Until the road straightens up and it turns into a black speck on the mirror. This guy knows how to drive hard even with a broken lsd. Could listen to that garret turbo spool up all day:)))

Cheers. Well, cameraas are forbidden on the ring so we need to sneak them on. Mounting it on the roof would get me pulled off the track, but I will have a look at a better mountingplace from the inside next time. The black car was a Megane R26 with mods unknown.

@@madformodz7252 basically everything cast has been replaced by billet/forged parts except the block itself. I also have a girdle plate and tallboy main caps.
Cheers mate. You're quite right. it's not a lot of space for the turbo in these cars but with this manifold from Pag Parts Turbo it's possible. Stainless steel and double welded. Nathan Richards happy you like it mate. This summer I have a few other projects running also the current gearbox synch is toast so decided to finally get a dogbox and seq shifter.
7k rpm and low EGT. Then you should look at another turbo. BW makes some with a good turbineflow. Also PT, just get a PT with ballbearings. I have a 35R turbine with a billet 59mm compressor now and I'm very happy. Also keep in mind the AR of the turbine play a big part in EGT's.

@@ΝικόλαοςΠαπαδόπουλος-υ5β Yes, oem spec is 5w-30 and 0w-40 has vw502 approval. I've used same oil on street and track. Mobile 1 0w-40 is perfect for this engine. I also add a little bit of sinc.

So it's no Cupra R, but Cupra4 right? Nice. I have a Cupra R (FWD, BAM engine) and I'd like to achieve at least 350hp with 2.0 TFSI turbo and forged con rods :)
In this video I use a Mk1 Cupra R which had the BAM225 engine originally. Later I bought a Top Sport 4 and mixed the two cars to make an ultimate Leon. Meaning I kept the body of Cupra R and drivetrain from the Top Sport. It was A LOT of work!
Wow. I believe it was a lot of work. Doing that means you had to change half of the car. Big respect. It's a shame that Seat didn't make a Cupra R BAM with 4x4 :/
Niel Coetzee RS Cup are nice cars. I had a broken LSD and a worn synchro so I had 1wd out of the corners. All the power in the world don't mean anything if you cannot use it.
Yeah, I got tired of not having grip out of the corners so I built an AWD version this winter. It's ready now and I'll wait for trackdays. Torsen diffs up front and back with a Haldex controller.
Yeah, it's a nightmare. I just bought a 2nd car called Leon Top Sport already with Haldex system. So I moved over everything from the Cupra R to the Top Sport. Just kept the frame and Haldex system from the Top Sport.
Yeah, conversion took a lot of hrs. Interior was almost we worst bcs my Cupra R was wideband and Top Sport narrowband. ALl the sugarcubes and contacts had different design... sup with that?
Worn cambelt is a biggie when they get close to 100k miles/ 160k km. Rusty floor and rear quarter panels. Then the usual stuff.. If you can get a vagcom with you and run a scan that would be great. £250 investment could save your ass.
