Because Smoke is the same age or older than Sweet. He's Sweet's number two. So Carl probably saw him as more of a father figure since they didn't have their dad. Sweet was his brother, and he loved him like a brother, but smoke? Smoke was like his uncle. He helped grow up CJ and was the one he talks to about shit with his family. Smoke betraying them was harder because Smoke was Family. Ryder, while a Grove OG, was an asshole and him doing that shit anyone could have seen, because ryder was always about himself first.

Cj's mom was killed by Smoke and other ballas gang members Cause Police told Cj to stay away from Smoke that means they were involved to and don't wanna CJ to know And in final game mission when CJ was killing smoke Tenpenny came out with a shot gun to kill CJ.
I remember I was playing with cheats (I was a kid). Ones was the explosive car (when you crash another car explodes) so I was in a motobike and I crashed killing every groove in there even Sweet. It was really weird the cinematic cause I wasn't understanding what was CJ staring at!

Nah in the beta Ryder wasn't supposed to betray CJ, sadly the voice actor for Ryder, for some reasons,didn't want to do it anymore, so they cut his character in the game short and made him die in a weird way,while using the alr available voice lines to make it seem like Ryder betrayed CJ
The Green Sabre used in this video was not obtained with a glitch. I got it by taking it to a TransFender shop and painting it bright green. Hope that helps.
