The 2nd dialogue really shows Niko's anger to losing Roman compared to losing Kate in either of the dialogues in Out of Commission. Michael Hollick really deserved more than $100K for his role.

Fun fact: There is an Unused Email sent by Niko’s mom after this mission, in which she tells him that she heard Roman was killed and that he should leave “evil” place for Niko’s own good and stability. Meaning that it could’ve been a little bit more darker in a sense that maybe in this timeline, Niko eventually goes back to Serbia to take care of his only family left.

Seeing how compassionate Little Jacob is towards Niko, really goes to show that he cares a lot about him. Rockstar really paid attention to character development right here.

Out of commission is the cannon ending because on life invader in gta 5 in 2013 Roman has commented on one of Niko pictures

This is hands down the saddest ending for the game. I found myself crying for hours, roman (although annoying at times) was a good man, I spent ages missing him calling to go bowling.

It's 2020 and this ending still gives me a little bit of a goosebump especially when Jacob starts talking about how Roman talked about Niko before he came to Liberty City

The last RPG is scripted. You will get hit even if you dodge it :)

With the boat and chopper part, I've found it's actually easier to do if you follow the chopper at a slower pace and then speed up when Little Jacob appears. I got on the boat super quick and took the shortest route possible and I couldn't catch up to the chopper, but then the next time I took my time and didn't even fully accelerate on the boat and I made it.

This really was my favourite GTA, I found it a much more immersive game, I replayed the story 4 times, I just really felt able to relate to niko and feel his pain and turmoil, I tried completely the game without killing anyone or unarmed, only in defense if they fired first, trying to help niko keep killing in his past to an extent. I also found it much more interesting character development than any of the others, in the beginning he’s calmer, by the end just so angry, like the terrifyingly satisfying “I’ll rip your fucking heart out”. And being able to grab onto walls at a JUMP, parkour was my favourite thing to do in gta 4. -and acrobatics in oblivion, can’t even get on a roof to feel like a real kahjiit Thief of the night in Skyrim.

Hey I know something that you missed! When dimitri kills pegorino and you shoot his body then niko says 'This is for Roman!'

Did anyone know the Revenge ending is the REAL ending for GTA 4. Rockstar has confirmed and there's even a video about it.

I recently played through the game again and it took me about 20 retries from the checkpoint after the car chase do complete this mission. Not because I'm a noob or rusty but because of the fucked up 'balanced/dynamic difficulty' algorithm of the game and some other bullshit. The part shooting Dimitri's goons at the casino was easy as it probably is for everyone with halfway decent aim, but I always failed at the 'get on the chopper by spamming shift'-minigame. I'm suspecting the precise and fast aiming (which even got more routined with every retry) increased the difficulty parameters so I wasn't able to climb Jacob's chopper. I then tried to simulate bad aim by intentionally missing DImitri's guys which eventually worked out. 'Some other bullshit' that happened was Little Jacob sinking the chopper before I could reach the marker (2 times), one time Dimitri's chopper crashing and falling onto the roof of a random Algonquin skyscraper (what made me fail in the first place).

Even 3 years later, its still interesting... I never played gta IV because of my bad pc... :( But your videos are awesome!

The line that Niko said "Roman man I'll get him for you" it was my favourite, it was very sad

This is a way better ending than revenge, revenge is more happy and roman is alive but in here it’s dark and a good fit for the story. You can tell rockstar put a lot more effort in this ending, the weather, the helicopter vs helicopter chase, and of course the amazing acting of the cast. You can see how much more hurt Niko is and how much more effort Micheal Hollick and Coolie Ranx put in this ending, I even say this mission has the best performance of Dimitri in it, especially in the part where Dimitri runs to the Helicopter you can see the disbelief and fear in him that Niko is still alive. This ending is just perfect and I feel like should be canon, Niko learns his lesson of not working his traitors and the game actually ends with the Main Villain in the last mission. Revenge is a ending where Niko can get over but in the Deal ending Niko can never get over, even after 15 years. Amazing and Sad ending.

I honestly HATE this mission. So emotional, about Roman.

I have found a glitch in which while chasing Dimitri's helipcopter, if you shoot it enough, the helicopter will explode but remain intact and continue to fly, when little jacob arrives in the annhialator, as Niko tries to climb aboard, a rocket will hit the annhialator and result in failure of the mission, when Niko respawns at the nearest hospital, the camera angle will be stuck when Niko is boarding the annhialator. Note: I was playing the PS3 version. Other platforms might differ

If you wound Dimitri enough & quick enough while he's running to the chopper, the cutscene shows him limping into the chopper instead of walking (I used an RPG on him that connected on the cutscene lol). I don't know if this affects his health later on.

you can also fail for abandoning the boat. I remember I failed this mission like 3 times because I got on the wrong boat

The first time i beat GTA 4 i chose the deal ending only to have roman die, i was so sad. It was a great game and it really was emotional.

That kinda helped shooting the guy with the RPG is cool man I was having so much trouble with this mission because I tried to get under Jacob’s chopper but he just left and went ahead and I fucking lost Dimitri it made me so mad

You forgot to include all the things niko says when Dimitri kills the peg you can shoot the pegs body and niko will say a whole bunch of stuff

Holy shit, in the second dialouge, the game outrights scolds you for taking the deal, lol. It's like the game is telling you "you fucked up, go reload a save" Niko repeated the same dialogue 3 times of him wanting to somehow rewind time and change his decision as if he's self aware that we could reload a save, OK we get it Rockstar, this is the wrong ending.

If there was sticky bombs in the first game u could place one were the helicopter spawns and kill Dimitri early

Niko still looks stressed after his cousin's death at the Wedding.

Niko could have blown up the Helicopter with a Rocket Launcher just as Dimitri was getting into it and ended it all there, instead he ran over and grabbed it.

It always annoyed me that unlike with the Revenge ending, Niko never shoots Dimitri on Happiness Island, unlike what he did with Pegorino. All that talk about what he would do to Dimitri to revenge Roman’s death, only to just stand there and chat whilst Dimitri literally lies on the ground right in front of him.

you need to reupload video because you forgot to put two more fails first destroy boat(sqoglo) destroy the helicopter in which the Jacob came to pick you

Can also fail by not getting the boat in the right position to jump onto the helicopter.
