this is one of my favorite videos you have done Angie. I'm 49 3/4 years old and I love seeing the complete real start to finish - creapy skin and all! Keeping it real! I love it.
Hi Angie! I am a 48 year old, anti-aging beauty blogger from Los Angeles. I just wanted you to know that I LOVE your channel. It's so nice to see another youtube channel that is not done by a 20 something year old girl with perfect skin. I really love what you are doing!
Fantastic video from my one of my favorite RU-vidrs! I can't tell you how much you and a few other "over 40 & 50" RU-vidrs have helped me in finding my beauty groove again. Thank you.
Thank you for another fantastic tutorial Angie! I especially appreciate all your research on skincare. I basically follow your routines because I know you have done all the legwork for us (I'm just 1 year younger). I've been following you for about a year and every time I get an inquiry on what I do for my skin, I turn them on to you. Just wanted to let you know how much you are appreciated!
I'm loving all your videos with your tips, tricks, tutorials and testings!! The products you've recommended have changed my skin! I am over 60 years old and people take me for 45. Thank you, thank you!!
You really have mastered the makeup application for yourself right down to the all products and the tools. I also like how you have a sensible approach to makeup and don't get swept up by the hype on social media for certain products. Great tutorial, thanks!
I just turned 46 and I am so happy to have found your channel! I love the younger girls, but you are so right about their techniques not always working for more mature skin. You're beautiful!!!
Angie, another wonderful video - thank you so much. I truly enjoy the information you provide and share, and I love your style very, very much - both in the look you aim to achieve, as well as the personality you choose to have - and with both, you are very classy. I love watching your product suggestions, your application techniques, enjoying the wonderful information you provide, and you are clearly a quality person. I'm so grateful you are part of the RU-vid community; people like you is why I love visiting RU-vid when I can. Great content, professional yet personable, etc. Well done, as always.
Thank you so much for your videos! I get so many wonderful ideas for products and techniques. You are lovely and SO lucky that you don't have to deal with under eye circles! To me, that is what ages me more than anything. I've been using It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye and it's fabulous!
Yes to higher-placed blush! I'm so happy that you mentioned that! And "eyeshadow skipping" - I certainly have experienced that! Wonderful video, Angie, thank you!
Hi Angie, I just wanted to let you know that I have learned so much about skin care and makeup since I started watching your videos. Even though I have a different skin color than you, that part really just doesn't matter, because your tutorials still give me so much advice when it comes to purchasing the best products for my skin type, and my age. So again, thank you very much for all of your help!
Absolutely loved your demonstration! I had stopped wearing makeup because I just couldn't get it to look natural, but your video gives me hope! Thanks so very much.
I appreciate so much your thoroughness in your tutorials! All the products from makeup to tools. It makes me less fearful of trying more makeup again. I have never been good at applying makeup, so I have always opted for minimal, but getting older and searching for a little help in looking a bit 'fresher', shall I say. Otherwise, I look 'tired' or 'ill'...:(
Another great video I really appreciate! There are so few mature goddesses out there helping us with skin care and makeup ideas. I'm 62 but feel 25 and want to look fabulous which is where you help me. You look more beautiful now than in your earlier videos to me. Kisses!
Hi Sister. Glad I found you. I was widowed ten years ago at 45. Although age signs were kicking in I hadn't reached that panic stage. I went into a 10year depression waking up to find I was old lol. I quickly got to working my self esteem into place. Of course that made me look 5years younger I also realized that most of the jowls and deep lines lessened when I laughed or smile. So I do a lot of that:-). With that done I've now turned to you. I love your direct approach and honest dislike for a woman's ageing process. it's almost cruel. You have helped enormously. I am receiving the holy grail lol of compliments "your not 57" To me" you look great for your age just doesn't cut it". You encourage me to put up the good fight and not accept that I'm stuck with a 57 year-old face. You do this In an empowering way not in vanity. I do have a question. Do lifting and firming creams really work.If so I am for Canada is there a product out my way that works. Wishing you peace, harmony and many thanks. Getting Younger Everyday.
Hi Lori~ Great to hear you're fighting the good fight right along with me & you're out of your funk! A lifting or firming cream will only work if it contains certain active ingredients like retinol or glycolic acid. The only true "lifting/firming" cream is prescription retin-A. With all 3 the lifting/firming takes time and is subtle but enough that it's worth the time/effort. Of course, none of them work like a face lift or filler. xo ~Angie
HotandFlashy Thanks for the wonderfull response.with all that being said. What are your feelings on lifts and fillers. I have asked myself many times where honestly does my desire comes from to keep my youthful appearance. lm pleased to say simply for me. looking younger gives me more energy drive and determination to live a more exciting adventurous and youthful life. So I do value your thoughts on semi permanent or permanent results. Happiest of Holidays By the way you are very beautiful women even with no makeup. And your tips for dropping lids have been very helpful especially in selfies.
