I used to ride over wet cobblestones in the old part of the city of Bremen, north Germany. Gently letting the back tyre lose grip when pulling away from the lights, but never hitting the red line. Sounded impressive ! Was'nt difficult to do. He's going to have a big bill for all the replacement parts after screaming it like that. If a gasket does'nt blow first he'll be burning oil residue, onto parts that should stay lubricated, loosening stuff up from the vibrations of the motor, taking the risk that maybe as you are doing 150mph and a vital componant throws in the towel, By the time you've stopped, your motor is a box of smarties and you"ve slid down the road wondering why your dream bubble popped & you're 10 thousand dollars down and how you did'nt think it could happen to you...?
@@Scottish1996 Of course they could just like he did driving through the cones or just a simple accident, you’re another statistic waiting to happen if you think this is legitimately safe, especially on public roads where your sharing them law abiding drivers (mostly).
It can’t in that tunnel you aren’t even allowed to switch lanes in that tunnel and it’s only 2 lanes even if 1 of the lanes is blocked they have to close the entire tunnel because it is constructed underwater in New York, There’s 2 of these tunnels.
Had an 05 Zx636r with lots of mods that did 178. Sold it along with my 4 wheeled toys to buy a house 😢. Thanks for rekindling that memory. I was never lucky enough to have a tunnel that long though. I miss that sound. Watched this like 10 times now.

600cc sport bikes will forever hold a place in my heart. First bike i ever owned was a 2013 ninja 636 and no matter what bikes i ride now id swear that thing was the fastest😂
Motorcycle brakes work just fine at those speeds. Bikes arent like cars and usually have double the surface area when it comes to brakes. Thibk about it, cars have 4 small brakes attempting to stop 3,000 to 5,000 lb. Motorcycles have two only needing to stop a few hundred pounds. Tires have vastly more grip.
@@arielr9614 And yet you are only tied to earth by 2 tiny portions of rubber. At that speed, if you brake, your back wheel will break out. And if you brake the front you are just a goner. You cannot brake fast. You need space to slow down. And if you dont have visibility as far as you would need to slow down, you are to fast. Well i hope you have an organ donor card. That really the only useful thing you can contribute to society
And what happens when you hit a road barrier at 140mph in an obviously blocked off construction lane? Or a truck, or human, or any construction bullshit. Then you just traumatized the paramedics that have to scrape you off everything
sweet video. i was gonna get a 600 but went with the 750 instead. the GSXR750 is only 7lbs heavier & comes with 25hp more than the GSXR600. ->160mph is revving near the top end of 5th gear on a GSXR750 with a top speed of 178mph i believe BOTH bikes r fun fun fun
Why do you say that? Maybe he checked before if it was clear, drove back, and then took the empty lane and went 266kmh or 165mph. Point is, you don't know, neither do I, so don't judge.
I love the feeling of my exhaust and ewg in the tunnels inside the car but being outside on a bike in a tunnel blasting thru it must be insanely awesome
Tried 170mph on my 09 FZ1. Granted you can probably subtract a little from the speedo...but once I saw the dotted lines become 1 solid line...I never tried that again. 130 was fast enough.
Well, thats one way to be a potential stain on the tarmac. Nice tunnel, but i wouldnt trust a rando in another veichle whilst in my 'cage' on any sunday.
