A pathway I have gone by 100s and 100s of times. figured it must been a rail line at one time as it just sticks out as something was there at one time, now I got the final answer, thanks on sharing.

Love your videos, so very interesting. On this video just west of the MJL Library and roughly by the recycle bin, look north and on the north side of the tracks sat a CNR passenger station

Thanks for following and thanks for the info. I knew there was a station in that area, but that was a bit before my time.

Two things struck me. The portion of the bike trail beyond the library sure seemed like a right of way embankment, but nothing on your maps. Or C of TB spent a ton of money putting that trail in. On the timetable I noticed something like "Street Rlwy - crossing at grade" listed twice. Back in the day was there a streetcar system and did actually cross at grade and how was that controlled?

Yes, I always wondered about that embankment between Brown and James Street. I thought for a long time it could have been a RoW, but I think it was more of a berm built to block the noise from the rail line since the homes were so close. There were numerous street railway crossings by this line. According to this 1915 timetable, they were partially or not all interlocked. There were two crossings of the CNoR and CPR tracks that were fully interlocked. padwrr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/10/gtp-july-11-1915-ii-copy.png

Perhaps you could find the time to do a review of the street car system. You know, when you have five minutes.

@@foamer443 Maybe, but I have to say that these urban explorations are not really my thing. Too busy and noisy. Much prefer the outdoors!
