I am the very lucky owner of the OM version made with the very same tree as this one. Not only is it gorgeous, it sounds stunning. Boucher guitars really are way at the top of the heap. They really are a blessing to guitar players. I LOVE mine!

I appreciate you distinguishing 'Private Stock' from 'Limited Edition'. I love JP and both my Bouchers. I think the 'HG' in this PS-HG-166 stands for 'Holy Geezuz!'

Beautiful Instrument. Maple is one my favorite tone woods. There’s so many Custom Builders on the planet these days. Boucher’s shop possibly crafts the finest Acoustic’s up in your region. But it a far stretch to claim they’re the best on the planet. The secret to crafting a tone monster is not Rocket science. Quality Seasoned woods. Craft the guitar as light and responsive as possible, while still retaining strength to withstand the tension and years of playing. Just looking through the sound hole on that guitar I can see the Back braces’ are carved Razor thin! Love the Woods and appointments on that pretty slot head guitar. Thanks for sharing. If I lived in your area-I’d probably own a hand picked axe from their shop.

Man that guitar is clear! Very responsive top. Love it. I have been watching a lot of videos from different guitar makers lately and I find Boucher Guitars to be the most consistent in tone and depth. He makes some kickass guitars! Amazing superior instrument . Is Sugar Maple same as Flamed Maple? Because I will be making a Sugar Maple Back and sides with a Torrified Sitka top next. I made a Cedar top with Walnut back n sides and it turned out not bad at all. Sounds decent. I screwed up the fret board though . Too much radius. I leveled it with fiberglass resin and put a 20 radius in it. The intonation changes with capo so I have to retune it when using capo. Hopefully the guitar I'm building now will be better. It's 3A Sitka top with Jatoba back n sides. Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge. I'll post it on my channel when i finish it.

Beautiful git. My buddy had a boucher at the pub this week for St Paddys concert. I picked up a George Rizsanyi at the pawn shop a few weeks, ago: NS red spruce top, quilt maple fretboard, quilt fiddleback, flame sides, handcarved neck with quilt down mid of back of neck. this is the nicest sounding git ive ever played ( and ive got a bunch due to 4 decades of GAS) got it for $150 ( they didnt recognize the luthier- I did) George doesnt make gits anymore but was one of the finest Master luths in Canada imo. i had emailed JP to see if he ever played one..if anyone has one or has played one, share your experience with me- appreciated

geez that seems like an amazing volume for a parlour guitar , some can sound like "baby guitars " lets say lacking a lot of character due to the small sound chamber , this one has great reverberating bass notes and amazing, biting high notes . Really nice figured woods as well. Beautiful !

Just a beautiful instrument. Looks like a 1 3/4 nut. I bet it's a beautiful finger picking guitar. 6700 is an extremely good price. I thought it would be more.

Hey there, JP. The camera can literally be deceiving when it comes to size. However, are you really certain that beautiful axe is a "000 Orchestra body size, with the traditional 15" wide Lower Bout"? It definitely looks more like a Martin style 00 or a Gibson style L00 body size/shape. The 000 Orchestra body is a tad wider than that axe in both the upper and lower bouts. Now, I do know that any 12-fret to the body can have different body dimensions than the 14-fret to the body. But still, that looks closer to a 00-0 or a Parlor sized guitar. Just an observation that could be in error from my eyes in relation to the camera? It's a brilliant guitar no matter its size!
