Never thought when I saw the GTA V trailer 12 years ago that I’d think it looks “bad” now. Well it doesn’t look bad, but GTA VI just looks incredible. GTA V has held up remarkably well in the graphics department, but GTA VI… wow
You sir are the smartest guy in the room. The fact that people are now using these videos to prove how much worse GTA V is, is unbelievable. But you're the only one that's said GTA V still doesn't look bad
@@burningwolf_9641 GTA 7 with the VR-technology of 2040 will be too realistic for humans to tell the difference, they'll need to enforce age restrictions or kids will end up with mental problems cos our brains won't be able to tell the difference between killing someone in the game and real life 💀
@@MoonTes probably not, because it is already at such a level where better graphics than gta 6 will no longer make such an impression on us, because it is not even known what gta vi will be able to withstand, maybe ps5 pro
The video shows GTA V gameplay VS GTA VI Trailer. This kind of videos will take more sense when we can compare beetween gameplay of booth games, and not gameplay VS trailer.
Dude, your comment will only make sense if you can prove that Rockstar showed something in the official trailer that didn't appear in the actual gameplay when the game was released.
Exactly. It's like the lessons of Cyperbunk, Anthem and whatever else - don't teach people anything. These are all doctored, orchestrated shots. Running on god knows what hardware. But, rest assured - NOT ON PS5. Hell f*cking no. Again, it's like people forgot their own spidurman. That had such a fake 4k and graffix, and on PS4 it was basically a 720p soap opera, while PS4 Pro could maybe squeeze out 30 fps of 1080p upscaled to 4k, because who needs more. People forget that it's a video. VIDEO. Recorded, mastered. It has no dropped frames, no graphical artifacts, because it's recorded on non-stock hardware with basically an engine dump. Yes, obviously the game would be more... modern, than GTA V. Even on PS5. GTA V is basically GTA IV engine with some nerfs and some tweaks. But it won't have packed beaches, pixel-detailed textures, city-wide LoDs, traffic out of your ass and, of course, cutscenes, prerenders and orchestrated events would still be... cutscenes, prerenders that are orchestrated. But, frankly, even PS5 Pro would struggle with this game. Because, in case anyone wonders - consoles use deprecated, shit hardware. PS5 is basically a glorified 6600XT. Not even a 6700XT. Yes, during a mining crisis the situation was ugly. But after that mining crisis one could get mined franskensteins of that 6600 for like 150$ from China, and that's more available than even RX580 back in the days of past gen. PS5 was basically dead on arrival. Because it has nothing, NOTHING on, say, 2080. God forbid 2080ti, that's an enthusiast card. Sadly, can't compare it to AMD, because the best AMD had back then was a Vega Radeon VII. And given that PS5 had been launched alongside RDNA2 and Ampere - PS5 has nothing on 6800XT(like 400$ nowadays, maybe less, non-china), let alone 3080 in terms of RT(since in everything else 6800XT was straight up superior). And here's the fun part - I don't think PS5 Pro would even rival 6800XT. Or maybe barely rival that much. PS4 into PS4 Pro was 4x jump in rasterization due to a number of factors too technical for this thread. And now with Ada\RDNA3 being only modestly more powerful and only in some aspects(namely RT) - the base cards, the cards that consoles are built on - are barely better than last gen. 4060=110% 3060, 7600=110% 6600. Maybe PS5 Pro could have some near RX 7700 hardware - and that's still below 2020 high-end level. Around 3070 or 4060ti in performance. So what exactly is all that splendor supposed to run on? Holy Spirit? I could somewhat imagine this trailer being rendered on 4090, for example. Not unlike Cyberpunk PREVIEWS that had to run it on 1080ti-s and 2080ti-s. Because, duh, what else would they run it on, PS4 Pro, lol? With what raytracing before PS5? Maybe when GTA VI goes PC, maybe after nvidia's 5000 gen, maybe on some 5080(if it hopefully costs 1000$ to be keep it a "consumer-card") - we could PLAY THIS TRAILER. At more than 30 fps in native 4k. Until then.... GTA and conslow fans' best hope is that PS5 Pro would port this "universal afmf" that AMD rushed up in response to framegen. I mean, if you already play fake 4k - may as well play fake 60fps. That's technically ~25fps and your input lag would be terrible(who cares it's just controller) and MAYBE it won't have too much visual distorting bugs, but, of course - it won't be like this trailer. It's not rendered with frame generation.
@@WirxawTanev That's where you wrong. Both GTA V and GTA VI still shows artifacts in video. Like in GTA V trailer, there is a void in a map when you have racing in city scene(Thing didn't load or was unfinished by the time of trailer yet it's still visible) and here on the beach you can see that some characters in the far back are frozen. In RDR2 trailer you can spot dips in FPS. Since RDR trailer looked worse than final product, GTA V trailer looked worse than final product, GTA IV trailer looked worse than final product you can conduct that even GTA VI trailer will look worse than final product.
