there's something gritty about the orginal that makes it look more real and is it me but also the darker colors help for example the nightlife looks so much better in the original!

Im not liking how theres no distance fog anymore. Problem with draw distance was always LODs not the draw distance itself. Looks silly being able to see everything now across the water. Especially in San Andreas and in an airplane.

This is a mixed bag. Like they got the environmental details and some weapon effects looking downright amazing. But for other weapons, small details like sprays of dirt after firing are missing in the remaster, the patches seems to restore the head chop because I did see it happen in the game. Still, overall it's a solid conversion that revamps these classics for modern platforms.

The lightning in DE looks like the effect used in Mall Cop during the Rainforest Cafe scene 😐 They really couldn’t have it flash in the sky like the original?

Honestly the car handling is a lot better than it used to be for vice city. The only one with god awful driving still is probably GTA 3

Guys the whole definitive edition has NO TAIL LIGHTS on cars! A feature that was included 20 years ago is missing. I wish I could get a refund on PSN I am so angry!!!! And in GTA San Andreas, music is missing in ALL SHOPS e. g. Cluck'n Bell, Pizza, Tattoo, Barber shops etc.! It feels so empty now.

Those explosions look absolute shite, as well as the new player models and animations - & how in the hell do you do a remaster in which you add new effects all over the place, but fail to add simple bullet decals? Doesn't seem very Definitive to me - just seems like a cashgrab. I'd hope for the modders to fix it, but given how R* has treated them recently I wouldn't be surprised if they all avoid these DE's like the plague!

Remastered version doesn't looks right to be honest, models and textures looks good but it doesn't fit with light effects which makes the game looks weird. For example when rain comes out, in remastered everything looks bright meanwhile in the old version it looks dark. This is just another garbage remastered from Rockstar.
