“You can’t hurt me anymore!” That line alone makes me wonder if there was some unknown traumatic event that happened to Trevor involving clowns that caused him to develop such a deep seated fear and loathing of them as seen during this mission.
I think all the characters fears represent something, Trevor is scared of clowns because they look all fun and games on the outside but actually they’re evil, similar to how Trevor hates Traitors and fake people because they lie and deceive while looking happy and innocent. Michael is scared of Aliens because he feels alienated from his family and society in general, he always wanted to be the good guy and he’s scared of being alone which is why he’s scared of being abducted away into space. But Franklin is the levelheaded one of the trio because he has no fear when he smokes the joint which shows he’s the peacekeeper and the one holding the trio together, stopping T and M from going off the rails.
