Pack a box full of things that will make you feel right at home and need access to straight away. make this the first box you unpack so even if you don't get everything unpacked that night, you'll be comfortable that night. When I moved, my box had some cosy clothes to sleep and lounge in, a wash bag with all the essentials, some blankets and candles to make it feel like a home, my kettle and tea supplies, bedding, and a plant because greenery makes me happy :) Makes a stressful time that little bit more comfortable. my best tip for you moving into your new apartment is to take pictures of EVERYTHING when you first get there. and I mean EVERYTHING. inside of the oven, washing machine, fridge etc. Because lots of landlords are really shitty and will try to lie to keep your deposit so you need to have evidence to show the condition of the place when you moved in. I moved out of my first house into my second one at the beginning of September and I only got all my deposit stuff sorted YESTERDAY because I had to fight the landlords so much.

I just moved out of my parents house in July, and it has been one of the best decisions I've ever made! I know you'll be much happier too! The best advice I can give you is to take your time settling in and decorating your apartment, no need to rush anything.

We're moving too! We've had an apartment before but now got a 2 bedroom house for rent. Not sure what tips to give but I guarantee you'll be a lot happier. Something about moving out is so liberating and just gives you so much freedom :)

You are one of the sweetest and charming beauty bloggers and I'm totally hooked, keep up the good work ♥ ♥ ♥ p.s. one tip that I totally learned the hard way when I moved a couple times in college is to mark your boxes or moving containers with what's inside. This way it's MUCH easier to find things when you need them and to put boxes and containers of things where they go before you open everything and start putting things away. ♥

ahhh I'm so happy you're moving to your own place, I definitely know what it's like when you're in that phase when you have to leave your family nest and live on your own. I am going through the same thing right now and I'd honestly love to see how it turned out for you. I think your creativity, productivity, motivation and general health improves when you have control over things when you live alone, at least for some people. so, I wish you lots of luck when you move and I hope you can achieve your dreams and whatever you set your mind to in the future.

You are adorable. Congratulations on the move. It's like an entire new world finally moving out. It's so great having your own area to do what you please when you please. I loved what you said about being healthier when you move out. I started yoga and meal planning because the fridge and oven were all mine!. As far as a tip, Id say once you have the place decorated and your settled ,invite him over and make him dinner in your new place :) and visit time to time on his island Much love!

I definitely think that you can walk around like that. the look you created id's beautiful. it's always good to see something more creative, because not many people are confident enough or like to where different colored eye liners like that and, they're afraid to do something different because of what other people might say, rather than what you personally like yourself. Pack anything that is not fragile into reuseable bags, not boxes! Boxes are hard to pick up and carry, bags are easier to move. This is the best advice I have ever received and I've moved almost a dozen times now.

I'm moving too, tomorrow! Last night in my super comfy bed and off to a tiiiny (and super stinky) apartment my university gave to me. I should have a roommate but she's literally a GHOST no one has seen her for MONTHS but I'm kinda happy about that. I packed lots of warm cozy things and my faithful pillow, also the first thing I'm going to get is a small white rose plant, I think plants make every house instantly feel more like home!

ohhhh i lov wearing my lips like this !! this has to b my fav look of u since ur demon tut for halloween :') moving tips: 1. if ur kitchen isnt installed yet bring a waterboiler and instant soup 2. label your boxes 3. try to set up all of your furniture asap (otherwise.... itll lie around unassembled a few weeks in.) do it while you're in the flow of doing things. 4. get some really cute plates and bowls so u got smthn to look forward to eat off of n make cooking even more fun !! 5. get 2 doormats one for outside the door and one for inside so u have smthn where guests can put there shoes and (esp in winter) u dont get ur floor all messy good luck with moving !!

Make sure to take care of yourself when actually moving. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy foods! And don't expect to be moved in right away. It'll take weeks or even months. Congratulations on getting your own place! I know how great it feels to finally be on my own!

loved the look! One tip I have for you is that you won't have everything at once probably. When I moved I wanted everything to be perfect from the first day but that's just not how it works (sadly) Just get everything step by step :) and you know we want an apartment tour?! can't wait

I have two things I wish I'd done better when first moving out. 1) Label the moving boxes! Don't just write "kitchen", write exactly what's in it. ex. "plates, glasses, cutlery". Makes it so much easier to unpack as you go. 2) Keep all the food receipts the first months! A common beginner's mistake is food waste and/or overspendning. If you keep the receipts the first months you can get a quick overview of what are your staples, what do you never finish before it spoils, etc. Good luck :)

Beautiful! I have moved a TON of times. It sucks. My tips are to pack as much as you can in advance, take it slow so you don't get overwhelmed. And make sure to have things you will need right away available, like toilet paper!
