DLC's like the ULP one and especially the Drug Wars feel like content made for new players, not old players. Missions that are easy to access, give semi-decent payout for new players especially and the later gives you an entry business for free. They might have done these DLC's with new players in mind, especially considering that was their mentaility when introducing Online on next gen consoles
@Tommy Vercetti Despite being so old, most GTA players are also really casual. Not everyone has all the businesses and watches GTA RU-vid videos. It's accessible to people who only play occasionally
@@tommyvercetti9434 in the eyes of Rockstar it must have been just a good opportunity to bring GTA Online to a new audience or bring back old players that have no idea what most stuff in the game is. Since a great majority of players are mostly casuals Can't blame them for doing that... but focusing entire updates to that is just stupid
Pro, you forgot one important thing about the car you get at the end of the Last Dose story: It's an Agency vehicle which means you can put the missile lock-on jammer and the armor plating on the car!
You might not notice this but if you wait for Friedlander’s guy to come to the warehouse there will be a little stealth machanism where you have to look for clues while trying to stay undetected in mission 2. And if you get detected, there will be more of them chasing you while you leaving Elysian Island.
One thing I didn’t like is Dr Friedlander still being alive in dose 3 and dose 5 We all thought he was non canon since Michael kills him or he dies regardless This is what happens when you let the lead writer go
This DLC feels like it's an extension of the Bikers DLC and should of come out within a year of that update. This is if the moonshine business of RDO would have been introduced this year instead of after Frontier Pursuits.
We can't deny, "Checking In" is one of the greatest missions! 🙌🏽 Friednlander's version of acid, and him arguing abt ppl calling him pube head, showing off his studying success.... Turning us against clones of ourselves, with Dax and Lucha....the cougars killing us 🤣....the rehab centre chaos, it's an amazing trip! Best mission imo, and best story missions yet. Truly enjoyed all of it, with the Virtue being an awesome car too 👏🏽🚗 Also, the Professional was right, when he predicted the rehab clinic being the location Friednlander will be to test his new drug. Awesome clinical trial, tho. I tried to kill his clone on the balcony 👍🏽😅
@@14bobasks888 I highly doubt that. I think Rockstar wants to keep all future games in the same universe from now on (hence all of the recent RDR2 references in Online)
Been always like that, only specific characters got aged up in DLC's like tanned version of Lester (though it's not really age), Franklin and I'm struggling to think of any other
Theres only 2 things good bout the story missions 1. The focused more on luchadora which i liked an thought she was under utilized and 2. The car u get from completing it isnt that bad
I actually enjoyed the last dose. The last mission was a bit of a doozy but the rest were pretty solid. The cutscene with Friedlander and the radio actually made me chuckle a bit

