Luckily I found this video, I did the mission (the shooting people from the tower bit etc) so many times, I was getting so frustrated. I shot all the lights before being asked, shot the guard, and then the guy in the car. Apparently, I was supposed to wait lol

If you cant pass it, try pressing the left joystick (the button you use to honk), it opens the wheels for the landing

I just skipped the first mission "Mr Trevor". I had the hardest time there is, killing all the motorbikers. But I m very happy to say that I completed this whole mission, included the landing:-)

How are people having problems landing? Deploy your gear and start slowing down and decreasing in height a pretty good distance from the run way don’t land too fast let it happen naturally
