Ever wanted to be the guard on Train Sim World 2? Well now you sort of can as on the 484 you have a fully working guard panel! Lets guard a service from Shanklin to Ryde St Johns. Hope you enjoy!

To guard a train more effectively, insert a key and switch to neutral fro, your preferred cab BEFORE the AI takes their place. And then, as soon as the AI tens their place turn their key off. This should prevent the driver operating the doors

Your answer the question "Are guards supposed to guard here" guards are always supposed to be in the non-driving Carriage or cab. This is so you can see the full Platform and a signaler (Mainline services) if necessary. Hoped this is helpful!

Yes as they also check and sell tickets as some stations are unstaffed

they dont always have to be in the non-driving carriage or cab. wherever there's a door panel, the guard can work at

You have to run the class 484 like a Metro-north LIRR M7 & M3 EMU basically You have to use the guard (US Conductor) door panel to open close doors. M3 Across the Driver cab M7 It's on the other side where the second cab seat is. If you are familiar with that then Class 484 should work for you

Technically you can press the buzzer four times to make it realistic to the driver sounding it back

Next time, i would recommend opening the local door first, then check the platform, open all doors, then check platform, close all doors, then yours

Issue with that is that the AI will simply open all doors before you've had a chance to check, so not possible (might have changed since doubt it)

This is only available with the Island Line 2022, the Island Line 2020 is a separate product

It doesn't I have used this guard panel now for a bit and It wont close anything unless you have set it to lock