I don't mind the car. But another reward that we should've gotten is the ability to call Backup from Dax and 3 members of the Fooligans back you up. Similar to that of Dwayne's guys from GTA 4
The character Lucha getting screentime and you getting Friedlander's expensive car after the end felt good. But him escaping was like ''are you serious moment'' unless he comes back for a future dlc? The demand should be more and not settle for little.
I completed those new missions today. They were fun but not really too difficult at all. Put it like this, the first and last missions were the most challenging.I was rewarded with Dr. Friedlander's Ocelot.
They treat your character like he isn’t the god of death who sells the most amount of drugs and weapons in los santos preformed some of the most notorious heist an associate of DrDre with a shit ton of armored and armed vehicles
So true,this is a DLC that should've came out about the time of the Online being a thing in 2013 - 2014 to be honest,it's all about you the player being "fresh meat" not only in the group but also in the drug running scene,also it's a free passive business that doesn't need HUGE amount of investment but also doesn't give much profit either is like a starter type of business you know,it coming now makes it obsolete for most players who already are basically the equivalent of "the king of the mobsters in LS" you know. But for new players starting now it is a nice beginning to be fair,a nice partially free business some new free cars new players have it easy nowadays.
Wait... Wait... did they really retconned Friedlander!? Sworn you killed him on the last visit to the therapy session. Should've known Rockstar would be that much of a dingus and screw things up... Next they'd want to bring Devon Weston back (Oh, he manage to break free and jump out the trunk and rock climbed his way up, or the FIB rescued him). Also, doesn't seem like this update was really that appealing, but I will admit I did get a good laugh starting at 34:14 with gunfight.
To be fair you could just let him go instead of killing him, but at the same time why the hell would Michael allow someone who knows literally EVERYTHING about his past go, especially after the man told him that he's going to use his stories to just make himself richer and expose Michael's identity as the infamous bank robber from North Yankton? It legitimately makes no sense for him to still be alive under any circumstance, unless Michael just somehow had problems killing this 1 therapist with no protection, but could deal with the FIB, Devin Weston, Merryweather, Martin's men, etc. Legit makes no sense.
I wonder if Rockstar has plans for Dr. Friedlander since he ended up surviving. Will he be in a future update or show up in GTA6? It would be very cool if GTA 6 Online story and GTA 5 online story would be intertwined.
3 things I’ve noticed while doing these missions. 1st Dax never reloaded the RPG in the cutscene, he might have reloaded it when the camera wasn’t on him but he still would have done the animation. 2nd the one mission where Dr. friedlander shown his face. The building was just a reskin of the morgue from single player and the mission from doomsday heist. And 3rd the last mission where you have to get on the cargo plane is just GTA ONLINE version of Fate of the furious movie. If you watched the movie you’ll probably know what I’m talking about
Lol the plane mission was just Minor Turbulence from Story Mode. You crash a plane exactly the same way as Trevor and that happened years before the film. Rockstar just reused a 10 year old cutscene.

This update is different from past dlcs that rockstar has released and it's more for the new players that are new to GTA online than for the older players because they can just play this when they have nothing to do when they've just started to play GTA online and don't know where to start.

some tips on the car if you have armor plating you can't throw c4s but you get more armor ofc but if you take it off you can throw c4s but you have less armor also for some reason if you take explosive damage you can't drive into lsc or call lester atleast for me
One thing I don't think I caught Pro mention... Friedlander dies in GTA Vs story regardless if Micheal does it or not, they basically retconned his death for no reason other than... to sell the DLC?
You actually get to see Friedlander's Car (Ocelot Virtue) in the 3rd Mission (FriedMind) when you reach the basement to rescue Labrat as soon as you use the keys to open the door of the Basement
I really dig the mission where you're tripping and your lives don't matter at that point, the aim debuff sucks but as long as lives don't matter I'm all for it.
I gotta say, you sold me on the explosive shotgun! As for that mission "Checking In', yeah, it was stupid AF. The Virtue is a pretty cool car, I removed Friedouche's livery but kept the gasoline green paint on the car. Considering Friedouche is still alive I hope if he returns he won't steal back the car, I've invested a bit of money into it, haha.
Hmm…almost like they’re working another GTA yet ppl still play GTAO. Though these updates have been trash, I don’t complain about them. I play them for the sake of it and move on to a diff game

Doubt you'll see this comment but FYI there must be some variation to that 'trippy' mission because I didn't get wild animals attacking me, I got guys with hamburgers for heads instead. Oh, and as others have said, the free car you get can be weaponised in the Agency garage.
I think we might get to tie up loose ends in the next DLC? Kind of like how they introduced the Casino in one DLC, and then let us rob it in the next one
I have a feeling they released the drug wars dlc around this time was due to the fact that acid and other party drugs are becoming popular for ravers and clubbing. And gta online timeline is with our current year.
I got done doing the doctor freelanders house dude I always wanted to kill my own online character this mission was absolutely amazing I've ever played on GTA online I couldn't stop laughing when freaking the doctor was on the stage dancing and also him being the DJ😂
I know this is off topic but has anyone else been getting their MC businesses raided hella frequently. Bc every time I bc a MC President for literally 5 seconds and I’m getting raided and I have security on all of them it’s to the point where I don’t even become and MC President to do stuff like deliver bikes anymore bc I’m tired of getting raided
Completed this yesterday. I quite like the default livery. But I am also hoping that the airplane is available soon. I think the main reason it hasn’t yet, is because of what would happen if several players tried to spawn it. You could only spawn it at the airport, and that could be chaos or a crash
