Hello,I also have this same radio,I notice that you are turning the tuning knob the opposite way to which the pointer is travelling,also ,as I have only just aquired this radio,can you tell me how you keep the dial lighting on ,mine just works when I press the red button.Mine is very crackly when tuning LW/MW and SHORT WAVE,maybe needs some attention.Lovely radio,I also have a Music Boy 210,bought by me new in 1970 Thanks
If your radio is "battery only" means if it has no power supply (like here the TN12B) then this is normal for saving battery life. It only lights as long you press the red knob. With mains pluged it lights constantly. This is with almost all Grundig radios.
The problem is, that it sometimes take very long time with such restorations, often over days. Also it is quite difficult to film if you are alone and need film + work. Often you need then focus the cam to show details. I also only use a smartphone for this recordings. It would not help much with only an overview over the workbench. I did think about that already, but then decide not to do. But I have some shorter clips about some spezific work Online in my channel.
