If this means we get some quality-of-life updates for older content left on the wayside such as Biker Businesses, the Vehicle Warehouse, and Arena War, then I'm all for it. Not every new update needs to include a 5 million dollar property and 20 supercars. I mean hell, we're running out of places to put new properties as it is!

I saw someone say something like "I'm a ps4 player but I dont mind, Im going to be upgrading anyway, the PS5 has been out for three years now. I just won't have the editor for a few months". That type of complacency is annoying. Would you be okay with a car company removing your stereo because your car is ten years old and the new model has been out for three years? That guy would be like, "Welp, guess I just won't have my stereo for a while until a buy a new one". Ridiculous. Just like removing the cars was to "streamline the websites". No, you just want people to buy a new console and E&E. I'm surprised they didn't remove it from PC. But by doing that, they've low key admitted that PC can handle E&E, but yet won't bring that over.

Finalmente um comentário decente. Eu moro no Brasil, o salário mínimo é R$1.500 e o PS5 custa 5.000. Então, os brasileiros teriam que parar de comprar comida, pagar contas de luz, aluguel, outras coisas para poder comprar o console PS5? Nem todos vivem em um país de primeiro mundo, aqui no Brasil, tem muitas pessoas ainda comprando PS4 só agora. ISSO É UM TOTAL DESCASO que a Rockstar fez.

That's a pretty decent tradeoff, I don't think many of us old-genners use the editor much. I'm sure some do, but most of us barely have time for missions let alone the editor. I think old gen is mostly us dad types that still like to play in our spare time

The game is unplayable on old consoles. I have seen footage of how poorly it performs. Rockstar did this on purpose to get people to buy a PS5/Xbox Series console

I'm quite surprised that they're even going to keep support going this year at all, I assumed that they would announce the end of old gen support after the chop shop update, but here we are.

@@AL3X1KUS It's unplayable on the fat and slim PS4 yes but it's fine on the PS4 Pro since that's a more powerful console with boost mode. I can't speak for Xbox though i don't have one and never will it's just not my kind of console i'm a PS player and always have been.

You do realize they're full of bs, right? They mentioned previously that we can store stolen Chop Shop cars yet we can't do that. Even Yusuf mentions in cutscene yet we can't do that. Remember promised story dlc in January 2014? There's more of bs they wrote in past, this is one of them.

While the Chop Shop DLC was decent , DLCs after Criminal Enterprises were straight away mediocre , and likely 2024 DLCs will be as mid as Mercenaries so... nah

@@SeriousDragonify i meant "The Criminal Enterprises" from 2022 , sorry , The Criminal Enterprises and Drug Wars were ok but that's when GTA Online began downfall , the game's simply been lackluster in content the last year , pure GTA+ and bad content with a lot of Drip Feed that'd last for many months ,Chop Shop was ok , but besiedes it meh... , the GTA VI statement is obvious i think , it'll be more grindy than RDO , but hopefully the GTA VI Online economy ain't f-d up, but we know R*, it prob will

I honestly forgot Rockstar Editor was a thing (tho i did use it on the PS4 to try to recreate the garage tutorial mission from Driver 1). But still, its always a shame when studios remove features from their games.

Though I never used it and moved onto Series X, it sucks R* being R* and removing a feature; even though idk how the editor is affecting DLC updates if current gen isn’t affected by it. I’m wondering if R* is doing it to force people relying on the editor to upgrade to next gen; also makes one wonder how big the updates will be, like Beach Bum sized lol

I never really understood the system and I never needed to use the Rockstar editor because I would just capture everything with the built-in capture card and then edit it in share factory. So to conclude I rather give that feature up than vehicles or other stuff that's in the game to get more future content or support, even for a pretty old console.

