The irony is he might of been more rusty if not for the track featuring in FM7 lol! I'm a bigger fan of Forza than GT these days, but PD getting RU-vidrs like SuperGT & Jimmy Broadbent involved with their game is a very smart move!
@@woopwoop3924 I've played both series since almost the beginning and think they're 'very very' similar, at least on a controller. Both have their strengths and weakness imo.

When I just finished my Laguna Seca run about a month ago, I was excited to fire up my GT Sport only to be disappointed that they didn't have that track nor my car in it (lotus elise S2) So I fired up Forza 7, and there was something off about it. Maybe it's the dimensions, but it sure still captured the essence of it. This video reminds me almost exactly, especially the corkscrew, when I normally aim for the 2nd or 3rd tree at turn 8b. Good job PD, now to download it and play it!
In my experience with iracing there are plenty of opportunities. Turn 2, as well as the last 2 corners are safe enough for it. Plus you can always count on other drivers making mistakes on the hill
Something to note: the green stuff isn't astroturf, it's painted asphalt, and you absolutely MUST use it coming out of turn 6 (at least in lower-horsepower cars). It's worth about half of a second.
That's just how pro he is. He knows you're going to do them anyway, so he gives you a preview of exactly what will happen when you do things wrong. Following his guide and you're guaranteed siggggkkkhth place every race.
My favorite track. Last White lines breaking point at top of hill if under 130 mph breaking hard is flawless. Braking to many times up the hill will throw you off.

Calling turn 2 a 'double apex hairpin' is like the calling the Monaco Grand Prix, 'just another race'. It is known as the 'Andretti hairpin' and most turns w/a double-apex are referred to as 'Andretti hairpins' because of this. And the key to fast lap times, at L.S., is to brake early.
Where you are breaking differs greatly by what car you are driving I would say, so you can’t be relaying completely on using the same break markers, but yeah it’s a rough guide. Thanks. 👍🏻 I love this track btw! 😊
it's very similar for all Gr. 3 and gr. 4 cars. there's a lot of difference when it comes to street cars (because of weight and power differences) though
Nice vid dude 😉 I learned my lesson about not using shadows as a brake references at T4 I think it was at Monza. (The heavy braking zone after the T1 chicane). I started using the shadows of bridge overhead and soon found myself in the runoff area pretty quick lol. I dont drive GTS though so I cant comment about using shadows here. Definitely a bad idea in real life though 😂

I think polyphony doesn't really like circuits like us. Its likes to build science-fiction cars to appear in the next Blade Runner movie. Polyphony prefers to spend all its resources on F1 driver sponsorship, while we want more real circuits and original circuits and
@@prostreetbeetdhd4586 licensing issues. They already have the track but they still need the greenlight before taking it out for public release. For Laguna Seca's case, it's been around since GT2. I'm pretty sure it'll be out fast.
@@Pluvillion i knew about spa and the licensing. GT has tracks that are fantasy that could have been in the game already. The track location shortage was one of my biggest disappointments from release. Game was so monotonous at points due to that and still needs to step it up
Paul Korsun Yes what annoys me is they’ll add Laguna Seca in, have it featured as a daily race for one week and then you’re left to the good will of Polyphony to add it back in rotation again after a few weeks, months?
Is the idea that we are all gonna watch this again in 3 months when we get the track or remember the guide for the next 3 months. Lol this makes no sense. I’ll remember to use these tips when I’m playing this track on Forza for the next few months
Not driving David Perel’s Ferrari, didn’t get a 6-second lap time, and not Heel Tread cam. Definitely should reshoot. (I’m joking, it’s a great video. Great work, GT and Super GT!)
