Ready for 2022 and I hope you guys are too!
Thought I'd end off the year with a video I've been working on for a VERY long time, which showcases my favorite drifting spots in GTA 5. These include locations for any drifter regardless of your style, skill level, or car. This is an opinionated list but I feel like I was able to get an even mix of spots to fit pretty much everybody - but if you guys have any other spots you'd like me to check out, drop it in the comments!

I had a lot of practice at each spot so I got the cleanest lines for the video. Some took a couple hours to get, so I was definitely in the groove to make the most of the Futo's (limited) power! It did get frustrating at some points, though.

There've been multiple merge glitches that allowed you to get them before they were available for all cars. I was using a SP trainer that allowed me to spawn in the car, put on low-grips, stance it, turn off traffic, etc.

@@StevieWunderKid It looked like Franklin driving the car and since there was no traffic I thought about the trainer, just seemed bizarre to me cause I'm on PC and haven't played on console in years, so I have no idea how easy it is for you guys to get it (I'm assuming you were playing on PS4). One thing is absolutely unquestionable, your drifting is really good, reverse entries for days

Tbh, the LS car meet should've been in Elysium Island, such a great and iconic spot for drifting and similar street racing, makes sense with the theming of import cars n stuff, closer to the car delivery site, would've brought more life to the docks part of the map, instead of being this "cheap property area" that poor players with no ideals buy stuff at, it could've truly become this car community area, cypress flats is already popular enough, having arguably one of the best arcades, a lot of garages, containing one of the inner city LSCs and it not only being close to the LS river which is an aircraft spawn location, but also being a connector between the east side of the map, downtown and the docks.

Wow, last like 21 months, all i pretty much do is just drift around in this game, especially since the drift update came out and I thought I probably knew all the typical spots. But I’ve never really given the Vineyard road a second thought. I’m sure I’ve driven there from time to time but not thinking of it as anything special, but this place is great. Keep going though the 8 cars one by one and driving back and forth through the curves of it. Good stuff.

If anyone sees this I'll be explaining a merge glitch so you can get low grips on select cars. You need a bunker and an auto shop, and you need a car with low grips in your auto shop, I don't know if it can be done in public lobbies but it definitely can in invite only lobbies. You also need a service car in your auto shop as that's the car you'll be merging the low grips to. If the car isn't one you want to merge you need to service it and hope you get a car you want, it sucks but it's just how it is. There is a list online of all the available service cars. Step 1, enter your bunker then walk out. Step 2, go to your auto shop. Step 3, enter the car you want to merge to the service car and change something on the car, (I apply stock armour and re-apply 100% and it works for me) Step 4, call Simeon and request a job, then approach the car you want to merge the low grips to until you get the notification to service it. Step 5, start the job you get from simeon whilst you're next to the service car. Step 6, whilst in the job lobby, press RB (R1 for PS) to bring up the leaderboard and press right on the d pad 3 times. Step 7, back out of the job and if all has worked correctly, the service car should have merged the rims, colour etc from your donor car (you don't lose it don't worry) Final step, purchase the car. It's unfortunate that you have to pay for the car but it's not all bad, all performance upgrades transfer so at least you don't have to pay for those. If anyone sees this, I hope it helps.

@@chrislacomb5147 there’s a really easy merge glitch on service cars you can do. Get a Futo onto one of your lifts and use a car with low grips to transfer. There’s plenty of videos and the glitch has been working for a while.

Yup, low-grips have helped a ton of cars drift way better than they used to! The Futo I used in this video also had them equipped.

Yo man. Was you in races during this video? Because I want to get a race without checkpoints. Just point to point. Also is there anyway to stop the game from saying "WRONG WAY" while in the races?

I used a single player trainer to turn off traffic, set the time of day, spawn in and upgrade the car, etc. But yeah, you could pretty easily recreate this setup using a point-to-point race with 2 random checkpoints placed wherever you want (you can also turn off traffic and peds while you're at it). As far as I know, there's no option to turn off the "Wrong Way" option.

What car do you recommend me i really want a fast car that has long drifts and the drift tune option and if its affordable thats even better and i wanna know if it matters if i add ems4 upgraded engine before the drift tune

Yeah, upgrades before tuning does matter. I'd say your best bet for a fast drift tuning car is the Remus!

hey man... nice content... idk if u will read this comment. but can you please provide the list of cars and the specs it needs to be upgraded for drifting. ik banshee and some other cars... but if u have it in max upgraded specs, u wont be able to drift, its about the specificity of the upgrades and not the maxed out one. another thing - teach us how to drift perfectly, the perfect speed to use handbrakes, the steering, etc. all of that. thanks.

Sup man do you play ps4? i was just wondering if a IRL controller, point of view of how you drift would be something possible from you I really can't drift and i don't understand I've been playing gta for a long time but never did drift

Many years of practice using the mid-drive speed boost for drifting haha, some of the lines in this video were pretty tough with the Futo though.

God i miss the gta online drifting lobbys with 15 friends every day on ps4 in the city and custom ebisu traccs m on pc now but cant really find good drifters or crews now

It comes with a lot of practice using a technique called the mid-drive speed boost. The Karin Futo I was using in the video had low-grip tires which helped a lot too!

Pick up a lot of speed, toss the car in more aggressively than normal, and once it's at or a little above 90 degrees with the road you slam the brakes (while at full-throttle) to reel the car back in. Once you feel the car start to settle itself out and stop rotating, let go of the brakes and tap the handbrake (again, throttle is still floored) to drop a gear and then you can drift through the rest of the corner. Kinda hard to explain through a text reply but hopefully I can cover this more in a future video.
