Gtech HyLite Review Part 2 - how well did the bag do! 

Thank you for your thorough and honest review. I too was surprised how well it handled for your needs. This has made me decide to buy this as I need a really lightweight hoover as I have serious injuries from a head on (fatal) car accident in Jan. 2023, plus multiple pre-existing chronic pain conditions, so all normal hoovers are too heavy e.g. anything over 2kg

Just taken delivery of the Hylite 2....very impressed, love how lightweight it is. Will be used for quick vacuum upstairs (which gets less mess) while we keep our AirRam Mk2 and Shark for use downstairs that gets messier and needs something beefier

Bagged vacuums do hold more than bagless vacuums because they compact the dirt into the bag, bagless machines swirl it around and introduce air into it, so it makes it seem like you are picking up more and you empty it more often. Bagged vacuums are more hygienic and require less maintenance. A normal bagged upright, the bags would last several months before they needed changing, as it compact the dirt so much. These cordless cleaners are supplements for a main vacuum, they are no supposed to replace your main vacuum.

You didn't show that the handle rotate on itself so you can reach hard to reach places, I did the whole ground floor (and it was very messy) and half the stairs on the 20 minutes the battery lasts, had to recharge , 2 hours is very long time for 20 minutes use, but never mind, and rehoovered downstairs again a few days later twice again (including kitchen and bathroom, both times) before bag was full. It's a nifty super light handy hoover, crafty the way you can pack it up either in a bag to hang on a hook or leave in a drawer, the trick is to give it time to pick up cornflakes and stuff like that, the suction is excellent. In my case, am 73 and have hands and back problems, I found it excellent, except that the brush bar was very hard to unlock but I managed and on the 3rd occasion I cleaned it it slotted itself WRONGLY and no way to get it back out. It's been a week now when I contacted support, via email to support@gtech.co.uk, uploading picture of defective lock and proof of order with all details and delivery slip for good measure and ask for a free replacement of main unit. I received an email from a Gtech agent asking me to confirm my name, address and god knows what, which were all already in duplicates in my email to them (!!! Surreal!) and then they would be able to help with my query. Today I went to their site, checked support and there was a general note that due to great demand, queries might take some time.... Needless to say was totally nonplussed but can't help being very amused by all this nonsense... If support is in great demand it speaks volume :) So I called them just now and main unit will be replaced, free of charge, didn't even have to wait that long at all, GREAT !!! The agent was totally charming, helpful and am VERY happy ! :) By the way I paid £129.99 via www.hylite.tv, came with manual, handy (and a rarity these days) but doesn't show how to put brush bar back in, and bonuses, about a dozen extra dust bags, plus large storage bag to put the whole dismantled hoover in, can be stored in a drawer, and delivery was super fast, got it the following day from ordering. VERY HAPPY BUNNY !!!
