GUARDED AND GATED GOLDENBERG & TEUS MANSIONS IN MALACAÑANG COMPLEX, SILIPIN! | NOON AT NGAYON SERIES 

A rainy afternoon to us all. The Goldenberg was the seat of the Spanish and American admiralties from the late 19th until the early 20th century. Unfortunately, the big house was inaccessible to many because of its reputation as 'another house of the most powerful man in the country' but its regal splendor is inevitably worth admirable in our eyes. The Teus Mansion, on the other hand, became a guest house but unfortunately, the structure was kept hidden from the prying eyes for security reasons. From its gates you can tell the place is still well maintained as it was back in 2006 when I visited the place during my OJT days in DPWH main office in Port Area, Manila. MABUHAY KA SIR FERNS!!!! This channel is the very reason why I love being 'Filipino'.

The three buildings consist the Department of Budget and Management complex. The two storey buildings were constructed during the time of the Budget Minister Jaime Laya. I held office at the building on the left next to the Goldenberg Mansion. Across the Pasig River is the Hospicio de San Jose.

Good evening po. Yung building sa kanto ng Gen. Solano at P. Casal Streets na itinayo noong panahon ni DBM Secretary Jaime Laya noong 1978-79 ay DBM Building 3. Yun namang katabi na mas bagong DBM Central Office kung saan nag-oopisina yung kasalukuyang DBM secretary ay DBM building 1.

Buti nalang Fern at ngayon ay pwede ng mabisita ang 2 mansions na yan under the efforts of The first lady Liza Araneta Marcos turning them into museums
