Sounds to me like it was the camera's mic that captured the sound and not your usual mic. Maybe you accidentally shut it down, and the camera's one picked up the recording.
When I first saw this movie in the theatre with my gf, I couldn't believe I cried at this scene at 27:21, my gf has been laughing at me since, damn you touching scene by Marvel!
The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when Dog Days Are Over (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite.
My dad so really wants to watch this and he got to see it. Hes really declining as old age is catching up... but this comic book series he actually actively bought/followed as a kid.
To this day, the Guardians trilogy are the only marvel movies that my dad will watch. And while I've seen all of them, I can see why. I believe that the guardians movies are the best set of movies in the MCU. I even actually like them more than the Avengers movies.
I really like the moment that Groot said "I love you guys". Because he always said "I am Groot" but others perfectly understand what he actually says. And finally, you can understand him too. With that way the makers of this film tells us "Now after 3 films you are also part of the crew - part of the family😊😊😊" That's very sweet🥹🥹🥹.
Rocket: "I'm done running!" My favorite line. And in case you didn't notice, High Evolutionary was actually still alive, you can see Drax carried him off the ship before explosion. And in the delete scene, Rocket locked him in a cell for his crimes. Maybe one day he will change, like Groot said, "everyone can have a second chance."
My favorite line was... Rocket: name's rocket, rocket...raccoon It meant so much to me because as i remember in the first gaurdians of the galaxy Peter called him a raccoon but rocket was like what's a raccoon and I said what's a raccoon...bro your a raccoon 😅. But I guess because of high evolution he didn't tell rocket that or rocket just didn't know that himself which is sad. But going towards the end when he saw all those other animals and what they looked like which they look like him the same and saw the name of what they were he then realized the whole time he was a raccoon too and he tried to save them. Rocket raccoon has been my favorite character from the start.
Nah, he won't change for the new gotg movie or what ever it will be rocket is literally gonna regret not killing him and he's gonna do more damage to the people close to him.
Saddest part for me was the death of Floor the rabbit. She is so innocent and kid like. When lylla get shot and killed she gets so scared and panics starts screaming" rocket teef floor go now, rocket teef floor go now" just to die seconds later. 💔
My little girl is autistic and has this type of speech pattern. I burst into tears because when I heard Floor was saying it, I know my daughter would have said it exactly the same way.
Actress Mikaela Hoover who voiced Floor did a phenomenal job. I rarely get emotional or attached to characters in a movie, much less animated ones. But she really did break my heart with "Rocket, Teefs, Floor go now!" Such a simple line, but she put so much pain and fear into it, that for a moment, I could feel true sympathy for her character. As one commenter pointed out, Floor's rabbit instincts were telling her to run, but she couldn't leave her family, so she stayed, begging them to go with her. I'm surprised that Hoover hasn't done more that I've heard about, she has talent.
That one line got me so hard. I couldn’t stop thinking about it for like a week, it actually made me feel so bad. She sounded so panicked, desperate and scared.
This movie definitely brought back the luster to the MCU. Such a fantastic end of a trilogy. The Guardians started as a D-list characters group that nobody knew about, and James Gunn managed to make them into the most beloved group of the MCU besides the Avengers. I cried while smiling at the end of the movie, knowing that now that James Gunn is gone to DC, and Dave Bautista and Zoe Saldana have both very clearly stated they're done with their roles, this is the last time we're seeing this particular group. I'm still looking forward to the adventures of the Legendary Star Lord, trying to get used to a "normal" life on earth, which, to him, after all his life spent in space, must feel super alien ! Just going to do the groceries must be quite an expedition ! If you need your fix of the Guardians, and haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you the Guardians Christmas special. It's a short movie that focuses on Drax and Mantis trying to find a Christmas gift to Peter so they could cheer him up ! It's only half an hour long, and it's absolutely hilarious. You really see more of the chaotic comedic duo that Drax and Mantis get to be when paired together, and once you've seen it, you understand why Drax is so attached to Mantis and cries when she's gone.
Never thought a movie would have me tearing up over a raccoon, but here we are! Lots of emotional moments throughout this movie. And man, as much as it breaks my heart to see the Guardians of the Galaxy come to an end, I love that they all found their own "path" in the end. Maybe way down the road, and this is just wishful thinking, we will get one more movie with them coming back together where the end credits leaves us, the audience, knowing they are together again, somewhere out there, protecting the universe. But as endings go, I think they gave them all proper sendoffs. So if this truly is the end and James Gunn never changes his mind on bringing them back, I am okay with how it ended. That said, the GOTG will always be my favorite MCU characters. Going to miss this group👌
@@arcanevi4477 Yes, very aware. Sarcasm should have been implied. You know, since Rocket spends nearly the entire franchise of movies denying he is a raccoon until he sees it on the cage he was in? Let's not take it that seriously.
Rocket's scream was such a powerful moment... The first official F bomb in the MCU that's quality content right there Man it's so amazing to think about how far Nebula has come My favourite moment is at the end when Drax starts dancing as the song reaches its climax
I don't think I've never had as many goosebumps in my knife watching a film. Always loved the guardians and I came out of the cinema releaved. Amazing trilogy ❤️
Thanks Magy you made me very happy to remember this movie. In that scene 39:16 we understood what Groot said, now we understand the groot language 😢 "i love you guys" ❤. Thank you so much James Gun for this film and thank you Magy for this video.
