@@klyzn they gave the task of remastering the trilogy to grove Street games a mobile developer who ported the trilogy for android And cuz if this the defenitive edition has so many bugs
@@Intolerant93 yeah maybe , but i guess they should be defined as 'PS2' games instead , since R* themselves said that they originaly made these games while keeping PS2 in mind .
Compared to the 10th anniversary versions, at least this version is trying to fix issues. Hoping to see more updates and bring back/restore the removed/simplified mechanics.
They seem to be listening to the community at least. I think Grove Street Games were overworked and underpaid with crazy deadlines resulting in things being rushed, that and they were given a task by their parent company Rockstar Games that meant they had bitten off more than they could chew.
I really HATE today's gaming industry were they simply care about money. No love for the games. Nowadays they make incredibly unfinished/bugged games not even tested at all and sell it, and then try to fix it when you buy it, since it should be fix and tested at the moment of releasing a game to the market. It really sucks...
@@fuckenciollantaso7662mostly radio's But it's buggy.. Has performance issue Even tho they are fixing it The textures are still bad Some bugs still exist don't buy it for now if you haven't If Rockstar updates the textures You can consider buying But I doubt they will fix the model textures But I'll say don't buy it unless you really want it I don't want Rockstar to earn money with this kind of attempt
@@Filosofia897 creating games back then was people loveing their job and working with passion now they are some underpaid people who hate their boss and the entire the company(R☆) and don't love their job at all back in the day games were much more impressive I remember playing gta sa in ps2 and pc
Rockstar has fixed a lot of the issues. Unfortunately, they created some new ones. In San Andreas after update 1.04, the Cop outfit is now glitched. Also, during a lot of missions if you use the 'Retry Mission' option the game crashes, or CJ's character can't move at all. I've managed to 100% the game, but I hope they continue improving it for other players.
@@Jonas-ej7id but if you add effects like light in the windows of the buildings you will notice how close everything is, and the fog will have no effect at all.
Great comparison! But there's a lot, and I mean A LOT to fix. Let's see how much of patience they've got to fix this instead of focusing on gta vi. This trilogy is already skip for everyone now.
Its so happy to see Rockstar are finally seeing their mistakes and trying to fix them Edit: Omg 600 likes I never had these many XD Edit again: And yes I can see the comments tbh I think they are doing their best
I really like seeing positive videos about the games progress instead of all the bashing about its release. Yes, it was a rocky launch, but things are actually getting fixed. So glad it's not just being tossed to the side and left as-is.
Stillnot worth buying IMO, here in Brazil it costs R$300, comparing to the original R$20 of gta san andreas not remastered... even if it's the 3 games now... I don't think it's fair to charge this much for what they gave. Ok they're fixing it now, but if they could do that, why not do earlier? This is some lack of respect and this will be my definitive answer for this: not worth buying
Besides the fog these are only minor fixes but it makes me hopeful to get a good game when I will buy it. Hopefully they will fix the main critical point/ niggle - the character models, too.
I never buy a game at lauch, especially nowadays. The price is high and there is bugs and glitches. When you wait, there are patches that fixe the game and the price gets lower. It's a win win for the customer.
I see they are fixing it and kind of caring of their fans but it does not mean I am a fan of Rockstar yet I hope they don’t fail us again with the gta 4 remakes and/or fix gta online then I would trust them again
Its not even Rockstar that made the trilogy though. They couldn't be bothered to do so. Therefore they gave a project so massive that needed hundreds of developers to a small company with only 9, Grove Street games. Also know as War Drum Studios. The same ones who made the mobile reboots.
this is how the game should have released. shouldn't have had to rely on fans bug reporting on reddit and twitter, which in my view is clearly what they've used to focus on what to fix.
I am very sad that this applies to essentially almost every game released this year... :( What's happening to gaming anymore.. If they plan to do this they should just do what Baldur's Gate 3 & Bannerlord did and do "Early release" instead. This way they can release game in buggy state with players testing it and giving feedback - if Cyberpunk released like that it would get much less backlash in my opinion.
There's still so much work to do, the game has still uncountable problems. I think that the game is 60% finished right now, they need to keep up with the work and the updates to make it at least 90% complete as soon as possible! These two last patches look promising btw
Judging by how most of the mistakes were simple to fix and easy to be spotted, makes me wonder if Rockstar didn't give GSG enough time to develop and rushed the development cycle. Seems like they didn't even had the time to stop and play the game by themselves.
