What about the d3d8.dll from the SkyGFX mod? Do I overwrite the d3d8.dll from the Widescreen Fix?

@@diablonerd9612 I recommend to keep the one that comes with Widescreen Fix. No need to overwrite the d3d8.dll There are occasions when I copy a d3d8.dll file from another mod and it disables my Widescreen Fix, so I choose to keep the current one.

GTA 3 was much more bone chilling on PS2 than PC.

I guess the fog in PS2 is more prevalent than in PC, making the game more bone-chilling.

ı have been waiting for a video like this. thank you so much. ı never understood how the skygfx worked. now ı do. So the default sky gfx settings gives you the ps2 graphics right ? and 1 more question. if the sky gfx includes a widescreen fix then why did you install another one in the first place. Also can you make a video like this for vice city, ı would really appreciate that. Keep up the good videos!

Thank you for the kind words, Woregar. The default SkyGFX settings does give the PS2 graphics, you are correct. The SkyGFX and Widescreen Fix both come with the d3d8.dll file. However, I choose to keep the d3d8.dll file that comes with Widescreen Fix, for compatibility reasons. I recommend that you do the same. They are technically the same file and does the same thing, unless I am proven wrong. For Vice City, it is pretty much the same installation procedure, but I will see if i can put up a video.

@@Nassyy can ı ınstall the silent patch with these mods ? cuz the last time ı tried installing sky gfx widescreen and silent patch at the same time it did not work. and do ı need to install asi loader and cleo ?

@@woregarjackson4930 Go ahead. SilentPatch should work. However, I recommend that you put the .asi and .ini files in scripts folder. The scripts folder usually comes with the Widescreen Fix, same as d3d8.dll SkyGFX also has d3d8.dll, but its the same thing as the one in Widescreen Fix. No need to copy it to the game folder. The ASI loader is technically already installed through the d3d8.dll file, which you can get from Widescreen Fix.

i tried to do car pipe 1 and world pipe 1 but all cars where invisible for some reason do you know a fix? only see shadows of cars 2 and 0 works tho I Fixed it By Putting in the d3d8.ddl file on my games folder that allowed the game to load the car reflections

I'm sorry, but I do not know how to resolve this issue. Do you happen to have any other mods installed alongside SkyGFX? I assume car pipe 1 = Leeds? It most probably requires installing lc98 into the game folder.

One question. After installing this mod, the graphics change from PC graphics, to PS2? Or i need to activate that option with trials OFF?

You have to make the changes you want, inside the file named skygfx.ini. This is where you can change things, choose between PS2, PC, Xbox and so on.

How did the PC load screen show the splash screen animation?? In the mobile version, it just a splash screen

That is bcos of SkyGFX. It brings PS2 loadscreens to PC

@@aleppthehistorylover Tbh the loadscreens are already in the GTA 3 txd folder on PC, since the game was originally a port of the PS2 version. So, the modders just made them function again, only God knows how.

Turn off Trails in the game settings. Alternatively, you can change the settings to your choice in skygfx.ini

I have problem with my sky gfx in GTA Vice city. After I install sky gfx, I noticed very low traffic density. Changing value to a higher value in MixSets.ini is not working. Somebody knows how fix it? Sorry for my very bad english

I can understand your English perfectly, so it is pretty good. Low traffic density? I don't notice that. I suggest you leave all settings in SkyGFX to default.

@@Nassyy Finally, skygfx isn't a problem. I deleted skygfx from scripts folder but still traffic density is low.

Finally, I fixed it. The problem was VC MixSets mod. I guess, this mod decreasing traffic density, and car spawn distance (cars are spawning near me. After I delete this mod, my GTA works fine.

I need your help. I'm having a problem installing skygfx on VC. When I install it I get this error: "SkyGfx cannot be loaded by the default Mss32 ASI loader. Use another ASI loader." And I already have an Ultimate asi loader installed. If I remove the Mss32.dll, and start the game, I get an another error stating that the Mss32.dll is missing. Please help !!!

Do not delete mss32.dll. What you need is to copy d3d8.dll into the game folder.

@@TheHarwoodButcher. I think I will make another SkyGFX installation video for Vice City. d3d8.dll is in game folder. That is correct. Also, use skygfx.asi and ignore the skygfx.dll from the zip. Remove skygfx.dll if you have mistakenly added it to your game folder. I suggest going to min 4:00 where I explain the installation process.

@@Nassyy I did exactly what you showed in the video, but yet I'm getting this error strangely. What's even stranger is that when I copied the d3d8.dll into the game folder, the intro (from the 'movies' folder) shows black screen while the audio is playing in the background.

HEY, I AM GETTING A CONSTANT LAGGING WHILE USING THIS MOD, THAT I CAN'T CORRECT WITH THE SHARPTRAILS MOD. I INSTALLED SILENT PATCH AS WELL AND IT DIDN'T WORK. IT'S A BUG, NOT MY LAPTOP BEING WEAK, BECAUSE I KNOW IT. WHEN I TURN THE CAMERA DOWNWARDS, THE BUG DISAPEARS AND THE GAME GETS IN THE NORMAL SPEED AGAIN, BUT THE EFFECTS ARE STILL ON THE SCREEN. AND THIS ONE BUG IS *NOT* IN THE re3 REVERSE ENGINEERED GTA III. DO YOU KNOW THIS BUG? YOU KNOW HOW TO CORRECT IT? OR ONCE AGAIN I AM THE *ONLY ONE* GETTING SCREWED? ANOTHER NOTE: THE BUG *IS* ABOUT THE SkyGFX, BECAUSE WHEN I UNNINSTALLED IT, THE BUG DISAPPEARED, BUT SOME MODELS LOST TEXTURES BECAUSE I'M USING IT WITH THE XBOX MOD AND SKIN AND BONES.

@@jackson7468 I recommend installing Widescreen Fix. From there, you can edit the .ini file and change the resolution X and Y. Eg. 1920x1080 X = 1920 Y = 1080

@@Nassyy here I am back, I spent a few hours looking for solutions and applying fixes, but nothing worked. My game has some mods that give tweaks to the graphic section of the game and none of them cause crashes like the ones that happened to me, so the first thing I did was remove the wide screen arrangement, I entered the game and tested if I could change the resolution , to my surprise it was possible, so I did what you told me and set the game to 1260 × 720 × 32, I also discovered the possible reason for many failures, it is the Mod called "leftover fix", by eliminating all failure caused by the will be erased

That has little to nothing to do with SkyGFX. You will need to install SilentPatch to fix the lag. GTA 3 will run at a steady 30fps once SilentPatch is released.

@@watchmangamer4380 In that case, check skygfx.ini again. Turn off the Xbox related settings. Also, make sure envMapSize is default value, 128 or 256 will be fine.

@@Nassyy It didn't work as well. And another note is that when I move the camera downwards, the game will accelerate back to it's normal speed. Don't know why. But i'm 99% sure it isn't because of processing graphics, but a bug.