I finally saw this the other night so I couldn't watch your reaction until just now lol. The emotions from this movie are still raw. It touched me deeply. Seeing Peter and Mantis go their separate ways was so sad but I understand why. By the way, Linda Cardinelli who voiced Lyla always plays Hawkeye's wife. She is a gem of an actress and from what I know, she is loved by everyone. A director's dream. Thanks for your genuine reaction to this 💖
Hi Magy, I just watched this a couple of days ago🙂In the U.S. it is in theaters and available for purchase on Video On Demand, but not on Disney+ yet for streaming. It should be streaming sometime in August here. You will probably see more viewers next month when it streams. It was pretty sad.😭Yeah, the Rocket back story was very good! Great reactions to the third Guardians of the Galaxy film, Magy!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So did Groot really say "I love you guys" or did he actually say "I am Groot" like he always does and after all this time we are all just finally able to understand him as well?
I think it’s the second one because no one reacted to it. So Its supposed to be for us, if another one comes or a spin off, I’d suspect we will be able to hear him.
If you want to see a more likeable character played by Chukwudi Iwuji (High Evolutionary) in another James Gunn project, watch Peacemaker. BUT FIRST, watch the 2nd Suicide Squad movie (also directed by Gunn) before you watch Peacemaker! Would love to see your reaction to them =) And yes, Magy has seen the 1st Suicide Squad movie.
This movie starts pulling at our heartstrings from the very beginning, showing us bits and pieces from Rocket's early years, all those adorable racoons. Right after that, we can clearly see all of them are very much bored and without purpose but Adam's arrival galvanized everyone into action, especially after Rocket was injured so grievously. As we progress further and further into the movie, seeing more of Rocket's past shows just how much he was experimented on, the torture he was going through, it truly paints the High Evolutionary as a despicable character, probably the most hated villain in the MCU so far. Gamora's character is definitely...something else in this movie but it is nice seeing Nebula's evolution as a character, trying to temper her sister down and even keep the Guardians together at times. Groot also was showcased in this third installment quite a bit more, showing just how badass he is and even growing wings. That scene was really cool. It feels like everyone got their happy ending but seeing the end of an era, it's sad nonetheless, I agree with you. This movie, unfortunately, suffers from the same (sometimes) weird comedic moments forcefully inserted in the middle of sad scenes, just like in Thor Love and Thunder and even Thor Ragnarok. It does have the tendency to minimize those sad moments by making you laugh when it's really uncalled for. The soundtrack, like you pointed out, is an absolute banger and for that, James Gunn gets all the praise. Overall a really good movie, way better than anything the MCU released recently. Thank you for this beautiful reaction, I enjoyed watching this with you ❤
All the marketing that ever happened for this movie were giving a hint that Rocket was going to die in this movie. Everybody was getting ready to witness it. Hopefully, it didn't happen 😊😊😊
First minute of your intro, I am sitting here looking at your makeup and thinking how ruined it is going to be over the next 40 minutes Lylla, to me was the brutal part. 36:34 "Cosmo" the dog (based on Laika, the first documented animal to orbit the earth) was using her telekinetic abilities to keep things held in place to allow the evacuation. She was saying She can not hold much (longer) It wasn't about space for everyone. At 36:43 Cosmo collapsed from sheer exhaustion. 41:19 I am impressed, you chose your makeup well.
Gunn is planning a Star Lord 'solo' film, which is weird since he's head of DC but will be doing a Marvel film. May be with Gunn there, we can expect a crossover like the comics have done several times. Fairly certain there will be a Rocket led Guardians film. Not sure if Gunn will be doing that though.
Hey magy as always thank you for another awesome reaction video, guardians of the galaxy vol.3 is definitely one of my favorite movies of the year, it had everything all rolled into one amazing film!❤
James Gunn is amazing at having all these characters work & being so dysfunctional love it and rocket is the best character him and groot are my favs I’m happy no one died
War Pig reminds me of Orcs from anime. Also, do not use the term, "When pigs fly" around the High Evolitionary, because he will literally make pigs fly.
I told you that you would love this movie lol. It was a very dark movie but it was well done. The Starlord space jumped almost destroyed me but I’m glad to see I wasn’t the only one
James Gunn has confirmed that the H.E. didn't die with his ship, but was rescued by Drax at the last minute and was locked in the Knowhere prison, doomed to live the rest of his days in the same squalid conditions he subjected his test subjects to.
Loved your reaction to this movie, was such an emotional movie and Chukwudi Iwuji's portrail was SO amazing!! He made you really hate the High Evolutionary with a dangerous passion! Amazing acting!
This movie was absolutely fantastic, and took me through the emotional wringer. I was crying right along with you, Magy! What an incredible trilogy!! ❤
So? Comic Cosmo is based on the real-life first dog in space, Laika. A female. James Gun specifically changed that to honor the original dog who died in orbit.
