Which version of the mod in this? Can u please send me a link to it? The one I have is the alpha 0.1 and only has 4 guns. I'm not complaining but the more the merrier
You teleport to position yourself near cover....And then, depending on your play area size, you walk, crawl and duck in a game-world-space the size of your play area.....It's so immersive that it really doesn't matter.....Just got my Vive yesterday and I have never experienced such immersion in the 14 years I've been a PC gamer. You don't know until you've tried it! It works so fucking well, Even my mom, Who hates gaming, Tried it and wouldn't take it off for over 30 minutes. All while saying how awesome it was, She was playing Tilt Brush.
Tilt Brush is as simple as it gets....MS Paint in 3D, Sculting with light is what I can compare it to, And yet you can lose so much time just walking around and being creative.
+Michael Long This uses OpenVR which supports the DK2, but I have not verified it with this build. I don't know if the Hydra is supported by OpenVR, but the mod has no provisions for manual alignment of the Hydra positions with the HMD.
Is this Mod still in development? I have some bugs and i havent seen any possibility to post them. 1) I cant teleport in cars on the main seat when there is driver in it. with this bug i cant steal cars because 2) i cant go into cars with the normal "Enter Car" button. The Teleport weapon seems to have a hitbox and when the invisible character wants to enter the car the hitbox kicks the car and it fell over. 3) Shoot weapons in cars is not possible. First the model is invisible and second you have to break the window to shoot. it is actually possible via mouse to break the window and then you could shoot if you have the right weapon but its an unlimited power shoot which isnt so much fun. i would love if you could fix these bugs :) Thank for your work i enjoy your mod very much!
It's not under active development, but I try to fix bugs when I can. These 2 are known issues that have been difficult to solve properly. In future versions I could maybe bind a key to teleport the player into the driver's seat by force. The game engine seems to hide the weapons while driving, and I haven't found a way to make them visible and still work with animations and sound.

@@engineerbo On github there is still a second mod "GTAV_OpenVR" from simply-jos. Maybe you could see how he worked out the teleport to the first seat problem. Also he added the possibility to get a visual without vorpx. its not 3d but a good free solution.
how would moving actually work? I mean, like, actually traveling. it seems like the vive is only good just standing in one spot and maybe moving around your room. would you have to walk in place or something?

You can have a play area of up to 15ftx15ft.....Which is pretty big....This is not native support so the movement is not the best example of what's possible in VR....Some games find clever tricks to make you think you're moving around a much larger space than what you are, By making you walk over the same spot in your play area without you knowing it....It's all done really well. No amount of words can explain how immersive it is...And youtube videos do Zero justice. If you have a chance to try one out, Do it....But keep in mind that the Rift loses a ton of Immersion since you don't have walking....The vive takes the cake in immersion( Unless you're playing a cockpit game, then both headsets are similar). Just keep an open mind and realize that you have to be able to let your imagination run wild.....If you do so, The immersion is amazing. I love my Vive!!!!
