Guangxu was the most miserable emperor in Chinese history, serving as a puppet emperor for 34 years. 

There were many emperors in Chinese history, some were very capable, and some were puppet emperors; the most representative one was Emperor Guangxu, who was an emperor for 34 years in total, and indeed a puppet emperor for 34 years. He was always under the control of Empress Dowager Cixi, and was eventually poisoned to death, thus being called the most tragic emperor in Chinese history.
