GT Omega APEX Steering Wheel Stand Review 

I have had this rig for about 6 months now, and it is Great!! Very sturdy, well designed and worth the money. Especially if you don't have a lot of room. And you can fold it up and store it. I use a regular chair behind it for now. But you can add a racing chair from GT Omega which attaches the rig. I intend on getting it. Hope this helps too!!

Wanted a wheel and stand for years now. This could be the stand to finally convince me to take the plunge

Bought the stand. Great Stability. I only have 2 negatives: 1. The shifter platform is oddly placed. Would be much more ergonomic if it were longer. 2. Lack of adjustability of the wheel angle. Wish the angle could be more pronounced for a lower profile.

Thanks for this, getting this stand and A wheel/pedals, shifter,etc.. for my Dad. Only games he really loves are racing games (old GT games or the Forza series), his fingers are not working to well these days for a controller, so this should be great for the new Forza Horizon 5 :)

Do you know if this would be enough to handle the CSL DD with boost kit?

Bought one a month ago and used Jardier code,,, this thing is absolutely bomb proof, it would easily take a DD wheel.

Would you say this is miles better than the "classic" one? I was leaning towards the classic, but that one looked like it had some wobble. This video, it looked like the Apex one hardly had any (which is great). Exactly what I'm looking for.

Heads up, if you have carpet they slide all over the shop - i have carpet and a GT Omega wheelstand!

It's not just the easy solution it's a good solution all around it has less flex then some of the 500 dollar wheel seats and rigs I cant believe how damn stiff this thing is

Decided to order this wheel stand, as well as a G29. Mostly as a secondary rig for playing Gran Turismo. Needed something that took up less space, since I already have a GTOmega Pro cockpit with Fanatec Gear on it, for the PC side of things.

Used your code to grab one myself. Thanks for the review. As one who lives in an apartment with no space for a rig and need the ability to put what I'm using away at times, this seems great for me. Putting it together now. Just need to find a decent, inexpensive chair to go in front of it and I'm set for now.

Lots of wheelstands to buy, but difficult to buy a race-looking seat that gives enough grip on the floor to use a loadcell-brake. The only possible solution i see is DIY, but it's not that i need any of this.

just get some locking caster wheels for the chair and your good.

Hey, I just got this with the chair link so my chair is not rolling but instead now it wants to tilt back when I hit the brakes hard (load cell), I even lifted the front wheels once, anybody faced similar issues?

Yeah James is correct, I have this rig with carpet and was very disappointed with the creeping! I'm going to add spikes to solve it but other than that very stable!

Great video, very informative and thorough! I'm trying to make my own wheels stand, something similar to apex. Could You please measure the thickness of the pedal plate and that plate for adjustment of pedals (plate with wavelike cutouts)?

Help!!! - I've literally just ordered this for use with both my Thrustmaster TMX Wheel/Pedals *and also* with my Saitek/Logitec Yoke along with my Thrustmaster Rudder Pedals - I've looked for screws in the boxes of both my TMX Wheel and Saitek/Logitec Yoke to mount them to the Wheel Plate and also my Pedals to the Pedal Plate and none came with any them, so I assume such screws come with the APEX Steering Wheel Stand, yes? I'm expecting the Wheel Stand to arrive in a couple of days and as I see it I will only be able to mount my TMX Wheel and my Yoke to the Wheel Stand by using the "desk clamps" that came with them and my pedals will just have to "sit" on the Pedal Plate of the Stand unless it comes with some type of mounting screws? 🤥🤥

I am a racing fan and love racing sim games. I got a T300 racing wheel which I love and bought this wheel stand for it. I am missing a piece for actually mounting the wheel. I have tried several times emailing GT Omega but never a response. Once they had my money they could care less about me. I don't have a lot of money and now I have this useless hunk of metal sitting in my room. I finally had to buy another wheel stand. There are other reputable companies out there from whom you can and should buy products. If you don't want to lose your money I recommend avoid this shoddy company.

How about side-to-side wobble? Even though from your video there doesn seem to be much. I have the GT Omega Classic Wheel Stand...The side-to-side wobble is really strong on this one. I can barely make correction when my car is oversteering since this needs heavy and quick movements, but the upper part of stand would move at the same time. Really annoying.
