All in-game footage from PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 has been captured with the same device (Elgato Game Capture HD60) with default settings, while for PS3 version we used Blackmagic Intensity Pro due to HDCP encryption. The resolution of Xbox 360 and PS3 versions has been upscaled to 1080p to match the PS4 and Xbox One versions. We also used default game settings and console settings on all platforms.
In our opinion, the graphics are practically the same for both the Xbox One and the PS4. The only difference is that Xbox One has a darker contrast - which is something you can also set on PS4 by enabling the Full RBG Range in the Video Output settings. We tried to do that and we can assure you that the game looks identical on both versions.
We have only noticed that on PS4 there's more foliage and plants in the sea and on land compared to the Xbox One version, while Xbox One has slightly shorter loading times.

Lets be honest: 360 has a huge framerate drop but not frequent (max 30 min 14) with decent graphics. 720p PS3 has frequent but not huge fps drop ( max 30 min about 20). Graphics are decent but blurry. 720p PS4 and XBO: Nice graphics, even less frame rate drop (Av 28) but ps4 version has more physical properties (LED and controller speaker) while unfortunately xbo does not have any physical probably as far as I know. Both run at 1080p PC: (as far as everyone knows) 60+ fps and 4K support and video editor.

Xbox One = More vivid and brighter than the PS4; PlayStation 4 = More vegetation, however, with color graphics lifeless than the One; Xbox 360 = Brighter colors and better textures than the PS3; PlayStation 3 = Effect "blurred" and lifeless colors compared to 360.

Its because GDDR3 has less latency issues than GDDR5, the xbox one used a 1.75mhz cpu x 8, wheres the ps4's is 1.65mhz x 8.. xbox is better when it comes to cpu tasks. Which makes the lighting better. All in all it actually makes the XB1 look better.

I changed the settings on ps4 to make it look like Xbox one. I kind of liked it but there was a dirt road and it was completely white with no textures. Also interior of vehicles were pitch black with no texture to see. Ps4's contrast is balanced and is better

When you look at the Xbox 360 and PS3 next to their successors, yes ok they look a little dated but honestly when you actually play the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions without comparing to anything you sort of forget and just appreciate it for what it is, I mean wow, for console made from 2005 - 2006, this is super impressive! It's really not super far off, it is certainly an achievement for the developers

Play Station has always fucked up on thing on their graphics, they brightin the fuck out of everything and I don't know why the fuck they do that. Seriously its so obvious to see that Ps3 and ps4 was always BRIGHTER and its not debatable. That's reason why I say Xbox still looks better and always has, where ps4 MIGHT have a amazing looking game like fucking final fantasy, comparing any normal game Play Station has always looked brightend and duller because they brighten it way to fucking much. Maybe if the brightness didn't dull the fuck out of the colors it would be better but that's not the case.

That must have been a very good feeling, playing gta 5 when it's still fresh and new without spoilers. I played gta 5 in 2017 after getting spoilers, and red dead 2 too in 2019. I really hope I manage to get a ps5 by the time gta 6 gets released, that will be my first gta game played without spoilers hopefully lol

Xbox One has (like xbox always has) higher contrast and better colors. (my opinion) It has less vegetation, but it seems(!!) it has the highest shadow draw distance of the four. (3:40 - puu.sh/dgP6x/d881eeb63e.jpg) Textures of the "nextgen" seem to be twice the resolution, michaels face in the beginning and the city at 3:40 look way better on "nextgen". Even though ground textures out in the wild seem to have a similar resolution as on old gen, with the grass on top, you just don't see that. Anti-Aliasing improved alot from old to "next gen", on both consoles, even though ps4 seems to do a better job at it. Xbox One also looks like it has stronger post processing (look at the sky at the 3:40 city scene). That, together with the higher contrast, could be to hide non-existent details. Overall, reflections, particles and effects seem to have improved. Draw distance has improved alot from what I see. All in all, yes, updated graphics. If it worth buying again for 60$, you must decide... I say, wait for PC, you don't wanna own the game 3 times :D

that contrast and colours could simply be that this guy put the colours worse on ps4 because he didnt adjust it right or because he was paid by microsoft to make the contrast better (editing it) on xbox one...

TheGalleTasHD I don't think so, also most recording devices for Consoles record the direct output of the console, not the output on the TV. And AFAIK, console don't let you adjust contrast etc., you do that on the tv

Best solution is to get this for PC. 4k, Mods, better graphics, mouse and keyboard for first person perspective etc. And oh, 60fps+ instead of sub 30. I bet optimization won't be an issue seeing as how well Rockstar optimized Max Payne 3.

Xbox One is simply more vibrant. the reason for this is that the PS4 is running more effects that seem to blur the environment but they actually give the game a more realistic look.

The way I see it, Xbox One has more color and seems tto be brighter than PS4, but PS4 has more vegetation the Xbox One. X360 and PS3 seem to have a LOT of low res textures, much more than I noticed.

I own the game for PS4 and my boy owns it for XB1. I gotta say that colors look good on XB1, but the feel overall is just so relaxed and great on the PS4. Just feels too real on the PS4. Not too different on the XB1, but it's just that the Xbox One messes up on a few textures. Just a few. Barely noticeable.

FireLion RBLX you are absolutely correct. PC's are more expensive but they can run 4k 60fps where consoles run about 1080p 30fps. Most computers aren't shit, they each have their own purpose some are gaming, some for school, and some for business.

Yeah but Xbox one kinda gets better frame rates due to its native resolution. GTA V has a native resolution of 720p. Xbox one native resolution is 720p. So it is I guess more optimized for Xbox one? (BTW this is coming from a ps user)

Why are they having a console war? When the PC releases it's gonna kick both their asses. I'm not a PC fanboy either I play PC and Xbox cause of friends but it's just fact PC gonna win the whole *war* lol

Okay let's be honest, the PC version will look only marginally better at max settings. The only advantage to the BASE GAME is that it will have a video editor, which is admittedly really cool... but that's it, there will probably be no new features, i heard something about a few more songs, but yeah that's it. Even after all this, you'll still need a VERY powerful (aka, expensive) computer to play this game at the graphics quality of the PS4 version at 60fps.

I try Xbox 360.... It scratch my disc.. I been wasting money by useless Xbox system. I never gonna buy Xbox again. Ps4 never break my disc or anything in my life ^_^ it very strong system than Xbox. Between ps3 and Xbox 360 controller. Xbox 360 controller waste my $ by battery. It stupid. In PS3 controller it don't need Battey. It you had to do is charge it with charger. And it still work in 2010. I love PS3 And it better than Xbox. There I admit. Thank god almighty I free at last

In PS3 it don't need battery pack. So I don't have to buy that on my PS3 and my English is just fine.
