Controversial opinion: I think after the patches and bug-fixes, the Definitive Editions are pretty good. Are they still kinda ugly? Absolutely yes. But a lot of people are nostalgia blind. The faces were always monster mashes, that's nothing new. Some have gotten a downgrade, like Asuka and a couple of the girlfriends, but the faces were always pretty awful to begin with. So the updated controls, combined with the QOL changes like mission restarts and a map in 3, really does make the experience better. And yes, before you ask, i played and 100% both the original 3 and VC, and finished but never 100% original San Andreas.

bruh i see multiple youtubers downloading MASSIVE amounts of mods as if gta can handle all of those and im not talking the game will crash im talking they will overlap eachother . so there is a limited amount of mods active at any time and that amount doesnt change as long as the mods are not changed
