Ok so Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 is now out and throughout this video we're gonna be breaking down the full movie, it's easter eggs, ending and also those post credits scenes. Featuring the final out for this version of the Guardians this also closes the book on James Gunns time at Marvel. It's because he's still saying "I am groot" but, like gamora, our attachment to groot has made it so we can understand what he was saying. Just before that scene is the scene where we see that Gamora can suddenly understand groot after everything they'd been through together and how close they got. Then suddenly we too can understand him in order to make us feel like we've also developed that connection with the characters

@@andrewdickens7016 Absolutely right that she WOULD see herself in him. Tortured by his father figure and disfigured and hounded. They have a lot in common. However, she doesn't know that. Rocket has never spoken of it, and doesn't allow anyone to see his disfigurement. I say that she just has affection for him because they have been side by side. I would LIKE to think that the bond is emotional, and based on friendship, not based on their similar torture.

Thanks to Rocket’s sad and heartfelt backstory, Vol.3 reminds us these films were never about guarding the galaxy but about a bunch of broken screw-ups saving themselves. Easily the best volume in the series.

It was. Guardians was the only series that was good from 1 to 3. This one is the best but all of them were good. I mean, all of their soundtracks smh, so good. I can't even recall a movie that ever made me feel real visceral anger before. The way dude grabbed rockets head in the firdt act, woah! I wanted that dude dead. Whole ass movie. Rocket finding out he is actually a raccoon was the best.

Been a long time since I’ve come out of a final film in a trilogy so satisfied with the ending that I don’t feel like I need anymore. Probably one of my favourite MCU films by far. I don’t think any of them have taken me on an emotional roller coaster as this one has.

Bruh, gunn had me feel real visceral anger when dude grabbed rockets head with 2 hands. I can't recall any movie making me feel that raw emotion. I wanted guy dead dead. I think Gunn knows that marvel isn't releasing anything good anymore, it's all woke trash. After 14 years of being a fan, all the way since Iron man 1, I'm satisfied to say, this was a great way to close out marvel. I don't think I'll be seeing anymore of their stuff as it's all agenda propaganda stuff now and I think Gunn knew that when he was filming and made sure us fans had a proper send off as well. Thoroughly happy with this one. Best of the series by far. I love that Gunn let the language fly and didn't care. Nothing in this movie felt like it was besting anyone in the head with woke nonsense, it was paced great start to finish. I can't think of anything the movie was lacking.

Bruh! I can't even remember a movie where I felt visceral raw anger at a character on screen. When dude grabbed rockets head with both hands, like, I wanted dude gone gone. No quick death smh. Gunn did an amazing job and that's how you're supposed to write a villain. We're not supposed to like thr villain smh. This dude. Experimented on thr animals. Ughhhhh, he didn't hold back and good on him. It's hard to find a director and writers in Hollywood with some God damn BALLS!

Rocket's first word was "hurt". I think one of the main focuses of this film is empathy. Mantis is called "weak" but in the end, her empathy helps save lives. It's empathy that allows us to feel so strongly for Rocket and his friends locked in cages and never seeing the sky. I cried so much during this film. This film made me feel so much.

That hallway scene was...epic. wasn't to long, but was not short. It's good to see how the tram worked together. I like how they brought back almost every character from the firdt 2 films also. Groot saying he loves us was a nice 4th wall break to us fans. Gunn truly cared about thr fans the entire way through. Easily the only series that was consistent from volume 1 to closing out volume 3.

I feel like Gamoras journey here is reflecting James Gunn in the end. They tried to kill him off but he came back, he’s already been off doing something else in Suicide Squad just like Gamora joined the Ravagers. They rejoined Marvel/Guardians and even with the same loved ones around them as before things weren’t the same because they knew their time on that journey was done, it was a different person and it was time to move on. So they both went back to that something new they had created in DC & The Ravagers.

