@@GeneralBurkhalter1 The story was merryweather, contracted as MPs at fort zancudo. So technicly, Zancudo MPs. They have jurisdiction as long as the crime involves military personnel in and near an army base. It does require local law enforcement to be informed though.

If military equipment is stolen, especially experimental jet fuel that was dictated as being the reason why CID was out and about in the first place. This stuff is Top Secret, actually it would be more likely above Top Secret, as such you cannot bring in local or even normal federal agencies as it's out of their jurisdiction big time. It would also be reckless as local police forces talk, especially to the media for extra money in their pockets, this happens all the time by the way. The CID is also derived of mostly Warrant Officers only, they're some E6's or E7's but they are in training and are in a Warrant program. The reason for this is that a Warrant is neither a traditional line officer or enlisted man, thougj is still commissioned directly by the House of Representatives. Which means they can investigate both parties without approach. An E6 Military Police for example wouldn't be able to arrest a general where as a CID Warrant Officer can if probable cause is there to do so, get it now. Watch the film, The Generals Daughter to get more insight what I'm talking about. The CID agents were running all over the town shooting up bad guys. In this particular scenario however they made the CID agents E5 and E3, that is flat out wrong and doesn't exist. They can be normal military police of course, which is what the local police were treating them as. So really, both had it incorrect. In the Future make sure your CID's are Warrant Officers and they must have a signed affidavit from the Attorney General of the state they are opperating in. Their is however a 30 day grace period in which to get such a document, this is meant for agents who are on temporary assignment or are transferring. Basically, they are like the NCIS, which is a fully credited federal criminal agency, though without any restrictions. In fact, next time I would just be NCIS agent's, less mess and fuss for all parties involved in your ROP fun. Finially, if you are a Special Agent of the CID you can pretty much do anything you want, well, under the jurisdiction of your affidavit that is. As they have authority from the Executive Branch.

Huntracony MP's are strictly for military bases/property protection. Each division of the military has it's own internal investigation bureau, like the NCIS (Navy/Marines) the CID (Army) the AFOSI (Air Force) and the CGIS (Coast Guard). These agencies have federal level authority for criminal situations regarding their branch of the military, and would be the agency tasked with something such as this - not to mention authority above and beyond the local police, which Buggs was hoping to insinuate here in a hilarious way as basically a hired, private security para-military guy!

Yes - he is good in the DOJ series. Do you watch his videos too? He does some where he is the criminal, but Buggs and Polecat are not involved, so those videos don't show up on their channels. He does a great job being the criminal too. Out of all these RP cops he is about the only tolerable one.

Military would bring in the FBI or NCIS to help with investigations in US soil and would notify local PD what they are doing so shit like this won't happen.

I'm not familiar with each unit, but federal agents should let local PD know what's going on, not only for their help but also local PD will know the area a lot better. If, polecat and buggs had another person or 2 playing with them, they could've pulled that off legitly. ie. 3 federal agents, 1 criminal.

The military on DoJ does not have jurisdiction in Los Santos.

Uniform code of military justice has jurisdiction over military only. United states code applies to civilian and codes of federal regulations applies to both civ and military.

I agree Jacob .... it was overkill in this episode. Justice, if they weren't harassed for 10/15 minutes we would have ~15 minute videos with much more action in them .... and more of Polecat and Buggs being "Polecat & Buggs"! They were pulled over immediately in this one, the situation was explained, and yet they were pulled over again less then 2 minutes later, and then stopped AGAIN about 4 minutes after that! Can't get the episode rolling, and do their 'bad guy' stuff when the cops are harassing the shit out of them! The biggest issue with all these DOJ videos is the frequency and reasons the RP cops pull them over. Hell, we never even found out WHY Buggs was pulled over that 3rd stop in this one .... by that blue cop car. He did some non-legit shit in backing up and pulling behind Buggs, who hadn't broken any traffic laws, and had JUST left being talked to by that group of cops literally 30 seconds earlier. Just stupid.

And you have links which will provide the backup to this statement you can provide then? Because I am fairly certain that MP's 100% do NOT have any sort of jurisdiction anywhere outside a military base. That would fall to an agency like NCIS or CID.
