it's either rockstar that's thinking logically or the game engine is doing the maths right. i mean, if they give the game engine the mass of an object and the force that is pushing it, it is supposed to calculate what will happen. so, if the same amount of force is pushing both cars (they have the same engine etc) but one is heavier because of the armor on it, the speed and acceleration should be different.
Surprisingly enough more mass doesn't make cars in gta online slower. R* just has the sense to tone down the stats on heavier cars to make them seem more sluggish.
Goateeth It's just the way the game is coded. Weight makes a car handle crashes better, but it doesn't make it accelerate less or turn worse. It's why a car like the insurgent can have insane acceleration despite weighing a ton.

That's not how cars work. Top speed is defined by gearbox ratio (the easiest way of modifiying it), weight says how fast can you reach it. So either Rockstar didn't make it work like that, or the armored one has a shorter gearbox (leaning towards 2nd)

Not sure about online players, but against NPCs, one vehicle that is 100% bullet proof can resist all shots going through the glass. Can only die if a door falls off or if manh shots hit the car and the car explodes. When your inside this vehicle you can't be shot by NPCs, but your tires can be popped. The vehicle is the Police Transporter. The police can shoot through the Kuruma. Only you lose health very slow. You can still be shot

This is realistic. The armored version is heavier so it has less speed the the original version. The original is faster because it does not have those armor plates. Thanks Rockstar for being realistic.
I can see why the Armoured Kuruma is slower; It's because it has Armour so therefor the armour adds more weight making it almost harder to move around.
Kuruma(Armored)- is roughly 3 times more durable than the Original Kuruma, plus it's agile, fast, and has bulletproof windows with bulletproof window plating!
