If this was still an active line, in all likelihood that stone culvert would have been replaced long ago. So it's neat to see a construction of this nature as generally we don't see anything like this these days. And interesting to see it's still sort of functioning. The end is nigh we are almost out of map!

It is an interesting thought. I do wonder though if they would have replaced it. In my explorations of the Kinghorn, I found close to a dozen or more stone/rock culverts still in place on the line, which I would assume are original construction. Many of them were still in good shape. This one was probably the most elaborate: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YLLbQLq-oG4.html No worries, soon we'll be on to the next map ;)

Kinghorn Sub. That was the CN line taken out of service in the 00's? if memory serves. Interesting if those culverts were still seeing mainline traffic at the time. Are those culverts of rock construction for their entire length or only faced with stone?

Ya, Kinghorn (Longlac to TBay) last ran in May 2005. Here's a few examples of those culverts. Some are rather beat up, but others are in decent shape and they do run the length of the grade. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UunRE0L8HDo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OOweYnC4X-Y.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bT3G-eEAMME.html
