Cory FYI the bearing you are using for the steering column is a replacement for a pillow block type bearing the collar is an eccentric to lock the inner race of bearing to the shaft, the grove with small holes on the outer race of the bearing are for the lubricant to pass through to lubricate the ball bearings when installed in a housing. I would assume that eventually dust and water are going to enter and cause the bearing to fail since it isn’t an actual sealed bearing since it isn’t installed in a housing it is intended for.

Quick question why don't you guys use the copper anti- seize over the silver version it better and high temp and if you use it on battery cable ends it also fills in the gaps for better connection on your battery terminals

Steering looks good! A few steps closer brother !

You can still run the wires through that tube on the steering column bracket for that fuse box.

If you’re working on them and not ready to mount them, take a bicycle tube because it’s cheap and cut a piece and slip it over the wiring and tape it or Ty wrap it! Then you can lay it down and don’t have to worry about it grounding out brother! 🤷🏼👌🏻👍🏻 just something I learned from the same mistakes! Keeps them protected!

Wheel barrel wheel bearing work perfectly over 3/4 steering shaft. Then a 1-1/4 emy comduit goes over the bearing. How i build my steering columns
