Grand Theft Auto III is the first Grand Theft Auto game i ever played and i got this game as a Christmas gift from my sister on Christmas Eve over at my meternal grandfather's place in 2004 and it's the best Christmas gift i got in 2004 and i also got Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on Christmas Eve in 2005 and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas on Christmas Eve in 2006 and i decided to make Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas my Christmas gifts for my sister to give to me in 2005 and 2006 since I got Grand Theft Auto III from her on Christmas Eve in 2004.

Wow thanks for making me feel old, I was fourteen when this game dropped. Lol! Still it warms my heart to see the next generation picking up these classics and enjoying them for what they were. This and Vice City, were truly the start of the golden age of Rockstar Games, and true genre defining masterpieces!

The 3d universe was more "silly" I guess you could say, but also had dark humor to the games as well, that gave them a certain charm that in my opinion, the HD universe doesn't have! When 4 dropped, while it still somewhat retained the dark humor of its predecessors, the overall tone of the story was more serious than the previous games were, but it worked for the game! In my opinion this was not the case with 5! Rockstar attempted to take the tone of the game back to its predecessors more sillier roots, and it just felt weird! Plus this made tying the story to 4 all the more strange due to the tone of both games being radically different from one another! That's my opinion anyway.

I was 15 in 2001 I had the original PlayStation grand theft auto wasn't that big because it was 2d and driver 2 was the one I played then the PS2 ads were so cool on tv and then this game came out which I got it it's too hard to explain how back then how revolutionary this game really was and then vice city and San Andreas were even better

Idk why people are hating on the Definitive Edition, maybe they think it's cool and ride along with it. Listen, to all those who hate the Definitive Edition, you guys don't understand that they are trying there best to remaster old games not remake, and yes it might come with bugs, but other than that it's completely fine, I like it more than the old one, don't go replying on me saying "Oh an 8 y.o didn't even play the old one" because I did play it, I just don't understand why you guys think the old one is better, if you are talking about the moody vibe of the original, they are working on it, you can see the moody atmosphere gradually returning. Dang, I remember watching this trailer every time it came on. I loved the song that would play, and when ever it came on the radio I would do the stunt at the end. Such an awesome game! I remember doing the Cheetah race glitch where you run the car in to your garage before the race ends then it becomes indestructible. Then I would turn the rampage cheat on with limbs, and let the Liberty City Massacre begin. One time a cabbie stopped, and I looked in my rearview, and he pulled out a bazooka. I was like oh hell no, lol; this was at the height of the 9/11 Osama Bin Laden events. I ran that little bitch over, and just continued to watch body parts roll down the street lol.