Rockstar is generally never good at deadlines, they always push back release dates. It seems in this case they thought it could go under the radar, and release before Christmas. But obviously a game like this has a lot of eyes on it. Gta V will be no different, I think right now they’re sweating bullets.
@@apocalyptica119 2 years to port 3 games in to a completely new engine and remake a bunch of models and textures is definitely not enough lol. Especially for a 20 or so man studio.
@@apocalyptica119 8 months for each Game, running 2 engines at once, with a team of 20 people, on 15-20 year old game code, while remaking almost everything. Have you ever developed anything yourself? It's very hard, so shut the hell up and blame R* and T2 instead.
Back then games were released in cd's so if there are any bugs they wont be able to "update" it. So they bug test every part of the game then releasr it
Devs unfortunately for you have the ability these days to mess up and fix later for deadlines. Back in the day you had one shot and that was it. Its for the good and the bad really but recently more the bad. Good because more features can be added easily
@@romanz5189 It's not about me Or remaster, it's about Rockstar's insanity we are going through. They are becoming money hungry baboons instead of what they used to be, then one after another the original developers left that made them like this. They are not even releasing GTA6 because a spokesperson of Rockstar said they are printing enough money from GTA Online.
@@romanz5189 Initially, they removed mod support and the games from most if not all stores of the classic games to get people to buy the Definitive Editions. They brought it back up thankfully.
@@MrSkullMerchant well it's like this new one but with worse graphics and a lot if cut features and things not working properly. For example flying controls and camera modes are a lot better in the original version.
They should add the Sound Effects of nature in gta3,gta vc,gta sa In gta 3 def Claude's Favorite Middle finger should be add when he is stopping those cars by standing there!
I’m assuming that Rockstar developers made the patches seeing how quickly they were released. Makes you wonder why they weren’t the ones working on the remaster in the first place.
Even though the game is starting to look like it should when it was released, I find it terrible that the community is forced to bang the table to get Rockstar to react so that they have to have more control over the developers' work. who they entrusted with the task. It's been two times that Grove Street Games faileds GTA remake, releasing a game with mediocre quality bordering on feignity. For the PS3 version of GTA S.A and for GTA Trilogy it was confirmed that they reused the mobile version which they tried to "improve" and doing a shoddy job. Hope this is the last time we will see this studio name next to Rockstar Games
Rockstar is just a subsidiary development company under T2. Take-Two Interactive should have had Rockstar develop the remaster, but they entrusted a mobile game dev instead.
I am honestly appalled at people like yourself who are so willing to throw love at “innocent” Rockstar here and acting as if Grove Street is an entirely different entity. Grove Street are a small team of (most likely) underpaid, overworked, and, quite frankly, less skilled devs than the ones at Rockstar. It is therefore, then, not their fault that what should have been a massive task was offloaded onto them. If you’ve ever had a job with shitty management above you in your life, you can damn well understand not only how much it sucks to get tasks thrown at you that you’re not only not prepared enough for, but also that when inevitable mistakes are made you’re the one who eats the shit instead of your fuckwad boss who got lazy towards their work. Rockstar made $1bn in revenue off GTA V last year alone. Sony Games, which handles entire console rollouts, 100x more IPs, online services, and generally far more expenses made around $5bn. You’re tripping if you think that Rockstar not only can’t, but is not obligated to, take some cash and make a proper remaster studio like Blue Origin. FF7s remake cost $200m, and it’s one of the largest overhauls to an older game ever. To PROPERLY remaster all 3 games probably wouldve cost around $100m. To do the BASELINE of what they shouldve done here wouldve cost them around $5m. I bet in reality they spent less than $2m.
@Hitler Loves Anime its basically just tord in fnf but i basically reskinned it to make it look like me (as usual) i got rid of the things on his hair cause yknow
Imagine if Rockstar Planned this all along and their purpose was letting us find the bugs instead of them in order to fix them afterwards.. because the games are really looking untested
T2 (who owned Rockstar now) know the GTA Trilogy have a big success because of the huge GTA community not just play this game but also create a lot of interesting mods and fan-made remaster that make this game even better look. The huge community demands the highest standart from Rockstar to create GTA Games, so make sure before announcing and releasing the GTA games your devs team try to experience their game themself, so the GTA community will get a best experience when play it.
Well presented, let's hope they fix the gym animations and controls, bike controls and the cheesiest fire effect I've ever seen on the hydra jet when it catches fire. Those things have bugged me from the start.
