ABOUT GRAND THEFT AUTO CHINATOWN WARS
LEFT FOR DEAD IN THE WORST PLACE IN AMERICA. Following his father's murder, Huang Lee has a simple mission: deliver an ancient sword to his Uncle Kenny to ensure his family retains control of the Triad gangs of Liberty City. Huang is a spoiled rich kid who expects everything to run smoothly, but his trip does not go exactly as planned. After being robbed and left to die, he will search for honor, riches and revenge in the most dangerous and morally bankrupt city in the world.

The drug selling, hotwiring, PDA phone, creating molotovs yourself at gas stations, electric gun, sword, scratching tickets and mute cutscenes are things that makes this game unique.

@@Smiley0.1 yeah, actually drug selling was planned to be in San Andreas. But in the story, sweet hates drug dealers. It wouldn't fit the storyline and it was removed.

It's crazy how this game had features like having half or just most of gta 4's map, buying and selling drugs, hot wiring a car and even have mini games in most missions that make it fun all in this game even though it's a handheld game even playing it today on mobile is fun

Even reviewers really loved how this game handled like a champ on a Nintendo DS. Only Alderney was removed as well as the tunnels/interchanges/underpasses on land/on-offramps and replaced with intersections.

probably will never happen. this game takes place in the same universe as gta 4 and 5 but it was meant specifically for handhelds. i noticed rockstar always released these games right around the launch of big titles. gta advance released the same day as san andreas. and gta chinatown wars was released in between the gta 4 dlc’s.

@@geniusn8343 I can't recall how the story between Nintendo and R* was, but it was something along the lines of Nintendo kinda having to get a GTA for the DS for the sake of more games and appealing more mature audiences and, since R* was working in a new portable GTA for the PSP then Nintendo took a chance with it too Chinatown wars was released, it had a lot of controversy (specially for the drug dealing mechanic) and Nintendo promptly took his mind out of putting another GTA in their systems again

@@ginger_jake I really don’t know why just the DS version doesn’t have vocals, its sound chip can play songs with vocal tracks (as the ones in the Guitar Hero On Tour series), probably copyright stuff or maybe because the PSP version came later and during that gap they added MF DOOM and Ghostface Killah vocals? Who knows?

I played the Nintendo DS and PSP version of this game and I have to say I prefer the PSP version overall because it's graphics are a lot similar to GTA IV unlike any other version. The DS version is nice and all with it's touchscreen gimmick but it wasn't anything all that special. And the IOS and Android version which is this footage does seem like it's the most definitive version being full HD but still I prefer the graphics on the PSP alot more there, here it just looks too outlined almost like a cartoon.
