Whenever I'm in a race and if I'm behind I try to start driving harder but most of the time it ends up making things worse, because you're trying to drive beyond your ability. Don't stress, focus on what you're doing and you'll catch up. As soon as you start trying to go hard af you'll mess up (that said, I'm pretty average at racing soooo...... 😂😂😂😂😂😂)
