This series shows alot of insight into how open world games come to life so much. All the myths and rumours are usually born out of some kind of strange circumstance, or cut content, or inexplicable audio files that make certain places feel extra eerie and fleshed out. Even if the myths are myths, there's always alot of good information unintentionally given here about the way the in game world looks, feels and sounds to make it feel so immersive. Only a handful of devs achieve such success.

3:42 to me those sounded like someone walking on metal steps, most likely an ambient noise because there is a lot of metal stairs in that area so it looks more alive. 9:29 probably those were footsteps from a hobo that decided to run or Niko owns footsteps. 11:14 That does sound like water, maybe its suppose to be like a lot of water dripping from an open pipe that overflow because of the rain, or just someone peeing. Most likely the weird atmosphere made everyone that enter in there feeling like there was someone in there and their imagination entered in high gear and they thought they saw something, if is something that can easily happen because of the sounds in that area

Dark dont know if u will see this, but you need to revisit this myth! I recently was playing through gta 4 and i came across a mission called "Pegorino's Pride" where u need to drive to this Acter Industrial Park and u need to get inside the building and reach a vantage point on top. After shooting the mob members and completing the first objective i was walking down the staircase and saw a white vigure quickly dash in the corner down the stairs and it disappeared immediately so i only saw its back/arm sticking out. Reinvestigate please, love ur work.

@@DarkMythHunter there's a factory in gta 4 that is pretty creepy and I think you should check it out if you haven't already it's called "industrial" it's south of the bohan strip club it's on the south tip of the island I went there and I heard footsteps which were not mine and there's a hook in the factory with blood below it the hook is also swinging

It's used in a mission during the story but I remember the only thing you do is go through that as a shortcut way or something, to escape from someone, but that s it. I guess..

I think it was mission called Pegorinos pride. There was meeting with other mafia and they ambushed Pegorino. You needed to kill few of them with sniper rifle and rescue Pegorino.
