Glad you took a step to the other side to play some Gran Turismo sport Nick, would love to see this on the channel again. Here's a few things though: Arcade: contains time trials, AI races, all that sort. This is basically just have fun at your leisure. Campaign: not an actual campaign as they opted for a more training and challenges approach. This is also because the actual focus is on... SPORT: the focus of this game, daily races and online championships officially held by the developers and their partners. You have driver rating and sportsmanship ratings and all the sort for what is essentially a competitive mode for Gran Turismo and Lobby: the place where you can make private servers and races to have fun and goof around. I imagine you'd like that a lot for streams :P Other things: Yep, way better with a wheel, highly recommend you play it that way Way more of a sim than Forza is, but not quite as hardcore as the likes of Assetto Corsa and PC2. Does mean cars require quite a bit of finesse especially with assists off. Only 164(?) cars as of now, but possibly over 500 over time as completely free DLC releases Tuning and upgrades do exist in a simplified form, you can find it in vehicle settings. The buttons that say 'level up' Hope to see more videos on this game along with Forza, and hope this helped!

Harpwner so not to challenge you into a stupid comments section argument, but can you tell me how & why u believe GT is more of a SIM than Forza?? Go ahead and give me your reasons ill give u my reasons I believe your wrong. 1. Simulation : to emulate or imitate to the closest possible degree; usually technology to emulate real life with video images via video games etc. 2.Based on that definition, in real life im pretty sure when you race cars professionally or just drive cars for fun, that you have the ability to alter and exchange engine components and cosmetic pieces to improve car performance and aesthetics. Can't in GT not nearly to the level of depth in Forza. Hell u could only change color for like the first 3 GT games I think? 3. In real life driving a car, when you get in an accident or hit another car ie. Rub against a competing racers car, it causes something us ppl who live in a world abiding by the laws of physics call DAMAGE. How many years till Polyphony added any level of cosmetic damage to GT games?? 10? 15?? 4. Another point on that vehicle damage issue, when you hit walls n cars etc, the way your car gets damaged can have devastating effects on the way your car will drive afterwards, so yes damage is very important in SIMULATION, and not GTs lame barely just cosmetic damage it has to be SIMULATION level damage like forza has. 5. 150 cars... say again? A racing SIMULATION game only has barely over 100 cars??? Hmmm. Ya that just plain sucks. In real life when u think ok I wanna test drive this car or that car, guess what it exists! Not if there's only 150 to choose from. Forza 6 had what 500 cars, Forza 7 has close to a thousand I think??? Wake up and smell the piston firing man, those are some pretty big things to leave out of a SIM

I've always been a fan of Gran Turismo for a long time, but I have been playing a lot of forza lately. I'm glad Gran Turismo is starting to step it back up to get back in the game. If GT7 uses the physics of GT sport and the amount of cars and customization of GT6, Forza 7 will be irrelevant. I like Gran Turismo better because it actually shows how many miles on the dashboard at the bottom. I just wish there was a single player career mode in Sport like there was in all the other GT games.

When you pause the game during a race go to camera settings and set it to near and sensitivity to 0

U can change ur tcs , fuel mix and torque distribution while ur in the race, press right or left on the D pad.

I really wish Gran Turismo was also made for PC that way people like me without a PS4 can play the game. The only Gran Turismo I've ever played is Gran Turismo 1 on an old PS1 but that was over 10 years ago now.

GT5-Sport is like if you used Sim steering settings on any Forza game. So your steering inputs really translate relative in game. If youre really twitchy when steering, your car will twitch and vice versa for smoother inputs. Certainly is more challenging with a controller, but I feel thats the added fun! Honestly, after playing Gt Sport, Forza feels more towards a need for speed game. Its good as a game but as a serious sim racer, it fails. Forza online players seem to not care about racing at all and only seem to ram and troll around. As a racing game, I think Forza is really bad. Its fun to collect cars and customize but overrall Gran Turismo destroys it in the racing gameplay aspect. Shame Forza 7 had potential but Turn 10 only seems to care about graphics.... which still look like crap compared to Project Cars 2 and Gran turismo

The directional pad on your control gives you options, two key options are Traction control and if in an all wheel drive vehicle you can control your diff.