I have this weird feeling now. I remember when GTA V came out, I was astonished by how good it looked and how much stuff was packed into it. Now after the GTA VI trailer dropped I returned to V and it just feels so empty now, especially on comparison videos like this one. The VI trailer looks so good that it took away the magic of V, at least for me. Does anyone else feels the same way or is it just me? Looking forward to VI, but damn, it really made me realize V is a decade old game after all.
even more details than rdr 2! these graphics and physics are levels beyond rdr2, that’s insane!! gonna be so much to do and see! cant wait to explore and interact with every goddamned inch of this once in a generation masterpiece!!
One thing I love about rockstar is how they don’t tend to sugarcoat their games in the trailer, basically what u see is what u get as we’ve seen in gta5. So seeing the gta6 trailer, it’s blown my mind the fact it’s actually footage from the game all be it mostly cutscenes. Like it looks like a cgi trailer, I still can’t wrap my head around how incredible it looks. Can’t wait to play it!
i can't even imagine how can any video game engine and PC setup can handle this amount of details, objects, and effects constantly moving and stay stable
Man. I never looked at GTA V’s graphics now and thought that they were “bad.” It’s just now that GTA VI is out it’s honestly insane. But you gotta remember GTA V was and still is outstanding and was way ahead of its time. Cant wait to see what GTA VI has in store for us!
I mean, these are the graphical improvements that you would expect after freaking 12 years. I'm just hoping it will look like that in game too, not just on trailers
Digital Foundry has in depth analysis to that trailer visually, and you'll notice that there some graphical lapses in that trailer (Like some parts are in Ray Tracing and others not, others edgy shadows) it's really in game engine not CGI etc.
I finally know what people feel like when they Say "this is what the game looked like when I played it" gta 5 looks like san Andreas compared to Gta 6 😂
trust me, playing gta san andreas in 2006 felt euphoric because it was a huge jump from gta 3, not graphic wise but gameplay wise. they added so much content. fast forward to gta 4, it was also overwhelming graphic wise, but they did remove content that you could already do in gta san andreas. despite that, the story carried the game so i gave it a pass lmao
@@ihabda105no it start to be old, the car interior are horrible, the texture specially nature and building interior are dated and all the npc look the same
@@matthewwilliams3827gta has a lot more complexity and technological demands than a linear game like tlou, which is why it’s impressive how good it looks even in comparison to something like tlou2
I remember being mind blown at how amazing GTA V looked at release, and the same with GTA IV before it. I've not played either Red Dead games, but have seen how well put together they are. Even if GTA VI gets downgraded a bit for release, I'm sure it'll still be amazing visually.
Doubt we will see any sort of downgrade, Rockstar are notorious for making the actual game look way better than the trailer. We’ve seen that recently with GTA V and RDR2.
@@RealBoxingKingspretty sure it gets downgraded in some aspects tho. I simply can’t imagine how a console even the ps5 pro that eventually releases is gonna manage all that. Seeing the pictures npcs took is and small details like that are prolly gonna be changed. After all there is no talk about a pc release. But tbf the game most likely will run on 30 fps meaning more power will be used towards the graphics but like I said this is still insane graphics. You’re right tho usually rockstars makes trailers worse than the actual game just look at the difference between gta 5 and its trailer it’s huge
@@GodfreyFirstEldenLord, pretty sure it gets upgraded, especially in the eventual PC version. I think they didn't announce the PC version yet just because they want to make sure to cook the impeccable PC port like GTA V - and not like that technical disaster known as GTA IV.
Same. I remember the anticipation was killing me from 2011 when the first trailer dropped all the way until the release in 2013. I used to watch videos everyday about speculation of what was going to be changed and new in GTA V. I used to hate GTA IV so much because I was sick of liberty city and when GTA V came out, it was like a breathe of fresh air and had the same freedom that was in SA that I missed. Now I can't stand GTA V and just want to move on to the next game.
While I still feel GTA VI could look even more realistic, it appears an incomparably tremendous improvement from the previous game. It's videos like these that make you truly appreciate that, comparing GTA V with the most advanced mods and improvements to GTA VI, the sixth remains superior in the visual department. And it achieves that all while retaining its creative direction, which certainly excuses it gearing not towards realism, but rather a unique art style, as it's what truly makes games stand out and remain victorious in the test of time.
@@Andrewtate200 they can easily make this game photorealistic, but they opted for a stylized look, which in my opinion is much better suited for a game like GTA V than photrealism
We have had to wait so long for this. I hope npcs can interact with us, like if you were a bikini npcs will stare or catcall, and if you were a suit npcs will compliment you
Thank you for the work you put into this. There are so many details in your video that a lot of other videos I have watched haven't addressed. Subscribed!
Other than GTA, the only 2 other open world crime games are cyberpunk and saints row. Cyberpunk is in it's own lane and good in it's own way, but I got Saints Row for free on PS plus a few months ago and that game is horrible! 💀I always said since I was a kid that Rockstar is the king of open world games. Anytime I seen their logo on a game, I would get hyped and know that it was a good quality game, whether it was GTA or not
The editing in this is really good.. aside from the awful frame interpolation when you slow the clips down too much and use some warping, would look better without it.