The way she peaced out with her new 3 friends was so gangster. Not something we've seen her do. Idk, this was a great movie imo. It's been like 5 years since we had a decent marvel movie. Was no stupid agenda message, no dudes were made weak to make other characters seem better etc. It was simply what these movies are supposed to be, a good time. The first fight we hear Star Lord get into is when he stands next to his mother with a black eye. He fought some kids trying to defend a frog they “squished”. Interesting his first and last fights are related to saving animals from a given threat. Sticking up for the little guy.

Nebula was my MVP of the movie. I love how her character arc finished with such a huge departure to who she was in the first GOTG. There were plenty of tear jerker moments in the movie, but Nebula getting emotional after hearing Rocket's voice was the scene that hit me in the feels. Totally agree on the over use of songs. I get that music has always played a big part of the GOTG but it felt most of the scene transitions were excuses to fire off golden oldies and it got taxing very quickly. 12:58 Did Groot actually say that, or was this the movie convention where the audience hears English but the character is actually speaking in their own language?

I love the ending, it was great that each of the original members have gone their separate ways to find themselves. It was like watching a story unfold but left you decide where the directions are for them. I’m gonna miss them all, it’s also sucks that they had to separate, but I know at the very end, each of them will eventually be together again as a whole.

This movie felt like a real love letter to fans from James. It kept everything iconic that we associate with the Guardians, the pioneers of funny superhero’s and the badass slomo walks. Such a beautiful way to end the guardians journey.

@@kb523 yup, when they were walking to the hallway, notice how gunn put quill to the far left. Everyone got an adequate amount of time. Everyone got character progression and resolution. So happy for Nebula, her love for rocket felt real. Rocket finding out he is a raccoon. I mean, God damnit Gumm, you didn't it you sob, you fucking did it. I think this will be thr last of good marvel we're gonna get for quite some time. Soak it up. I'm trying, but I can't think of any negatives on this one. Any dispute I can think of is easily outweighed by something else. This movie had zero fat to trim. They did it in 2 and a half hours and I felt like there was no scenes that could've been cut. The digital directors release is gonna be the first DVD ive bought in over a decade. Maybe 2.

The lyrics to Radioheqd’s Creep in film not only describes Rocket’s journey but also describes High Evolutionary purpose in life. I think this is a creatively good decision to include the song. Smart and subtle.

@@nerd5948 he says "I love you guys" which if you pay attention, the characters don't notice anything, so we think, that because they can understand him after spending time with groot, that we the audience are meant to hear what he is saying, understand him. Gunn basically talking to us the fans. 4th wall break. Vin diesel loves the character groot, he must've been so excited when gunn told him that he'd be saying that line.

I think that the bittersweet ending accelerated the film to the top or near-top of the list of best MCU films. Even the goodbye that Gamora and Peter had was just extraordinarily brilliant and just so REAL. I especially liked how Gunn stuck to the idea of turning misfits into heroes for their old friends, new friends, and children. Each member proved for themselves to be honorable beings as they grew and learned from their mistakes. It just goes to show that nothing lasts forever, but you can still enjoy the experience and evolve into something greater than you were before. I think that these characters' evolution is something even our society can learn from. Rather than always playing things by "the book," these characters made their lives into evolving with whatever challenge was thrown at them.

I'm gonna be emotional about GOTG3 for a while! 😭Man, the Star-Wars sequel trilogy couldn't even dream of every main character getting an entirely satisfying arc within a coherent plot like that. The Guardians trilogy nailed the landing completely. Tears. Nebulas reaction to Rocket surviving made me well up immediately. Really special, really reminded me how magical fiction can be.