At first I thought they were doing this as another way scummy to encourage people to get GTA expanded and enhanced. But if this is truly the only way for them to continue to support old gen then I guess it is what it is even though it doesn't really make too much sense to me I don't understand why they would have to change something that never was a problem before unless we're going to be getting some of the biggest updates we ever had before this year. I just wish there were some sort of way to save your project and move them to next gen

UPDATE: I've been informed by my friend whom owns a PS5 that the Rockstar Editor is also gone from the next gen version. This is completely ridiculous from Rockstar, as someone from the Rockstar Editor Community. It makes me lose hope that we'll even get the Rockstar Editor in GTA6, this is a lot of peoples creative outlets and Rockstar removing that from those people shows how things won't be any different with GTA 6 and Rockstar won't care to cater towards their fans and players alike. It's only about money at the end of the day and the Rockstar Editor isn't a money maker so it had to go.

First of all, rockstar will still updating gta online since for the very first days there won't be an online mode . I guess I’m glad I moved to PS5. Without the editor I’m pretty sure I would just stop playing the game. After 10 years it’s a core part of what I like about the game and it’s something no one else does.

@@jessehassell1864 I didn’t start using it right away for the same reason. I didn’t get how it worked. Then I saw a tutorial video, started using it for photos, then making videos to share with the share with the friends I play with. It helps keep the game interesting after thousands of hours.

I kinda hope that they would expand the range for the camera placement for Rockstar editor, which would make it less constricting

I don't use the Rockstar Editor that much. The last time I used Rockstar editor and made a two minute cinematic movie was last month. It is unfortunate that it'll be removed from the previous gen consoles.

it hurts to see xbox one and ps4 be called "last gen" people are calling the ps3 and xbox 360 "retro" i thought retro consoles were the NES and ps2 etc etc ...is this how the previous generation felt seeing their beloved consoles be called old?

This is honestly really good news like I thought old gen would be shut down forever but rockstar just taking rockstar editor out so they can make more room for newer dlcs for all consoles is so worth it im on Xbox one and just clip my stuff on Xbox lol so It doesn’t matter anyways for me

This is an attempt by rockstar to remove DMO by removing save editor, because RU-vidrs gave away millions of dollars of unreleased vehicles From the beginning of the DMO glitch, RU-vidrs and glitches have known not to give away unreleased vehicles because of this situation

I still play on my year one Xbox One and dont really experience these issues, but i don't play as much as i used to either like back in the Xbox 360 days so the upgrade just hasnt been worth it to me yet.

I have a feeling that R* will in fact release E&E for PC BUT it will be a separate game with higher system requirements. Basically, the current E&E but on PC.

Something I don't see any content creators talking about is how Rockstar will no longer be supporting versions of Windows older than 10 starting at the end of this month. Could be a sign that GTAO will be updated E&E as those older OS versions would have likely had compatibility issues.

i wanna see them release, the mona lisa s15, hans rx7, ryosukes FC, seans rwd drift lancer, the nissan 180sx and they dam better the liveries inspired by those movies/show cause gta 5 has lots of fast and furious cars, but why not tokyo drift? we have the 370z with dk and morimotos livery, what about the other cars?

At this point, the only updates I'd like to see to GTA Online include: - Cops and Crooks - an overhaul to Biker Businesses to make them more friendly to newcomers and solo players alike - an overhaul/update to Arena War that allows players to earn Arena Points/Levels solo and/or in Freemode

But with the inclusion of purchasable cop cars in the Chop Shop update, I hope this means they're considering having another go at it now that the controversy has simmered down.

I think Rockstar changed something with the cops in the game, I've been playing this game for day one I have hiding spots all over the map to lose the cops. they're actually going places where they never would. For example the cops followed me in the tunnel at the end of the LA River.

Out of my 5k hours on gta I’ve never used rockstar editor but I do feel sorry for the old gen users who use the editor a lot.

You should have seen how I felt when Rockstar abandoned RDR2 as they were working on the Rockstar Editor for the game. I love Westerns and had a bunch of plans for films I wanted to make.

They really are going all out on trying to get people to buy the game for a 3rd time. That's the real reason they refuse to update the PC version, they want another $60-70 for you to access the latest features, and if you have to spend $500 on a console for the privilege of giving them more money, no skin off their teeth, except all the lost PC revenue anyway.

That's broken also. I have plates myself, but can't access them All. Rockstar Supposedly fix them but did a half ass job. And I'm not happy about it I want my plates back.
