Why is everyone hating? I mean everyone is saying about the historical past of grunge and I respect that. A lot of people are also saying about how they hate this generation. Well I'm sorry for being born! I am a millennium baby so I didn't actually know what it's like in the 90s. Even though I did wish that I grew up in that era because "I was born in the wrong generation" 😂. But she has done a inspired look for this era. So please go hate somewhere else because I don't see you having to make videos all the time. Love you Roxxaurus!! 💖

Nothing wrong with the looks, but I am always surprised how youngsters nowadays mash up the bandshirts. No Grunge fans in the early 90s wore Guns N Roses (Glam / Heavy Metal) and defenetly not The Smits (Early 80s british New Wave) bandshirts. Same with the lighter at 2:49: as cool as it is, only a Motley Crue fan driving a pimped up Harley would had worn that sort of accesories XD Would ad some sheer black tights to the last outfit btw :p
FrightfulAccountant personally I like mixing up looks with other bands I like. (like guns n roses and the smiths lol) you don't need to copy the 90s/80s grunge era exactly into your style
Erin Matthew Yeah I understand and I don't say it's ugly. Far from as a matter of facts. But if you were a teen in the 80s or 90s, you simply could not mix up all this different styles. People would had call it fake and wanna be. All those bands made very diffrent kind of music and stood vor verry different opinions and views on life.
FrightfulAccountant Actually "grunge" fans in the 90s did wear band shirts from other genres and they were not called "fakes". It's not so black and white. I was a 90s teen, I was/am a die hard "grunge" fan (god I hate that label), was in "grunge" bands, as were many of my friends… We wore AIC, Soundgarden, Screaming Trees, Green River etc. shirts. We also wore Pantera, Anthrax, ACDC, GNR, Blind Melon, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath etc. shirts. It didn't make us any less "grunge" fans. The "grunge" bands of that time wore hard rock and metal shirts, did that make them any less "grunge"? No! Jerry Cantrell was a friggin Elton John and Metallica fan. He wore ACDC and Van Halen shirts! Also, there are "grunge" bands that are more like the pixies, and there are bands that are more metal like Alice in Chains… If you were into metal or hard rock, it didn't make you any less of a real "grunge" fan. Actually, I remember when "grunge" gained mainstream popularity there'd be those people that would jump on the bandwagon of the next big thing, and they'd only listen to "Nevermind" and "Pearl Jam Ten" and think they were all "grunge" and if you listened to anything else from the past you weren't. They of course owned 1 Nirvana shirt, 1 Pearl Jam shirt, a couple flannel, a pair of Docs, and didn't know the vast majority of other "grunge" bands out there. Those were the real fakers, and just as quick as they jumped on the bandwagon, they jumped off when the next big thing came along. While GNR are obviously not a "grunge" band, it's plain wrong to assert that if you were a "real" "grunge" fan in the 90s you wouldn't wear a GNR shirt or some other none Grunge band shirt.
These outfits are perf and so is your makeup. These comments however, disgust me. I hate having to use the word "grunge" or "soft grunge" but to find inspiration for this type of style, these are key words that you unfortunately have to use. Just like with boho, are you gonna jump all over those people as well for wearing a head band and maxi dress? saying they disrespect the hippy movement? Just let people enjoy what fashion they like, and how they choose to express their individuality instead of trying to give everyone a history lesson.

Everyone is spazzing out about the fact that our generations version of grunge is much more different than how it was in the first few years it came to be. This is a totally different era and we are embracing the idea and background of grunge and making it into our own. Seriously, everything has evolved one way or another regardless of how it may be. I love these ideas and congrats on the views! ♥♥♥ I will be waiting for more!
The thing is, this new trend is not a version of Grunge, and it's not an evolution on it either, and that's the point. The way the people who were a part of the Grunge scene dressed was an expression of that counter culture, which was to dress in your everyday clothes and disregard "fashion". The new trend today is to embrace "fashion" and the "image", which runs completely counter to the motivations that lead Grunge fans to wear what they wore. The difference is unsubtle. No "background" nor "idea" of Grunge has been embraced in the current trend... It someone today really wanted to embrace Grunge and make it their "own" or "evolve" it, they'd reject the image of Grunge that has become heavily commercialized. The Plummer who wears his work overalls around is expressing more Grunge ethos. The reason why those Seattle guys wore so much Flannel in the first place was because people up there, especially in the logging industry and working class industries, wore a lot of Flannel. It was just regular every day wear and not "stylized", and that was the point. the true expression of grunge would be different in different places, but it would not include commercialized signifiers for Grunge. I don't believe people are "spazzing out" because the current trend is a "variation" of Grunge, Because it's not a variation in the least, it's the opposite. I believe people are "spazzing out" because the people supporting this new "fashion" are promoting it as something its not. I have nothing against the look, I think the girl in this vid looks good, but select a different name.
You guys really need to calm down with giving her hate for even using the word grunge Jesus Christ. This was HER take on it and she used pieces that inspired her for these outfits. You guys act like she's stabbing someone in the neck. If you don't like the way she's using it then don't watch the video. Simple as that.
Those looks are really AMAZING, sorry for the haters but I find them "grunge". For me, "being grunge" isn't necessarily a way of life, but a way to get dressed. Don't worry girl, you're pretty and you can say you're grunge. REALLY.
this may be your "interpretation" but for the most part, it is inherently wrong. most of the outfits you showed better represent the punk and new wave movements of the 70's & 80's. really, only 2 of these were even close to what grunge fashion was like.
You look gorgeous but I'm one of those people who think: stop making a "grunge style" or whatever because is not. when "grunge" was popular, it was not about "Do I look grunge?" It was more about I don't know stop taking care about how do you look, something like "I don't care about my clothes or how I look. bye"... I think so. I like your take on the grunge look, even though it's not really grunge, like at all, i don't see what all the hate comments are for. The title says 'grunge inspired' and the description says it's your take on it. Personally i think it all looks a little too put together to be grunge and gave more of a soft grunge/goth feel, but they outfits were still really cute!
I would so dress like this but because I don't know those bands I feel like people would deem me a poser haha but anyways this video was so well edited and I love all the outfits! Don't listen to all the hate that people are giving you, clearly it is your interpretation of grunge and the people getting so upset need to stop wasting time commenting on this video.

I Don't understand why there is hate on this video it's your video if they think they can do better I don't see them making one.