It really was emotional. Quill had the warped perception of his grandpa "yelling at him and pushing him out of the room" which we all know wasn't true. But to an 8 year old kid that's EXACTLY what that feels like. Then to see his grandpa almost break down in tears when he comes back was just so perfect

I think Lylla being called an associate of Rocket was simply an Easter Egg, that has since been retconned. Just like Gamora being the sole survivor of her people, when later her planet and half the population are still alive, or Thanos at the end of The Avengers, being told that to challenge the Avengers is "to court death" referring to Thanos's motivation in the comics version of Infinity War, where Death is a character that Thanos is literally courting... Great breakdown and I for one am happy that the Guardians all survive their final film (for now)

I'm sorry, but this one was truly the best of them all. I felt, all the emotions and they kept beating me over the head. It was a fun ride from start all the way to "alien abduction, Kevin bacon tells all" like omfg. This was SO GOOD! Thr hallway fight scene omg. The anger I felt for rocket. Finding out he IS a racoon. So many times I grabbed my dog to steal a hug. Man, I'm so glad Gunn didn't just make a movie and leave, he made sure to leave in fashion as he does. Everyone got their moments. Nebula truly caring even deeper for rocket after she saw what they did to him. Lila telling rocket it's not his time. Cosmo kicking ass. Nowhere coming out of nowhere to blow the ship up. Draw finally getting his dad moment. Mantis just peacing out with her new friends. Not giving some Hollywood cliche ending for gamora and Peter. It was just so good. So far Guardians are the only trilogy they have that was good on every part. Sure thr second may not be as good as 1 or 3, but it wasn't bad. This for me is in the top 3. Winter soldier, black panther and now guardians 3 for sure. Omfg, we saw KING GROOT! When he said I love you guys, yup, that sent me. Welp, I think I'm officially done with Marvel now. They gave me 14 years of good movies and growth. I'm play if they don't make anymore movies. This is a proper send off, anything else now will be trash. Hope everyone enjoyed the movie as much if not more than me. Shit was good. No marvel movie has made me feel deep anger like the way thr guy grabbed rockets head. Oh boy, I was so angry. Rocket shouldn't have killed the dude. His face scars was enough.

A fitting end to a great trilogy, i did nearly cry when Lyla and Teefs died. Perhaps it was a bit overlong and they could have done more with Adam Warlock but overall i really enjoyed it and its the best Marvel movie since Spiderman no way home

I watched a few reviews from RU-vidrs that were bashing it and were saying it was worst out of the 3. It got me bummed, because I didn’t like Quantumania or Love & Thunder and thought they ruined this one too. But I’m glad I still went, I loved the movie from beginning to end. The light/medium gore, to the first f bomb was entertaining. Even getting a little emotional when they played the first song introducing Star Lord from the first film.

The High Evolutionary’s story was like 86% accurate to the comics 🔥🔥🔥🔥 . I like how James Gunn wrote his backstory in a vague way that definitely leaves the door open for a possible connection to Scarlet Witch. I wonder what planet he is from since he said he visted “your planet” before . He listened to earth music that’s 5k years old . He’s been building civilizations and species for 300 years. He mentioned he left earth because the humans were racist and didn’t appreciate his “genius” just like the comics

I don't think so, after the success of Mario, I don't think Disney will wanna do work with Pratt again. But then again, now that Disney's going woke most people don't wanna do business with them anymore so good them. This is the most marvel thing we've gotten since like 2018. No woke message, no agenda, it felt like a marvel film from a decade ago. A good ride, stuck close to the source material. It really felt like gunn wasn't gonna let anyone tell him what he was gonna make. He brought back characters from both first and second films. In his "special thanks" in the credits, us fans were number 1. I don't think marvels gonna make anything good from here on out. We got 14 years and like 20 something good movies. Told a story over an entire decade, never been done. I think we're good now. Lol.

It's a way for Gunn to break the 4th wall and speak directly to the fans. There's a "special thanks to" part towards the end of the credits and the first people he thanks is The Fans. I think this is partly because when they fried him we the fans wernt having none of that cancel culture shit as he was making good movies and they were trying to fire him for anything at that point. He wasn't gonna allow them to step on his creative process, which is why his movies in the MCU doesn't have some woke message or anything. It's his films, he wasn't gonna let anyone try and do that to his work. He's a director that just wants to make good movies, he proved it with his series. But now that Gunn is out of marvel, I think this is the end for Disney, star wars and marvel are woke trash no one's asked for.
