I don’t think the tapered ends look bad. My ends are tapered too. Our hair seems to be similar in that combs and brushes snap and break it off. For me I notice if I handle my hair when wet, my hair is more fragile and can experience more damage and break when it’s 80-100% wet. My hair has to be almost completely dry but moisturized with oils before I touch it to make sure I get minimal shedding and breakage. So after I wash it, I try to wait several hours if I let it air dry or even the next day, before I manipulate it for styling. On occasion, if I want to manipulate it sooner I will blow it dry on medium and/or cool setting. When I do this, I don’t use a comb or brush attachment, I’ll just let the air from the blow dryer dry my hair. The longer/ thicker my hair gets, the less it wants to be messed with. And same, once it gets longer, I will trim the ends a bit more but right now, since it’s it protective styles mostly, I’m not worried about it yet! Lol 😂🤷🏽‍♀️. Anyways, thanks for sharing your routine. 😊

Your nails always look really healthy. I like the fact that you use a lot of natural ingredients for your hair. Wanted to let you know that lemongrass essential oil can remove regular nail polish from nails instead of acetone. Just a little tip...

Hi Tia, I commend you for always showing viewers in real time how to carefully take down hair and ensuring that it's moisturized. So many ladies on YT go Speedy Gonzales in their videos. While I understand that they want to hold the viewer's attention, it's also beneficial to show that caring for hair shouldn't be rushed. And you shred a good tip about oiling hands before taking down braids/twists. I've never done that before, but maybe I'll try it. On another note, here are some videos I'd like to see: -The inspiration behind why you went natural and your hair growth journey (What challenges did you face? Did you ever struggle with comparison? What's the most important lesson your natural hair has taught you?) -Your journey in building a relationship with God (if you feel led to share, of course) -A video that discusses why you decided to create a RU-vid channel Hope all is well on your end. God bless you and take care!

Hey Sis I perfectly understand what you mean by dry state. I have to do that most times too but when moisturize and keep in the wet state, to prevent crazy tangling I use a lot of organic shea butter to coat my hair. Really enjoyed your videos. Congrats on 10K, I pray I get there one day too❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉

@@tialynn1111 Hey Tia, don't know how I'm just seeing this comment 🤦‍♀️. Sorry for the late reply Sis. Yes I use it whipped as well but I prefer it in it's hard form. It's more slippery that way. It melts my tangles and keeps my ends very happy 😊

Hey heyyy. Glad to see another video. After this month I said I was going to put some medium braids in for the next 3 months. I’m definitely going to try the not braiding to the ends and just sealing them to see what that does for. Also I may try the wash every 2 weeks and refresh then at 4 weeks do the whole wash day routine. You should try chebe butter or grease . You can make it I know you like to make your products but I heard that helps with thickening your hair. I about to start using it to see if I can get the ends of my hair shaft to become thick so my hair it thick from roots to ends

Hey! 🤗💕Yes not braiding the ends is a game changer! I’m thinking I’ll probably have to continue growing my hair out. I think it’s due to my hair growing in layers Ok let me know how your 2week wash day goes✨

Just thought of another video topic idea. Maybe you can do one where you should different hairstyles, or ones that you hope to try one day. I know you're currently on a hair growth journey, but maybe that's something you could do in the future. I also think it would be helpful for some viewers to see the various ways you style the braids you currently have.

It’s crazy that just a couple days ago I decided not to twist or twirl my hair all the way down anymore because I noticed how my 4 c hair knots when I do , but I’ve never heard anyone else say it … so I was thinking other women with 4 mc have to be experiencing this …. You were confirmation heaven sent lol… thank you… congrats on 10 k , I’ll try to hustle/pray my way out of the 10s place this year😂

Question, if i wash my hair every week is better to redo the protective style every week after wash days, or should i do a protective style and keep it for a whole month and wash my hair in the protective styles? which one is better for retaining the most length😅
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 6 месяцев назад
Hi love💕 the issue with found the latter is your hair could knot/tangle up if you are waiting so long to redo them + washing them in the protective style and waiting to redo them could cause further knots and it defeats the purpose of the protective style if it is badly tangled and if you have to struggle to take them down. I don’t know your hair type so I’m wondering, does your hair get tangled easily? You don’t necessarily have to redo them every week, you can try to redo every 2 weeks. See what is best for your hair💕 I noticed when I waited a month for takedown my hair world be really tangled and interwebbed and I’m seeing I’d rather redo them more often to prevent this 💕

Im confused is this video about what you do every 2 weeks? Your hair is damp from washing it in braids and you are now undoing, detangling, and redoing every braid-every 2 weeks?
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 6 месяцев назад
I need to create a video from start to finish so every step is seen from when I wash my hair.💕 This is what I’m doing: I’ll wash my hair w/ my aloe mild shampoo in braids after 2weeks has gone by. I’ll then take the braids down and loose and finger detangle and then oil them (sometimes I’ll add a leave in conditioner) I’ll re braid and stretch them so that by day 2 after my wash my hair will be moisturized but dry. This is that step so now I’m gently re braiding dry, oiled hair to keep it as tangle free , stretched and ‘dry’ to prevent any tangles. Then after 1 full month I do the same steps except I’m actually taking my braids fully loose, twisting it, going into shower and one by one washing each twist loose (I make sure the hair is detangled before fully washing it loose) I’ll do a video on it, its a little time consuming but I’ll work on it because I need to show this in detail 💕💕

@@tialynn1111 thank you, I would definitely appreciate a full video! You don't think the constant taking out braids and reinstalling them is why your ends are thinning? I had to stop braiding my hair because the braiding and "unbraiding" my fragile ends was causing breakage and severely tapered ends even though the ends were moisturized. It was the constant manipulation. The only way to stop it was to keep a significant portion of my ends unbraided and twisted, so I decide to just twist my hair instead. I'm getting much better results with just two strand twists and keeping the ends of my twists in a moisturized bun undisturbed for 3-4 weeks. I will wash my scalp in between that time and/or spritz with rosemary water and/or a light oil.
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 6 месяцев назад
@@MT-yx5cuI think it might be that my hair is in layers, I have to really go through and assess it though. I don’t think it’s over manipulated because my hair rests for 2 weeks before it’s re done. I think the ends may have thinned because of how easily my hair tangles and then I’d have to cut those out 😫 so will try this regimen for a year (keeping it dry stretched) and see the results after 6mo to 1 year 🤗
@tialynn1111
@tialynn1111 6 месяцев назад
@@MT-yx5cu I love your regimen! I can’t do twists though because my hair tangles after a few minutes in twists lol💕
