The Grulla horse, also known as the Grullo or Blue Dun, is a rare color breed of horse characterized by a mouse-colored or smoky gray coat with black or dark stripes on its legs and often a black mane and tail. The coloration is caused by a dilution gene acting on a black base coat, resulting in a distinct, striking appearance. Grulla horses are often used for ranch work, trail riding, and pleasure riding, and are known for their athleticism, hardiness, and versatility.
