and watch while it falls to the ground instead of the eggs
that's a little psychotic, especially knowing that the baby cuckoo just reacts to stimuli on its back. maybe stop being a hypocrite, you might be the monster.
OMG same here. I've contemplated about a dozen stress tests if I'm ever fortunate enough to get my hands on a chick. *FACT* Whomever succeeds first, and films these stress tests to put that little fucker through, would become a RU-vid Legend.
Remember, it was never taught to push out the eggs or new hatchlings. It didn’t just decide one day to do it. It’s just part of their nature, instinct. Crazy when you think about it.
No. They are absolutely amazing. Think about the sheer strength in that newborn bird! & cuckoos are not the only parasitic birds. Btw, they help control bird population.
You sound suspicious of evolution, and rightly so. Evolution is a new age religion that attempts to explain the origin of life. This creature, like all creatures, have been coded with instinct. The code is in their DNA, like a computer code, and no intelligent code ever produced itself. God is one name we use to describe our Creator and DNA code is an easy way to see that we must have an incredible designer who created us with words. (Our DNA is created with chemical letters.) Now, I might ask, why would God make the cuckoo to be such an awful bird? And then I remember, we live in a fallen world. This is only a trial life. There are many more evil things than this particular parasitic bird. Men do more evil than this creature. If we turn away from our own evil ways, and turn toward the Lord Jesus Christ, we will be saved and enter the heavens where these kind of problems no longer exist. There is a spiritual evolution, but with our heavenly Father watching over us, and not by chance.
field16 Shut the fuck up no one asked for religion in this you fuck wit. Besides, use feel stupid believing in a magic man inthe skybwho sends you to eternal pain if you don't believe in him.
Smart enough to build a nest. Smart enough to lay eggs into the nest. Smart enough to watch their own chick die. *Not* smart enough to realize the obvious. (I use the term _smart_ extremely lightly.)
It's bizarre to me how the mother, seeing one of her young fall out of the nest before her eyes, does nothing about it. It's some evidence to me that this bird at least doesn't really have emotion, they're just programmed to do certain things, like feed any young bird(s) in its nest.
@@electricheartpony No, certainly not all animals have those emotions, in fact, the majority of animal species just straight up have *no* emotions. Insects, crustaceans, molusks, and invertebrates in general, which make more than 90% of all animals species, have no emotions because they lack the way of having them, either because their nervous system is archaic or straight up inexistent.
Cum nu si dau pasarelele deama ca acest cuc nu i urmasul lor si l cresc chiar daca le a eliminat ouale si puii lor naturali din cuib.Este instinctul lor matern ce i in casa lor le apartine😢❤
Interesting. I can't believe that the instincts are that strong in the baby Cuckoo to push out eggs/nest mates. Also, why doesn't the Cuckoo raise it's own young instead of leaving it up to other birds to do so?
missmommy185 oh that's simple cuckoo birds r known to be lazy y waste energy on raising young that's one purpose is to kill each other when u can lay one egg in another birds nest let the do all the work and insure ur dna will continue
It’s another example of advantageous adaptation. The cuckoo developed a way to survive, even at the expense of others. It is not selfish or cruel. It is simply how these things work.
It's amazing that baby cuckoos know to get rid of other eggs and baby birds in the nest with them by instinct alone. It's not something they learn to do, they just know how.
THANK YOU ALL FOR WATCHING THE VIDEO AND THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE SUBSCRIBED, I DO APPRECIATE THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE CONSRTUCTIVE CRITISCISM ABOUT THE CUCKOO . NATURE IS A MARVELLOUS THING.
Omg this is super weird but I noticed your last name is Keeling and I was wondering if you’ve ever heard of Keeling(Cocos) islands or are possibly related to the family that once owned the island. If you get this a lot I apologize but I’m a huge fan of the territory’s of the world so I was just super curious. Thanks!
Those are plucky little Starlings..... funny lil birds.... common in the pastures with the cows.... plentiful.... ps- Mary!!! we had vultures move into our city... not even kidding.... there must be 8-9 of them now, living in pine trees, in middle of our city... Southern Alberta.... Good Lord broke the ugly stick on those things... 🤣
It gets me how the young just instinctively know to push the other eggs out. Also, they weren't lying when they said that if cuckoos find their eggs gone or destroyed that they'll come back with a vengeance. Mom seems to be hanging close by because you can hear her throughout the video.
Sometimes I wonder how exactly aware these birds are of what they're doing is it purely instinct or are they literally going through this knowing that their ending a life
MrJabloney don't speak out your ass. Elephants regularly visit the sites of their dead. Primates have been known to have funeral processions when an infant dies, dolphins name their children, penguins grieve when their egg or chick die, dogs go off their food when a companion passes, whales shield seals from orcas. www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/animal-emotions/201306/universal-declaration-animal-sentience-no-pretending
MrJabloney grieving for a dead one is instrinctual in humans too. Noone has to be taught to grieve unless it's a physcopath. You don't want to listen to facts you only have alot of baseless opinions so I'm done with this conversation. And yes animals leave their young to die. It doesn't make any sense to try and keep a defective child alive, especially in such wild and unpredictable enviorments. I consider it a mercy
@MrJabloney STRONGLY depends on the animal. Not all animals have the same level of intelligence. A snake does NOT feel gratitude for you letting it out of its cage though.
There is no conscious thought involved when the cuckoo chick throws the other chick out. It will throw anything out of its nest because the genes that evolved to cause a chick to do that have become commonplace in the cuckoo gene pool as it's such an effective survival strategy. Plenty of bird species have a defence by being able to recognise their own eggs or spot cuckoo eggs and eat them. I recommend "The Selfish Gene" by Richard Dawkins for anyone who wants to understand how these instincts and adaptations evolve beyond just seeing the animal as "cruel".
😮.. natural selection at its finest.. But what will happen when these crazy killers are done erasing competition.. who will raise their progeny. .. will they evolve to adapt to some other types of nest.
I like the cuckoo being food for some wild cat, that would be nice. It is not bird baby, it a devil in form of bird. The mother could feed it and they babies too, but the devil want take the lives of the mother true babies.
Could Human re-training the evil bird start at hatch? like raise them in different way, do not let's them kill others, may be when they grow up, they will forget about being evil? That will be a great achievement . Thank you