It might not come out straight away, but hopefully we get to spend some time creating a character for online. I know that’s not everyone’s thing, but it be cool to even customize a little bit
People shouldnt forget trailer was released on december 2023 and the game probably will be out on september-december 2025 and we know very well rockstar improved the graphics of gta 5 and rdr2 from their trailers, so its gonna be more realistic
GTA V still looks atmospherically good today. But it's no secret that GTA VI will make everything much better in every area. which sounds incredible. Can't wait to drive through the city in the neon lights. Ray tracing shouldn't be forgotten either when CP2077 uses it to its full potential. then GTA VI too.
When I was a kid, super mario 64 and golden eye graphics were amazing. Now they're like 2 polygons. You look back and go "how the hell did that look good to me?" Such is life.
I love that Rockstar never prerenders their cutscenes (Max Payne 3 is excluded to some extend) but many many devs can cut a piece of that cake. Vice City is 24 karat gold these days.
Just from an amateur modders point of view, this is magic. Things I never thought would be possible. So impossible I couldn't even imagine them. The entire video I kept asking, "how tf are they doing that?!"
I have really high hope of GTA VI 10 years they’ve been making this game so it seems a lot of blood sweat and tears went into building the game. Really looking forward to the release. Also have a feeling the next trailer will release around the same time and the game release date will be like September 10, 2025 or September 17, 2025. Just in case if I’m right you heard it first here.
I heard that the game could be out as early as October 2024. I think good release date is like April 2025, that they might have, so people can enjoy playing the game through the summer.
@@Andrewtate200 I heard that development of Gta six started in like 2014, but heavy consentration on developing the game started like 2018, so its been made longer, than five years.
Gamers through they had it made when GTA V came out, it took over entire channels….and now the GTA VI trailer is out, this game will be RU-vid for 30+ years. Those graphics next to each other are distinctly different, it’s so mad how we used to think GTA V was realistic and now GTA VI is a completely new beast of realism. Love it!
Just imagine what freakin gta 7 could look like, if there can be more done than this….. I have never in my energy life had such a hard time waiting for a game fr, and the fact that millions aren’t going to be able to play it right away… it just makes me pray to god that these people can get a hold of it ONE day. Peace guys can’t wait, and am waiting with yall.
It's not a pre-rendered trailer in a 3D software like Ubisoft does with their games , just to make a quick example. The trailer footage It's entirely captured in engine and Rendered in real time. All the character models, 3D assets , props , lighting and etc... Are what we're actually gonna get in the final product.
I'm amazed to see how Rockstar makes a revolution with every GTA series. When I was a kid, I was blown away by GTA III open world. The possibility to walk around, drive, and shoot was ahead of its time and seemed like magic. Then IV came out, the physics and the graphics were absolutely incredible. No other game could offer such a level of realism. GTA V impressed me with its endless map and breathtaking landscapes. Even after a decade, the game doesn't feel entirely old. GTA VI is going to be the most detailed game ever. Look at the stickers on convenience store door, accessories, dust, trash, car interiors, NPC outfits, etc. I can't imagine how much effort they put into VI.
Well apparently GTA 6 is only confirmed for PS5 and Xbox Series X, no PC version yet, so I wonder if the footage is actually from consoles. I seen a former Rockstar dev saying that the game will actually look like the trailer because apparently Rockstar has very talented developers and engineers that know how to push consoles to their pull potential.
The traffic density and draw distance is subject to change. Especially on consoles. It’s not the first time Rockstar Games did this. They always pretty up the trailers.
I know I'm jumping the gun already, but after seeing this, can you imagine what the jump from 6 to 7 is gonna look like? The combination of the rapid advancement of AI along with the extra decade of time for the game to come into fruition..yes I might be dead but damn that will be wild
I'm pretty sure they will implement a world map in GTA 7 imo, LLMs has proven to have better compressing capabilities than current compression methods Every area related to technology will change insanely due to to AI
Me in 2020: I wish I can play Gta V Me in 2023: Finally I can play Gta V Rockstar: We released a Gta 6 trailer on RU-vid and its gonna release in 2025 Me:
I think this game will mark the end of 60fps for this gen. Games from this point are going to focus on high fidelity at a 30fps cap. And honestly, im fine with that if this is the level of detail we are getting. This finally feels "next-gen."
Yep, he compared GTA 6 and GTA 5 which were played on a low spec PC 😂. That is not fair. I played GTA 5 on PC using an RTx 4090 and it was really realistic
Do you guys think it will finally be that memory game? :D Since we were kids we dreamt about the game remembering one of our actions, like a big explosion or traffic jam induced by us without dissapearing 1 minute after or after getting away from it...
Im hoping now that everyone is a lil bit more relaxed now that we have a trailer. We can see how much work they’ve been putting this game and they are working their absolute hardest. Thanks rockstar ❤
It's probably because it's not completely finished. I mean it looks gorgeously beautiful but it is releasing in two years (or 1 year in terms of date) so they need time to finish it and fix any mistakes.