Nick, if you go a bit further in the mission challenges (after first 9 i think) you'll get to a point where there will be legit races where you'll have to finish top 3 or something. And yes please do more of this game. It isn't a perfect game but the handling of cars is great

I've always been a GT fanboy since GT 4 but never had the chance to play 5 and 6 so now that I have a PS4 and GT Sport, I can finally have a bit of fun like I used to. Also, seeing that you enjoyed it after playing for like a couple of minutes says a lot about the game and the franchise itself. Next time, play a little bit of "Sport" mode. Trust me. It's pretty good ;)

Tendy, the career is your driving school, missions, circuit experience and if you complete them, you unlock racing etiquette you complete that, you can go online and depending on the country a real life racing license

I think it’s worth it since if there are any dlc’s(which if you pick your car, there is a tag for dlc’s cars)they will be free since polyphony agreed to no micro transactions (paid add-ons)

Subway Gaming Project cars 2 is good but it is WAY too glitchy... I end up getting stuck at the end of a qualifying session 2/6 times which is ridiculous plus the wait times UGH.. Nonetheless I would say it has better physics than GT Sport.. Graphics-wise, it doesn't even come close to GT lol

You do not need a wheel. You are steering with controller sticks. That's not how it is done. Steering is done using the "Six-Axis" feature of the controller. Left turn = tilt the left side of the controller down, and the right side upward. Same motion as turning a wheel. It is progressive. The farther you turn the controller, the sharper the car turns

Don Joewon Song, or Don Forza as I call him, should try the Gran Turismo games, should be a good test of skill adaptability to different physics systems in different kinds of racing games. He could be the Don of all racing games, not just Forza games, which believe you me, is damn impressive already. Not just a jack of all trades, but rather the master of most :) And that AE86 part with the GT86 in the drift trial, I really like how you weren't afraid to make fun of yourself, Nick. That's something all RU-vidrs need to be able to do, and something the vast majority of people today severely lack, especially us Canadians, eh?.

Nick use motion control steering instead of the analogue stick on the controller, it is awesome and you won't suffer from the snap oversteer anymore. And it works WAY better than you would expect. :)

Yeah, the producers have reinvented the wheel, or more accurately, the game, so the basics will take a little reorienting. But otherwise, when you get past the new terminology, it's a sensible step up from GT6.

Best part the game has no speed barrier and theres a car that goes over 400mph with insane cornering speed (srt tomahawk x) highly recommended car to buy when you get a million credits

So, It not only blows the water out of forza, personally it sets the bar for racing games 2017 on. If I wasn't a pc user (and dont own the console but my younger brother has his own.) I'd be playing it now. FFB is eons ahead of forzas, there's a better photo mode mechanic, the Ai is SMART ACTUALLY FUCKING SMART, I mean forza absolutely dropped the ball on forza just like intel dropped the ball on Kaby lake...

GT6 was the same. Had 'loads of cars' and 50% of them were just different versions of the same car. If I remember rightly GT6 had 19 NA Mx5's. what is that for

GT Sport is all PVP with little in the way of offline stuff. If you want the true GT experience, try one of the earlier non-prologue games. Controller or wheel, they're all great games

Nick played too many Forza. You can see the video section in his channel, a bunch (6-13) Forzas are separated by 1 single F1 video! I know Forza is great to most of you guys, and I enjoy those videos also, but I think the channel has to have some variety

At 9:06 is when Nick realized that Gran Turismo is better than Forza, I personally have a bias towards GT because i've been playing it for 7-8 years. GT 5 was lit because you could drift on the go-kart track and GT 6 still has a large community after 4 years. My only complaint about them, money is just to easy to get like in the live events you can get 1,000,000+ credits from each one and they tend to be easy not sure if thats/ that it will be the same for GT Sport

I loved gt5 when you could use the jay leno tank car on the top gear test track and all the other crazy cars you could buy

You should do some more of this and I think that this game has racing campaign only online, which is kinda stupid if you ask me.. Anyway, keep up the good work

GT Sport feels like an Early Access game. Maybe I'll buy it in a couple years once it's complete.

flan alflany GT is the only FIA approved game and the only racing game you can actually earn a FIA racing license with so its a game for real racers and for those who want to be racers.