All I want them to do is just to optimize the game better on all systems. For example, if you want a locked 60fps on PS5, then you're gonna have to downgrade to the PS4 Pro version, where the resolution is much more blurrier, but you maintain a locked 60fps, due to the backwards compatibility on PS5. They do that, I'm sold.
@@dipsithecreeper That is a very poor excuse especially considering what Strauss Zelnick has said about games. It's the game developers job to find all the bugs and glitches and not the the job of people who have paid money for the product.
@Planet Khan No. The point is R* should've never released these games in such a poor condition. They should've fixed all the problems BEFORE selling these games.
there's still more to do and i'm glad they're updating it to match rockstar's quality..but i gotta say the games are playable now without memeing or having a bug any 5 seconds..they're working hard and it shows
Imagine patching a game that's A.I upscaled which cost $60 instead of actually remaking the "definitive edition" from scratch. It's like cleaning and polishing a hunk of shit, it's shiny but it's still shit.
@@ZelenskyPlane You do know what Blue said at the end is sarcastic right? There’s nothing actually “in the past”, it’s about making quality games in the first place. This is a multi-billion dollar company (R*) that let their OG games that made them who they are today, be crippled by this lazy Definitive Edition. Don’t forget that Take-Two took down dozen of mods for the original GTA games, and even filed lawsuits towards *their fanbase that created mods to better their games*. The mod devs who only wanted to give GTA players a better and more fun experience. This bug fix is the least thing they can do.
@@Lancaster-hu6jy the thing is, rockstar games themselves didn’t make it, they chose the cheap way out with outsourcing it to grove street games. But what I am trying to say is that, what ever happened, it has happened. We can’t dwell on the past for too long, nor can we change the past. So for now, let’s hope they learn their lesson and fix up this game.
@@ZelenskyPlane thats the problem, Rockstar didn't care about this until the see the controversy, a good thing they are giving the trilogy some attention now.
@Blue Skies Media back in the day shit was f*cked up! Like it is today plus every single game nowadays is broken at launch no matter how many beta tests done it at least takes 1 year for the whole thing to get fixed except for cyber bug maybe that’s horseshit
Do people actually believe the games are fixed? Come on, let's not use titles that suggest to rockstar that consumers are happy, when these games clearly need more work put into them and definitely does not live up to the title "definitive edition".
I got the trilogy day one. Never seen any issues because I started with gta3 and didn’t get too far in I guess but I loved it so far, then I stopped for a bit after the seventh mission to play FH5. Can’t wait to go back, after all these patches and fixes,
I bought the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition! I went to my nearest Retro Video Game Store and bought the Xbox versions of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas along with a Duke Controller. Did it cost more than the new versions? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes.
"Don't blame the developers!" Hey I built a new car. After the dealerships sold thousands of them a defect in the engine caused them to explode. It's not my fault though, it's the fault of the salespeople for selling them....
I noticed that the weird shadow glow thingy on the characters are greatly reduced. Thank God. You can even see it on this video's thumbnail! There is an outer shadow on CJ and it just doesn't make sense. And it looked bad. And on the new update, its gone and looks better.
Hope we could start getting performance and character model fixes now that the biggest issues were addressed, this trilogy should run smooth and I hope someday we could get to that
Tbh I have to give them props for fixing a lot of the major issues and some minor ones. I hope to see more fixes and updates soon, but this is good. It still shouldn't have been released in this state, but still, props to them for trying.
There is still a lot of work to fix the games. The rear lights of vehicles at night, certain elements of the scenery are still inanimate, gas station, giant rooster in the desert, petroleum machines etc. And above all to settle this horrible popping especially in the desert with some trees and rocks! And repair the framerate .. For the PS5 and Series X it is intolerable to have drops in framerate!
before tge patch while we were in a plane or on a big hieght the hight measurer was not there but after the patch it was fixed. Hope you will cover this in next part.
Compared to the 10th anniversary versions, at least this version is trying to fix issues. Hoping to see more updates and bring back restore the removed simplified mechanics. I Kinda like the old version of San Andreas because it has better control
hopefully gta ig definitive edition doesn’t face the same problems. and i’m convinced we’re getting one because if you play gta 3 def and go to the ad signs on staunton island by driving forward after exiting the callahan bridge, you can see a sign saying “see you in francis international” hinting gta 4 will have one too as in the original the sign said “see you in vice city”. you can also see a FlyUS plane leaving gta 5 San Andreas so i think it will either be gta 4 def edition or gta 6 map
