GTA San Andreas Vs. GTA 5 Max Wanted Level

Having a max wanted level in GTA has changed over the years. Back in GTA San Andreas you could get a six star wanted level and once you had that, there was almost no chance it wasn't game over for you! In GTA 5 though, the max wanted level is five stars and not much changes from four. One more helicopter comes, sometimes two, but that's it. I'd definitely like to see six stars come back in the next GTA!

Actually fun fact, GTA V was supposed to have 6 stars and at 6 the army would come out (there are cut police scanner lines, where the dispatcher requests military units) Sad it got removed.

People keep saying it is because the Posse Comitatus Act forbids using the army for enforcing laws outside of martial law but like- At the point where you get 6 stars it's no longer breaking the law, a dude with rockets and access to military-grade hardware is razing the city lmao

Ain't that just cheats, tho? There's one that gives you immunity to bullet damage, but you'll still take damage from falling and from explosions.

Fun Fact where no one asked : *Ironically, LSPD Swat can survive 9 shots and a normal LSPD Police officer can survive 2 shots in the chest without body armor while a military dude who wore military-grade armor died in one shot.*

LSPD First Response officers (those 1-2 star cops) also die in one shot or atleast in my experience, since they dont spawn with armor

Also fun fact: when GTA SA reaches 6 stars,the tanks do not shoot at you they just stop in front of you and the solider ho us driving comes out of it and starts shooting at you.

Isn't 2 helicopters a 4 star thing? Edit: yeah it is, 5 stars just evaporates the civilian population from the map and highly increases the NOOSE presence, replacing most of the regular police. At 4 or 5 stars, 2 or 3 helicopters can chase you but it'll usually only be 2

But only if you are in an Aircraft. But still, dogfighting made a lot of fun back than, sucks they won't send some in GTA V, makes the Fighters useless. (Don't count GTA O Lobby's where you have decent people in it to actually have good fights with)

My first gta was Liberty City Stories and the wanted system was: 1 star - mild cop interaction 2 stars - medium cop interaction 3 stars - intense cop interaction and fib undercover vehicles join the pursuit 4 stars - Army joins in 5 stars - Whole of the LC army with tanks and huge soldier transportation vehicles Because of this I rarely got to 5 stars even with a minigun

I hated how gta5 only had 5*, there was no challenge against the authority, with the new gen consoles they could've done some cool stuff to make you feel like a true threat to society that had to be put down no matter the cost.

I was able to survive for over an hour on 5 stars in GTA O with nothing but a 67 Mustang. I cant even survive 5 minutes with 6 stars in GTA SA because of the Rhino tank and police helicopters
