Ik😭 it make me f*cking cry dude. But one of my friends said the movie WASN’T EVEN SAD. He also said he LAUGHED when (spoilers) LYLLA, FLOOR, AND TEEFS DIED. LIKE WTH HOW DO YOU LAUGH AT THAT!?
@@w0nderg00seproductionsinc.8haha I thought I was the only one I also order pizza for my girl. also Happy late One Year Anniversary Guardians of the galaxy volume 3
What's perfect is that the music corresponds as much to rocket as to Quill. Rocket because he feels weird after the operations and he misses Lylla. And Quill who feels out of phase with the new Gamora which fits perfectly with Radiohead's lyrics
As someone who’s been listening to Radiohead for a very long time, my face lit up when I heard Creep play in a movie I thought I’d never hear Radiohead be a part of. That being said, Creep was the first ever song I heard from them, so I just wonder how many people young and old just discovered this beautiful band.
Absolutely. I found so much great music from the guardians trilogy, but 3 was really the one that opened my eyes. From Creep all the way to The Dog Days are over. This movie is very special to me and seeing it for the first time in theatres was really touching.
Funny thing is that Creep is the least favorite song of the band themselves. They hated how popular it became. I will always Radiohead, ever since I first heard Paranoia Android when I was a kid (that video was so damn weird to boot). Hell, just yesterday I heard Fake Plastic Trees in the grocery store and it really hit me in the feels. Am I really getting that old?! I had to ask myself
@@MultiBoxingKid yup. I think I need help tho cause all I do everyday is rewatch all 3 of the movies till it’s like 10:00PM and go to bed.. that’s my routine..🥲
As someone who basically had Creep cradle them like a baby, hearing this song was a warm filling inside the hollow of my throat. A bit deep, but that's the best way to describe a segment like this.
It's like James telling me right from the intro "you're in for a treat" seriously I don't know a lot of comic book movies hell ANY COMIC BOOK MOVIES with an intro like this.
This scene almost made me cry, because it transmits so many emotions... After Thanos, after Gamora's death the Guardians were not the same, they were just a depressed band of jackasses. Plus Rocket still suffering enormous trauma from his childhood, then the prisons, then his friends dying (Groot dying twice) and seeing the mess Peter became after Gamora's death...he suffered too much. It truly was an impacting scene, because it showed that in that instance, the Guardians of the Galaxy have become the losers of the galaxy...maybe they always were. Plus Creep by Radiohead was the only song to have made me actually cry, so there is that.
@@vanomxxx *loud incorrect buzzer* jokes aside, although it’s not in their Top 10 for me, it’s still a great song and i actually prefer the acoustic version
3:10 is one of the best title cards a movie has had. Definitely the best MCU one. The climax on Creep with the slow walk and the text appearing and the way it's framed has such "It's a mess right now but it's all going to end okay" vibes to it. This just gets me really hyped for the James Gunn DC universe
i think they spread the money over mutule projects because there is no way MARVELS cost 300 million, the Internet is full of crap. yes, it is great storytelling.
When Rocket sings the "I wanna have control, i want a perfect body" lines, you can actually hear him more clearly, which might be emphasising those lines because he relates to them more-? Or it's just my ears messing with me
After the previews,I was prepared when the movie. Literally the moment the movie started,it played "Creep" and when I heard it for the first time I was heartbroken 4 both Rocket and the team 😢💔 (The movie was extraordinarily awesome by the way 👍) I also luv how Rocket also sings along to the music, which makes the opening extra sad 😢
This movie is one of my favorite movies and it’s very special to my mother because watching the gardian of the galaxy movies was one of our favorite things to do and was a good way to get a couple of laughs from watching a movie(rocket being her fav character) This song also was her favorite song aswell and her birthday was a week after the movie came out.And so this movie is a good way to think about her.e
Film is a powerful art form that always strives to convey meaning. However, the interpretation of that meaning depends on the audience. I think this opening scene will likely resonate differently with viewers who have experienced different childhood traumas or abuse.
Some people say that the Guardians movies are too quirky and funny And while they can be, when they get serious, they REALLY get serious. I have every hope in James Gunn to do Superman. The man is on another level.
@@azurawolfe5000 well it was his series, like doing another hellboy movie without Guillermo Del Toro, oh wait that happened. David Harbour under his direction would have been awesome.
Oh no here come the waterworks again, why do I do this to myself. Serious props to Bradley Cooper for making us all feel something for a hybrid raccoon.
Nebula looked so sad when Peter, in his drunken self said, I love you Gamora. edit: I think Nebula's time with Iron-Man lost in space having to deal with his genuine personality as only Tony Stark can do definitely help Nebula become more, for lack of better words, human.
0:10 notice the aspect ratio shift from 2:35-1:85 transitioning us from rocket's prison life to his free life (is he actually Free though?) great visual storytelling there.
Radiohead and The Flaming Lips are my two favorite groups ever and even though I’m not a Marvel fan, I appreciate that they included music from both of them in this last chapter. Hoping that the youth of today that see it will come to love them as much as we have.
I’ve been a marvel fan my whole life (True Fact, I came out the womb and iron man 1 was on) and I’ve watched every single lore accurate movie + show and I’ve never cried but when I watched this in theatres I cried 3 times 1. When rocket nearlly dies from Adam Warlock 2. When Lylla, teefs and floor died 3. When Rocket Found his baby brothers
I didn’t even remember this from the movie because when I watched it I was on a third date with a girl and the whole time I was just focused on whether or not I was gonna make a move. I never did and we broke up after like three months of dating (long distance so we didn’t meet in person that much which is why I barely got the chance to make a move) where we texted each other every day and were pretty much best friends and then we broke up… then I listened to creep by Radiohead on repeat cuz I’m depressed and heartbroken af and now I’m watching this. Life’s weird huh… I miss you Celeste…. Imma learn this on guitar and maybe it’ll help me get over it or get you back… ugh…
Don't worry bro, I also recently broke up with my girlfriend, we had been dating for like 11 months and we got in a couple of fights and she just gave up and dropped me like a brick and just pretends I don't exist. It hurts like hell and I don't wish it upon anybody. If you do win her back thats great but if you don't, you shouldn't worry too much about it because maybe she just wasn't right for you. and I know that that is very painful to hear but you will find the right person.
@@DragonshotProductions You are not depressed lmao. Stop self diagnosing. You can only say that you are depressed if you have a doctor's certificate lmao
Perfeito como não fizeram em outros filmes e utilizaram apenas um trecho de 15 segundos de uma música linda como essa, deram um jeito de por a música inteira e ficou perfeito, cada segundo!!
It’s possible rocket held onto Quills ZUNE after he was dusted because it’s something he could keep on him that reminded him of his guardians family. Rocket doesn’t get his own music player until the end of this movie, which is a gift from Quill.
