On paper my car rated at 725hp , 440 magn block , 456 Dana posi rear end .. the torque would twist my car frame coming off the line so I only open it up when tires were turning only.. I gotta go listen again.....
From the sound of it, I guess it's either a restored 60's original, or the 2000's version. From the performance of it, I guess it's the 2000's version. Either way, greatest engine sound I've ever heard. Bless you.❤
As a DeTomaso Pantera owner with a modified engine and exhaust, I understand all too well the hypnotic spell of the Ford V8. Mine is a bit louder but very similar sounding. It's what keeps me driving it every weekend.
I need one of these in my life... I just have to have one. Mine will be dark purple and gold, or just plain pearl white, with purple plaid seats and carpets. It will be built to use, because I'm mad and will actually use it all the time. Well, maybe not ALL the time, but it'll get used as much as I use my motorcycle, which is a lot. You can't say it's more impractical than a large capacity motorcycle is in the Victorian climate.

Ok, I was once partial to the whine and abusive scream of an Italian v-12, but this just changed my mind. This sounds like it smells like charred American gunpowder and freedom.
Considering our driving style around here, I'll be itching to overtake the cars ahead if I was driving that GT40, since the opposite lane is completely empty for a mile's distance! We overtake when there's an empty stretch of about 50 meters in front LOL. It may be bad driving but that is the way of life here.
As the closest I will ever get to one of these is forza motorsports, let me just say I tuned the 66 MK2 GT 40 to force it to race against modern supercars, did 7 laps at LeMan starting from 11th against "unbeatable" AI and won, beating out koenigsegg, Laborghini, Zenvo ST1, and more. The sound is the same in the game and the car just out corners everything...its as close as I will get, so I'll have to be satisfied...but oh if only....
I certainly like the sound more, but something like the 787 B or a new hybrid prototype tends to scare me more when it comes up in me outta nowhere ringing the siren of Armageddon and flies past me
As the Apex predator hunts its pray (Laferrari) it's screams 😱 can be heard for miles ,sending and keeping the red ponys in their climate controled stables shaking in fear praying that they are not found,hoping the beast will slumber so they can say they survived another taunting day ,the day the GT40 was hunting her pray.
I grew up with fast Fords. These cars are so iconic!! It’s probably just me or it’s the recording but that motor isn’t singing like it should. Maybe the plugs are junk. It is making alot if noise though. And it looks like it’s a challenge making her sing while coming up on a vehicle every 1/8 th mile. Sorry I won’t be saving this video …. 😕
I remember spotting one of these bad boys one time in my town in through the freeway a while back. I was driving my Honda Civic and I couldn’t keep up to it until I had to catch up to it at a whopping 75 miles an hour ( when I’m driving an Automatic tranny) , when don’t underestimate the power of the Gt40.

If it makes any difference, I was watching this video today and I happened to notice the Roaring Forties logo on the video as well, and I recall that they make their own GT40 replica. In light of this, and the fact that Jason ran this car during an Australian car run, it may be that Jason did business with both companies for this project.
Shawn Davis that’s the reason why it’s not called a gt40, it was made to kick ass without sacrificing anything else, it was not made to look or sound good

Soon after Fords stupid contract with buyers end, people will sell of these shits for anything that it fetches, because they are neither fast as even some Corvettes nor sound good nor well put together inside like in some McLarens or even the C8 Corvette
Ponygt 662 watch the grand tour review of the ford gt, then you will understand what I mean. It was never a tribute car, it was never supposed to have a v8, it was made to be insanely fast while showing everyone that you don’t need a v8, hell it tops out 200-220 in vmax mode

well its not bad but .. the best (opening scene ) with pure car sound and driving.. that can't be beat to this day is ... 1980s CanonBall run movie with the p400 Lamborghini. 😅
