never heard about the GT 320, but in Minecraft that performed quite similarly to my old GT 710 a few years back paired with a Core 2 Duo E8400. if I ever end up needing a lower end card then I'll defo consider one of these. I'm sure it can do some lower end shaders in an older version of the game too.

Skyrim and Fallout games have Vsync enabled by default, that's why it'll stutter under 60 FPS. However, you can disable the Vsync in the .ini settings file or force it disabled through NVIDA panel, then it'll be completely playable on this card.

Oh man, this GT320 is actually my first graphic card. It was a Lenovo ideal center desktop. I really missed those old times when I was so obsessed with tunning that 320 with msi magic panel to get a better fps performance in gta4, COH etc.

I used to own this card way back. It was instable as hell and anything intensive would cause it to shutdown and bluescreen my pc. That paired with the limited dx 10 and slow vram made it only usable for the older and lighter games for me. I was glad i could switch over to a gtx 750 ti and i still have the card stored somewhere. I didnt know they were that rare though.

19:05 I play ark survival evolved with a gt730 4gb DDR3 version I get a smooth 60fps on 1366x728 low settings and you're right I got it free on epic games 😂

I've had that same model GT 320 sitting in my closet for years now. I think I took it out of my old Dell Inspiron from like 2012 and it's just been collecting dust. Going to try putting it to use in an old Core2Quad system for XP gaming XD

i have a recommendation for the csgo test, i know that in most and nearly every game you test you look for intensive areas and a map i’ve found to be quite intensive (unknowing of white ether it’s an optimisation issue or not) is ancient be cause my frames drop from around 70-80 to around 15fps ( that’s with an amd radeon vega 8 mobile) where as my friend with a gtx 2080 has had his frames go from 375-425 to about 200-250, it might be different for you but it’s just a recommendation (fyi, my frames only drop when outside)

Minecraft updated their OpenGL version at 1.17 above and it caused massive performance Impact especially on Older cards normally i can run minecraft 1.16 at 100fps but in their new version i only get around 30fps and i have some massive stutters in game seeing this GPU runs it pretty well is awesome

I’m experimenting with an ancient sff pc I got for free: athlon ii x4 with this gt 320 card. I’ve just installed battlefield 3 and wow, it’s really impressive for being an ancient oem card lol. I will also try left 4 dead 2 soon (new games suck anyway haha)

I don't even know ATM how new LCDs can handle a low res like that, especially 800x600. I wonder if a CRT would be much better, despite being bulky and using more watts-per-size. The LCD monitor's scaler might be why it looks like poo to you. 6 years ago, I had a CRT monitor and it was still working very good!

GT cards before pascal used previous generation of that architecture + there have been really small performance improvements + Memory matters. GT 240 GDDR5 variant is about equally fast to GT 440 if i am not wrong

you need to test the Quadro 2000 , you'll be very very surprised by performance (it's cheaper than a gt710 ans quite similar to a hd 6670 in performance)

Not actually buying a laptop but a desktop I am much happier because of the upgradability . If anyone interested in specs it's a rx 570 and ryzen 5 3600 a little worse then the laptop but I will upgrade it.

because back then nvidia had a real GPU lineup that made sense. G x10 cards were for simple browsing and video streaming in cheap computers, GT x20/30/40 were for regular computing and family computers. They could do pretty much anything including gaming, albeit not that well obviously. GTS and GTX cards were the ones meant for gaming. They designed new entry-level cards with every new generation of cards. Nowadays, they dont even bother to actually design low-end cards anymore, they mostly focus on expensive gaming cards, while recycling old GPUs for their low end cards. The GT200 and GT300 cards were all Tesla 2.0 cards, the GT400 and 500 cards were mostly all Fermi. Then they started recycling... Many of the lower end GT700 cards are Fermi cards and older Kepler variants. For the 900 series they didn't even bother to design a single entry-level Maxwell card and just kept selling the old Fermi-based GT710/730 cards. So in 2015 they were still selling brand new entry-level cards based on a 5-year old architecture. Of course the GT730 sucks for gaming. It's based on an 11-year old architecture at this point. But they still sell it new, in 2021... For Pascal cards, they finally released a new entry-level card, the 1030. It's been out for 4 years now, and we still don't have a new entry-level card. Turing didn't get one, Ampere didn't get one, and I doubt the 4000 series will get one either. They just love recycling old shit now. Saves R&D costs, and people who don't know any better still buy them anyway... Nice cash grab.

I mean I used to think the GPU market was bad, how he mentions you can't buy a 38 in the store, but the other day I went into my local micro center and they had plenty of 3070 ti's, 3080 TI's 3080s etc, so the shortage is not really that short, just you have to go to micro center, but their prices for the cards are honestly pretty high too, but then again I'm not sure what the MSRP of all the strix and different models are

So you got lucky? I've been to my MC often enough and at any given time there has been like 1 gpu in supply. And I'm not dropping almost $2k on a 3080ti. Only Nvidia GPU I've seen there in stock. Have seen some AMDs here and there though Also if you acknowledge the prices are high.....then the market is still bad. If gpus are sold my stores for hundreds above their launch MSRP that's still crap
