The car sounds are not actually engine sounds, you can hear them on the back because the exhaust (the tubes that are underneath in the back) is connected to the engine, which the exhaust guides the engine to make sound to the back (or sides) and prevent the engine sound so god damn loud. It's called exhaust sound, the engine is in the front.
