Yeah even without the scalpers I feel this is valuable information, because it pretty much doens't have to be some high end rig and not everybody live in some western country where they poop used 2080tis at the landfill. So where some people are concerned, yes a 660ti would be an actual upgrade. And even then, you can't get a console to do computer thigns and I think steamdeck is too stupid and a waste of money and ps5 is a waste of money so you need like $700 for console and TV + $70 per each videogame making a console not at all worth it to me, and plus because the steamdeck is so damn expensive while being not immersive it's nowhere near worth getting seeing how it cost budget gaming rig tier already. So basically, it is still very much worth it buying and building a "new" office PC with budget older parts to become fully PC gaming tier. You can use a R7 270x or a R9 380 or GTX 780 and mostly get away with it on PC. If you wanted to just play older games and a few non-API restricted new ones you can very much just buy a $50 GPU and a $100 CPU+RAM+mobo combo on ebay plus sticking it in some old office PC or maybe stick $40-50 GPU on $100 used office PC, it won't be PS5 level performance but it can still be massively superior experience for less than $200 for full package all hardware plus some ancient monitor.
GT 660 is actually the recommended GPU from rockstar to play GTA5. Amazing to see how they suggested a GPU that'll run the game exactly at 60 FPS haha. Good video nevertheless keep it up :)
@@yudarizky1133 yeah but in my country the gt 1030 costs 160 bucks gt 730 costs 75 bucks gtx550 ti costs 80 bucks so this is the best deal ever the surprise is the rtx 3090 it costs 4000 dollar wtf!!!!
boys ive been using the gtx 660 since 2013 up until the right now as i write this comment and i can confirm it gets the job done, even after all these hard working years... blood, sweat and tears, it still stands strong. An absolute warrior some might say.
I found your channel for just a benchmark of apex on the gt 1030 and since I haven't regretted subbing to you because it is still so interesting with a great presentation. keep up the great work
I am on good hardware now but to think, I once played such pure hell suffering that a 660 would've been a good enough upgrade for me. Even that, good God RX 550 sucks such balls it is like a GT710, I shouldn't have listened to guy selling it, it sucks. It's like the minimum playable experience in 2016 tier.
@@drek9k2 itz been 2 years since this comment ,I feel so good about my new rig I remember the days with that 660 , in any case I would now able to play HZD on ultra
Those CPUs will perform absolutely the same as the 3700x that I used, those can be used with 1650 supers without a significant CPU bottleneck, so they'll have no problems running a 660 like shown in the video. Even the i5s are ok
Bruhhh i was just going to casually search about gtx 660 gaming on youtube and you just uploaded it 😂😂 ps:- keep up the good work mate and have an amazing day, love your videos :D
I almost got this card for my current PC back in the day, but I saved a little extra and went for the GTX 770 when it was just released. I wish I bought the 7970ghx/280x instead though, Kepler cards didn't age well...
thank you for making these videos, i know a lot of people are just fans of you, and i can see why, but it really does help people on a tight budget who just wanna play a couple borderline demanding games like apex legends on cheaper builds
I had a GeForce 660 up until about a year ago when I upgraded to a 2080 TI. That graphics card is amazing for it's price. I mainly played Overwatch on it and at low/medium graphics it ran smoothly at 60-70 fps.
I’m sorry what?? You mainly play Overwatch and you picked a $1200 graphics card that never made sense at any point to play a super easy to run game??? I can’t tell if you’re trolling or really just don’t understand computers 😅
@@solemnsilence3650 bro really replied to my comment from 2 years ago. I don't remember my thinking at the time, but in hindsight, I played more GPU demanding games sometimes and certain types of games get more GPU demanding in general over time as they get larger, more complex, and have better graphics. And no at the time I most definitely did not understand computers. That's why my brother helped me with everything
With the gt 210 you can play that game at 640*480 lowest at decent fps (if it's not the ddr2 version) If you have the ddr2 gt 210 don't try hahah he made a video about that.
Been using this bad boy for 10 years now, and its honestly a monster of a GPU can even play most new games on low setting without issue, used to play Fallout 4 all the time on almost max setting at 60fps perfectly even with mods running in the background. If you're broke and can't really afford a new graphics card and you have a budget of around $100 i'd very much recommend it, especially if youre just a casual gamer
I actually had 660 untill last year when I got new pc and sold the 660. That card was so good even when I was running it with fx4130 and it did bottleneck it sometimes.
I had one of these back in the day paired with an i7 4790. I thought it was so cool 😂. Eventually upgraded to a 970. Then I left PC gaming for a bit and went PS4 but eventually came back with a GTX 1080 and a 1700x but I have fond memories of this card. Just for it helping me through my early College years.
didn't plan to buy this gpu, but I really love watching your reaction when you playing, got me laugh quite hard watching this and 100% better than comedy show
@@zWORMzGaming I'm buying a new pc soon and I'd like to ask you about some stuff about the specs of it, can you dm me in discord? Would be a lot of help, thanks
@@Leuncakk He's lucky you realize he records this multiple times and I'm talking about single shots I'm not talking about sprays That's a whole different category of aim I'm talking about actual headshots like one taps or burst
I still use this very same card in my Aurora R4 which is the original card it came with. Looking into replacing the R4 in the next few months with the R11.
I literally watched ur all videos. damn it took some time. but it's fun I'm in lockdown here. so this is my first comment for u. And u're amazing. thank u for testing all the gpu for us xD
When i want to purchase a new Gpu I must watch ur video because u always Give Best experience and Also show specs About It I am your subscriber And I love u ❤
The only real issue I see with these 600 and 700 series cards nowadays is a lack of DX12 support. They came out before DX12, so they have zero hardware support for it. I was actually running a 760 until quite recently, and it’s still a pretty great card, if only it had modern api support and better drivers it’d be a great piece of kit especially for budget builds
I bought a GTX 660 that exact same model you tested back in May 2014 for $130 USA. Was still a really nice midrange card in 2014, and I did an GTX 660 SLI with an FX-8350 in late 2014. SLI was still supported but 2015 games came and that’s when SLI started becoming less supported. But GTX 660 SLI in late 2014 was crazy good computer at the time but quickly got out of date.
I'm so glad I canceled my ebay purchase of a gt1030 after realising it was the ddr4 not 5 which is apparently dramatically worse. and I instead got a bid for a gtx 660 for £33
WTF just going on with CSGO, last time I played in 2017, I used a GTX 760 (660Ti'ish), and the game never gets more than 30%~40% GPU usage at 1080p lowest, and the VRAM never used more than 1GB, what they are doing with that game?!?! Why "Hellfire Cheese"?!?!
You can basically use any processor that you want and it won't bottleneck a 660, you don't need to worry about your cpu bottlenecking your gpu until you get up to the rx 570/580 range.
I have gtx660 because my dad haved IT Like 6 years. And i getted IT Like 1 month ago And Still Very well performance. Playing doom Eternal on 65fps medium thats amazing. I juct can recommend this gpu And kryzzp can you make more videos with this gpu ? I like when you test this gpu And sorry for bad english im not american
hey mate, good video, this GPU introduce me to the 60 series of Nvidia cards , from there , i always got the mid range ones from this GTX 660 till today with my RTX 2060 Super OC and probably gonna buy the next RTX 3060 , very good cards for the money...