What a beautiful woman you are, Angie. Unfortunately, I know all about skipping when applying eye shadow. I'm definitely gonna give the Tarte eyelid primer a try because I really feel the Urban Decay Primer Potion lends to the skipping. I very much enjoy watching women who are more my age apply makeup, because you're so correct when you say the techniques the youngsters use just do not translate to older women. Thank you for sharing your techniques with us older gals :)
"Oh to have those young eyelids again". :) Isn't it crazy? We had NO idea how lucky we were to have those eyelids! Ugh! ;) Love your make-up looks!! You always create such a subtle and natural look. Beautiful!
I just discovered you very recently and love your videos!! I love the extreme close ups that you show as this really shows us what the products are doing throughout the day!
I discovered the flesh toned pencil around my lip line trick when I was clearing out my makeup drawer. I had about three different flesh pencils and wondered what the heck I'd bought them for. Got the idea to outline the lip vermilion line and it filled in tiny cracks and often made lipliner unnecessary. When I do wear lipliner, I use your Rimmel pencil. Took me forever to find an automatic pencil in the shade which is closest to my natural lips. Cheap, too! I pray they never discontinue it!
I love the whole package and have added more products to my wishlist. You are a true artist, Angie. I love all of your tutorials! At 74 I want to look my best, and you are an excellent teacher. Thanks so much!!!
So good to see someone else share makeup tips for older women. Def gonna try the IT cosmetics powder if I can find it in the UK. Love the look of that Becca highlight too - you look great! X
Angie I love that lipliner!! I love all of your suggestions, I feel like you are always honest and I trust your opinions! Sending love from the other end of MA xoxo
I'm 22 yo but I soo prefer this natural make up finish than the usual full-makeup over-exaggerated and cakey looks that most of my ages girls do. Great tutorial!
Thank you Angie....for the gift of YOU! So appreciate what you do. Loved todays video. I have to be careful watching though, it always cost me money...I ordered three items during the video! But I have to say, I am loving my new look thanks to you. You look gorgeous as always.
Oh yes - completely understand the skipping of the eyeshadow on older hooded eyes. Lol. I so enjoy your tutorials and have learned a lot about skin care through you as well. Just started the vitamin C serum and a retinol. Thank you, thank you!!
You look great! Thank you for this tutorial. I know just what you mean about trying to replicate techniques from younger RU-vidrs, LOL. Your channel is among my faves.
Thank you so much for the tip above the lip. This may be helpful for some scarring around my lip corners. and yes I know what you mean when you say skipping with eyeshadow application
thanks again, Angie. I think this might be good bridal makeup look, too. I'm in my late 30s and looking for bridal makeup inspiration (especially for deep set eyes). I've decided to do my own because I know my face better than anyone! thanks for sharing all your tips and let me know if you have any ideas for a modern "English rose/ blushing bride" look.
Angie, this is a very lovely look! I love that Tarte eye primer. It is wonderful and lasts a long time. I find the MAC shadows to be the best and use them most of the time. Thanks for a great video.
Wonderful tutorial!! You look so natural just a real beautiful look. I look forward to your videos and the great tips you give us!! Thank you ... :-) Deb
Thank you so much for making this, Angie!!! Btw, half of the A-list stars are wearing Chanel foundation, the other half are wearing Armani Luminous Silk, and Dior Capture Totale Foundation. I hope one day you can try these and see if they hold up to the Perfection Lumiere Velvet! P.S I tried them on in the stores, with no primer. I liked the Luminous Silk a lot, but the Capture made my pores look bigger than when I have no foundation on.
totally! And normally, when younger ages do a makeup video the makeup is SO exaggerated! The girls usually look so fake, like using a mascara or something...
Hi Angie, just began watching your channel and I'm very happy I did! Thanks for the great tip that over 50 it's not a crime to skip powder in those fine line areas! This has been so frustrating, duh why didn't I realize that?? Thanks so much.
Love the 'blob technique'.... going to try this today! by the way Angie I'm 60 at the end of this month and 'blob' is how my make-up looked until I subscribed to your channel..so thank you and please keep up the good work :-)
Great techniques for me to use! You honestly look great in the before and after. I still struggle with eyeliner 😢. Rapid Lash stopped working for me, your lashes look great. Can't go wrong with Lancome. Thanks!
Angie, you have some of the best, honest and informative videos I've seen, (not 50 yet, but in the 45-50 bracket). I haven't seen anyone really address covering for really legitimately purple on days to purply-maroon under- eye problems for older skin mind you but really really thin, and well not ivory or even porcelain tho pink undertones is a must (yellows turn me sallow); I'm leaning more toward translucent porcelain to slightly rosacea pinkish if I had to name it! LoL Nevertheless finding concealers or corrector or much anything that doesn't look cakey is tough! Any suggestions!?
I'm dying laughing at the"blob technique". I grew up watching my mom do the winged eyeliner (I'm 53) but I can't do one worth a hoot! I I'll have to try that! I so appreciate all the great information you present.😃
Very pretty, Angie! I have a few cream blushes, and I do like them. It's hard to make the switch from powder to cream, but I'm really enjoying the cream blushes. One I really like is the Drew Barrymore Flower Beauty Win Some, Rouge Some Cream Blush. You can find it at Walmart!
